Do NOT go here if you want your tattoo finished. The owner Bobby will stop responding and the office voicemail is constantly full. You will never get another appointment scheduled or a response at all. Artwork is decent, but absolutely TERRIBLE management, organization, and customer service.

Found through Evite: Tried fluid art for the first time and it was such an amazing experience!! As it was only the 2 of us on Thursday night (can be busier on holidays or other class types), we really got the full experience ~ 2.5 hrs.Linh was our instructor/ artist who demonstrated her mastered techniques - live and through her artwork which are showcased in the gallery (also on FB). She really made us feel welcome, was REALLY patient with us, and gave us professional advice from her experience. Im also a worry wart and sometimes perfectionist but she helped loosen or fix any of my artwork doubts 😊What it came with: - 2 canvases to try on and option to add more if you want- complementary refreshments - wine, cheese and crackers ~ delicious- tour of the studio - tattoo and gallery sides- amazing experienceWed definitely come again. Went here for a spooky paint night workshop. Very fun and love my paintings! I have no experience getting a tattoo here, but the random workshops they have are fun! They included drinks, snacks and friendly group of people!

I got a couple piercings done here at the end of July 2019. Linh is hands down one of the most patient people I’ve ever met!! She explained the procedures and after care really thoroughly and made me feel super comfortable, and was calm and kind even when I was being annoying and a little squeamish during the process. I’m so, so happy with the work she did and I would absolutely recommend her to anyone and everyone! Definitely the only person I’ll be getting piercings from from now on.

I was there for a charity event, not a tattoo. Fantastic live music, a great cause. Loved seeing the artwork. Keep an eye on their art classes, such beautiful work. Their tattoos are gorgeous! Every tattoo Ive seen is a true work of art.

Times are absolutely wild. Making a reservation was complicated. But overall good ink.

This review is about Raw Ink Live located in Raw Ink Studio.....If you ever wanted to see a band up close you gotta go here!!! Perfect space to see a band and the sound is awesome!!!!the staff is really laid back and want everyone to have a good time....I like how they’re giving local bands exposure. One thing I’ll never forget was seeing a band perform after their set literally 5 mins later he’s standing next to me just enjoying the next band!!!! He wasn’t trying to steal the spotlight he was just enjoying the other bands!!!

Raw Ink Studio.I have been going to raw ink studio since 2009 when they have not moved to their new location. I have been very happy with my service back when and now. I am currently in the process of working with Bobby to get a piece Ive wanted. He works hand in hand with what I am going for and also draws out the design for you. He is honestly a master at his trade, I would highly recommend him. As for the other artists, I have seen all of their work and I would also trust them as well.As for the building itself, It is very clean. The bathroom is always clean as a whistle (a must). There is also a really cool art gallery within the building. There have been consistent live events there as well which are really cool if you are local.Overall, I would highly recommend checking them out if you are looking for any tattoo, coverup, piercing. Etc.

Amazing place! The artist are 2 of the best on the east coast. I have had my entire back and arm done by Bobby the owner and will definitely be going back for more. The venue has great bands and the ppl at all of the show I have been to have been great. Definitely recommend checking them out!!

Great tattoo shop to go and get work done. Matt brought back to life my first tat that was done in 1976. It was a dragon that looked like a seahorse, people would say. Matt fixed it so it looks like a dragon now. Im very pleased.

The lady at the front was really helpful and nice. They have really cool saltwater fish tanks all around the shop which was a bonus for me. I got both lobes pierced and Jason was super professional. He explained the cleaning regimen and answered all my questions. Two days in and no swelling or infection (fingers crossed).

Super friendly and chill place. Very talented artists. Matt has been my go-to guy for my tatts.

This place is over priced and does not offer any deals for group piercings. They have a very bad attitude through the phone when we try to ask a simple question.

I visited the shop in hopes of getting a new tattoo. I spoke with bobby(the owner) and he assured me that the shop was the place to get my next piece of art. I gave him my ideas and he said he was the man for the job and asked for my contact info so that he may schedule a consulting appointment.....sound great so far.. He let me know that he had a full schedule for some time a but he could still work with me in the mean time. I gave him all my contact information, left the shop very excited and ready to go.....only to never hear from him again. I do understand that he is busy, but it is no means professional to start to beginning process to find out it was bs

VERY impressive studio and artists, and I mean real artists with extensive skills. They can both ink in awesome detail AND still get a great deal done in half the time as other places, and at very good prices! Highly recommend their creativity and resourcefulness for pieces with any level of custom work, including ones in which you know exactly what you want!

I got my piercings done with Jesse. He was super professional and did an amazing job! He took his time to make sure everything was right and I loved that. My piercings cost a bit more than other places but definitely worth it. Professional, & clean. I am going to come back to Jesse for my next piercing.

This is a great place. Unlike other shops, I was not given a crazy price to get rid of me. I wanted some small work done. Matt Leo did a great job and I am planning on going back to him for my upcoming work. Thank you and the shop is a cool place to look around while waiting.

I had a 16 year old tattoo that needed to be refreshed. It had been redone about 8 years ago, with some success, but now needed work again. It looked more like an ink splash than a tattoo. I stopped in at Raw Ink and spoke with the owner, Bobby. After inspecting the tattoo, he expressed with confidence that remedial work could enhance the appearance of the tattoo. He explained what and how he intended to do the work and answered all my questions. I agreed. One of the best decisions Ive made. When he was finished, the tattoo did not look refreshed or restored; it looked NEW. Bobbys artistic and techical skills far exceeded my expectations. I would recommend without reservation.

Raw Ink Tattoo is the only place to go to get tatted! Super friendly and professional. All art is custom and the advice given by all the artists is superb! Wouldnt go anywhere else. I know people who travel across the country for tattoos from Raw Ink. Bobby is the man but all the artists are great. Not to mention the awesome fish tanks etc ;)

I saw Linh for a few ear piercings and she is amazing! She is a true artist, patient, friendly, funny, professional, quality, and everything is very clean/sterile. I felt at ease and safe in her hands. Linh took the time to explain after care instructions thoroughly and even gave me her direct number to call/text with any concerns or questions. Its been a couple weeks and my piercings are healing wonderfully because of her. If you are thinking of getting ears or anything pierced, I highly recommend seeing Linh!

Cant speak for the tats or piercings but the atmosphere is fantastic! Very relaxing and interesting environment. Enjoyed my time there!

A very professional Tattoo Studio that has incredible artists. I follow Bobby on Instagram and Im amazed at his work. They also do live music events which are really fun! Im saving up to get my back tweaked: it was originally done by another artist, and I cant wait to see the new result!

Had an appointment with Matt tonight, and Im beyond speechless!I had expectations going into the appointment; Im very picky and wanted my tattoo to look a certain way, it turned out completely different than what I imagined....Matt made his suggestions and gave great advice, I listened and trusted him, and Im so glad that I did!Im absolutely in love with my tattoo and immediately booked my next tattoo!Ive found the artist Ive been looking for to do my sleeve, and Im looking forward to working with him!

Great shop! I think the correct spelling was Ariyana l, but she was my artist today and she did amazing work. Soft hand clean lines and a good imagination to work with! She also has a tv in her room a almost knocked a season of Atlanta out today during my session lol. Nice store front too with cool art to check out. We’ll worth ur buisness to come to raw ink and Ariyana is a talented and sweet lady!

This is a long overdue review but much needed. I originally met the team at the Baltimore Tattoo Convention where I was turned down multiple times for my rib/cover-up piece. The only shop up for it was Raw Ink and after a session at the convention then another at the Studio where Bobby free handed the entire tattoo and did an amazing cover-up at the same time. I couldnt have been any happier with my tattoo and highly recommend this Studio to others. Also the shop was very clean and contrary to another review Bobby and the rest of the staff would always go outside to smoke. The prices are crazy reasonable compared to other shops in the state especially for the level of professionalism and expertise you will receive, so definitely check this place out guys. Thanks again Bobby and staff.

I would (and do) recommend Raw Ink to everyone I speak too, regarding tattoos! Bobby did a fantastic ribcage tattoo on me (of a breast cancer ribbon and a quote around it).I also sent my whole family to him! He did a phenomenal job on my uncles tattoo, he got a portrait done of his daughter (my cousin)- it looks as if it was a real picture of her from a camera. He also did my brothers 2 tattoos... one happens to cover his entire back lol. Bobby sits down with you, makes you feel super comfortable, and makes sure you love what your about to get. Now, the studio? thats a completely different story and deserves another 5 stars! I organized a promotional photo shoot in his studio a couple years ago- amazing location! Very clean, spacious, etc... they even have a Lounge with a movie theater style tv... need I say more?If you want a tattoo, go to Bobby W (the owner).. even if you dont live near Gaithersburg- its worth the travel! -Heather

I got my a rib piece done by the owner Dec 2012. He is in high demand, I waited 3 months for my initial appointment. My tattoo is amazing, he free handed the tatt to contour to my body. Its a rib tatt, it hurt like hell to be expected. Rob however is very meticulous about his craft, so you are guaranteed to have an awesome art piece.The service at the shop requires patience. I had 2 three hour sessions, the first time I showed up the shop was closed so I had to wait for someone to get there to open up. When they opened up he took back some chic who was a friend of his friend, and did a quick tatt on her, I overheard all of this as she was trying to get in with him. My session started well past an hour it was supposed to. He took a half hour break in the middle of one of my sessions which I didnt mind.Despite the horrible service, Rods work is amazing and I am not against getting another tatt from him.

This shop is owned by a heroin addict. He never finishes any tattoos instead he leads clients on and cons them into multiple sessions to milk them for more money. Dont support this shop or junkie. Also they smoke cigarettes inside and you can tell how unclean it is as soon as you walk in

I really would give no star because I went in there to get a price but none is the artist we’re there so that was ok but they had me fill out this paper so they could call me and let me know prices one month later still no call they must have a lot of customers because my money meant nothing to them I will never try to get a tattoo there
