This was my first storage experience so I had no idea what size I needed or how the whole self storage thing worked. Both Ed and Alberto were extremely patient with me and answered all my questions. I highly recommend this place! I have rented storage units in the past and I have to say, this place is the best! I rented online, sight unseen. The next day I received a call from Ed. He welcomed me as a customer with a personal phone call and wanted to make sure the unit I rented was the right size for my needs.When I arrived to take a look at the unit, I was given an orientation and shown how to use the garage. I love that a covered space is offered when moving items in or out of the unit! When taking a look at the storage unit itself, I was surprised by how clean everything was! The property and service were both impeccable.Renting a unit here has been a wonderful experience.

Ed and Al are knowledgeable, welcoming, helpful and accommodating. I was working with them from a different state and it was a pleasure working with them. The facility is clean and well looked after. I received a call a couple days after everything was moved into the units to inform me the movers didn’t lock one of units properly. This was a relief knowing the attention to detail they have and checking to make sure the units are securely locked and my personal belongings are safe and secure.

As one of those who have been pinned to the ground by the monstrous claws of the pandemic, I found myself putting some of my things at this storage. I met two very genuinely gracious gentlemen - Alberto and Ed. Nice place. Very nice current manager. But they have been raising prices excessively every 5 months. The entire storage business is gouging us.. We are captives.

This was my first time renting a storage unit and the experience was excellent! Alberto was very professional and courteous. He walked me through the entire process which was great since this was my first time. The info Alberto provided was useful when it came time for me to enter the storage space the next day when the office was closed.

If you need storage, this is the place to come! Brand new building and exceptional service. Prices are competitive, especially when a promotion is offered. Ed Reed, Assistant Mgr, was outstanding. He took the time to answer all of my questions, show me the units and take care of payment. He never passed me from person to person and showed me that good service really does matter!

This is a great storage unit! The staff was extremely accommodating and courteous. I knew my belongs were safe and secure, I was nervous about being afraid to go to my unit alone (I watch to many scary movies) but everything is well lit and I felt comfortable going there every time. This is my first storage locker and I have had a really great experience. The floor my unit on is kept very clean, temperature is always great, and Ive never experienced any over crowding at the entrance. I feel safe going here and keeping my possessions stored here!

I have rented at many self-storage units across the country for approximately 15 years. Self Storage Plus has been one of the nicest and cleanest places I have rented. I finally took the time to sort through my storage unit with my parents during some downtime. Both Alberto and Ed were extremely helpful while we were going thru my unit. They made sure our experience was excellent from start to finish. Above all else, their customers service was top-notch!

Alberto was great! My fiancé and are moving from out of town and needed a solution for some extra items. New company came in and bought out the building. Instantly raised the price by $30. Closed my unit.

With the previous management company, I got a reminder to make my payment a few days before it was due. With Self Storage Plus, I only get an email after Im already late. And theyre raising rent on my unit about 8%. On the plus side, they did wipe away a past due charge for me. I have not been to my storage unit since before the pandemic, so I dont know how well the building is being maintained.

Ed is very kind and helpful! I made a mistake on my online reservation and he fixed it without any problems! He gave me a complete tour, answered all of my questions and even helped carry boxes to my car! The facility is clean and secure.I highly recommend this place!!!!

Would give it zero stars if I could. I was owed a refund from the company that Self Storage took over overnight, with only a cryptic email that didnt even mention the old companys name (so I thought it could be a scam and almost ignored it). Self Storage told me it wasnt their problem to get me that refund. They also charged me a late fee because they changed over from the other company about 2 days before my payment was due, and I was mailing in my auto pay form which didnt get there by the due date. This was after I talked to the manager on the phone and shed told me shed waive the late fee for this month. I fought for literally three months to get a refund for both of these issues. The manager would say one thing over the phone and then charge me for a full month of rent anyway. After a while, the manager just stopped responding to my emails. Only when I told them to stop my auto pay since I wouldnt be paying full rent that month did they refund me. Worst customer service Ive ever experienced. Would never recommend this place to anyone, and will be getting out as soon as possible.

Renting a storage space from this extra storage location was a complete breeze...extremely efficient and easy from start to finish. I requested a quote online and someone called shortly thereafter. He asked great questions to make sure all of my needs were taken care of and even checked on an ideal spot for my unit. When I came the next day, check in was smooth, they were expecting me, the directions given were clear, it wasn’t busy and my movers got everything in very quickly. Nice that they provide moving carts and the whole place seems very secure. Very happy to store my belongings in such a well run spot.

I stopped by the facility this past weekend and noticed that the lights in my storage area were burned out. I brought it to the attention of Ed the Reed the Assistant Manager. He immediately addressed the issue and coordinated a maintenance call. He contacted me several times with an update on the status. Ed went above and beyond in addressing the issue and left a lasting positive impression for the facility and as an individual.

Booked storage space online. Within 30 minutes I spoke with Aman who helped me handle all the paperwork over the phone and online. I have rented storage space at other facilities and never was the transaction so smooth. Thank you Aman for all your help and great customer service. You truly made this an easy experience.

The prices are excellent, the service is terrific, Leo is a great guy to work with. In addition to this, the facility (9107 Gaither Rd.) is outstanding and super convenient to get to and in and out of. I had done some shopping around and this location was by far the best.***NOTE*** Their advertised prices do no include taxes/fees/etc, expect to pay ~ 1x to 1.5x month rent up front, and expect advertised monthly rental fees to be approx 20-30% higher than advertised. Even still, this is dramatically better than cube smart, who wanted to charge me 3x monthly rent up front, and the monthly price was near double advertised rates.

Aman and Leo have been amazing, theyve provided me with the level of customer service that is not common with storage facilities. I recently moved into the area and contacted Self Storage Plus in Gaithersburg, MD. My initial contact was with a woman named Janet Shipe, general manager. From my very first interaction she was nothing but friendly and helpful. The move was not an easy one for me but with Janet’s help everything went smoothly. I’m going to recommend anyone interested in storage go to the Gaithersburg location specifically because of the wonderful experience I had with her.

The Gaithersburg Extra Space Storage location is safe, well-lighted and very reasonably priced. The location has large well-lighted secure areas to load and unload. You pull into a large loading dock area with doors that can be closed in bad weather or during after-hours. I always felt safe there. The staff was helpful and pleasant. And, in addition, they have the best prices I could find. Highly recommend!

Leo was very knowledgeable and helpful. He had excellent customer service skills which made my transition easier while preparing to move. He suggested the perfect size storage space for me which put me at ease. I’m appreciative of his service. I’m comforted in knowing that my belongs are safe and secure in a well kept storage facility. I highly recommend this place! They were so helpful and answered all of our questions. The security in this place makes me feel comfortable leaving my valuables. They even helped us move in all of our boxes in and showed us multiple ways to get to our storage room. He also made sure we loved our storage room and moved us into a better room because our original room had a pipe in it. Very happy with our new storage place!!

Called today 8/22 and talked to a gentleman named Leo who was very polite and made sure the questions i had were answered. I was very surprised how easy it was to put together a game plan for a future transitional move ill be doing soon (storage, boxes including garment style . After ending the call i felt at ease to know the pricing ahead of time and doing so over the phone rather than in person. I also was very excited to know how secure this location is setup to be as this is my number one priority.I would give my experience over the phone 5 stars and go beyond by saying that in my opinion employees like Leo are a great example to this company because not a lot of businesses and staff will let you talk too long before interrupting you.
