My child’s trombone had a piece broken off and L&L Music was wonderful in replacing it immediately. We had great customer service and advice. We would definitely come here again. We highly recommend them!
Really top notch service! It is rare in any industry to find truly passionate experts who are available to consult, educate and service your equipment. Look no further. During COVID I brought my daughters online-bought flute here for service as it was not working well. It emerged as a night-and-day improved instrument. The owner took the time to educate me on the origins of my instrument, the materials, etc. Very reasonable prices, as well.
Very welcoming, family oriented and you will always learn one or two things from Steve
The staff here were amazing. They made me feel as though as I wasnt a fool for asking questions and learning more about music in general. I like their peaceful atmosphere and their wealth of experience. If I had to say one down said was that it didnt have music play which I was expecting to hear music but it also was nice and quiet which wasnt bad either
These guys were so nice and helpful I couldnt believe it. Dont think twice, go there for your music needs.
An amazing shop. Go there if you want nice employees and if you want quality woodwind instruments. The service is amazing and the display is nice. Oh, and there are 2 small fish in a pot.
Awesome people, great deals, super helpful. They can get pretty busy, but its worth the wait because they are all knowledgeable. They have low cost rentals. You can rent a used instrument or new. I wasnt sure if my kids would keep playing or continue with the same instrument, but they have a deal that lets you carry over your payments if you decide to go from a used to a new one. Eventually, you own the instrument.
Excellent customer service and personalized care!! They let you try things so you can make sure you have the right accessories for your instrument. The folks who work there are very knowledgeable. We totally lucked out as the gentlemen who assisted us actually play the instrument we were shopping for! Baritone sax! I called two area stores and they didnt have what we needed and thank God L&L did! Very pleased with our experience and glad that my sons instrumental teacher recommended them! Got what we needed and supported a local business. Win-win!
I have frequented L & L over the years. They consistently provide skilled repair and have a wide breath of expertise. For example, I recently brought in a cornet, and theres a professional trumpet player on staff! I usually interface with Steve, one of the owners. He is friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. He takes interest in his customers...I really feel that he genuinely wants to assist in your musical pursuits. Highly recommend.
Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Owner Steve has taken good care of my sons Alto Sax last 5 year and when my son was younger, he thought something wrong with his Sax and wanted to have it serviced. Steve inspected and smiled, Tried put some grease on the neck and let me tightened couple screws. The Sax was all good again. When I asked how much I owed him. He smiled and said Nothing!. Steve is kind and honest. My son enjoys going to the store for lessons and we let L&L do the maintenance service on our instruments.
Classic family owned and knowledgeable staff, this is the rare wind instrument music shop that helps musicians, not just a store. From onsite repair and lessons to accessories and rentals, this is THE place for pros and students.
Knowledgeable and friendly staff. The owner is delightfully nerdy and generous with his time
Very helpful with anything wind instrument. They also repair and clean. Busy times are when school is out, so drop off your instrument a day before to get in the queue.
L&L is one of the best wind shops on the east coast. I have been brining my horns in for tuneups for 15 years, and frequent their shop whenever I need a new mouthpiece, ligature, reeds etc. Steve and his excellent staff always are able to help me and their prices are great. I will continue to do my music business here for the foreseeable future.
I have had 17 instruments repaired at this shop numerous saxophones like 13 saxess and 3 trumpets and one flute. Various brands like Yamaha, Conn, opus, hawk, Kenndy g, cannonball stone series, all the instruments work after repair, and all of my mouthpieces work, mouthpiece and instruments do make music. All of these were my personal instruments not rentals. All they need in shop is Television for news and free donuts.
LL music instruments repair shop for saxophones with professional attitudes. After repairs on saxophones are done they sound great as a blues solo with B.B. king artist. Shop is quiet environment. They have discounts on reeds and mouthpieces. I brought a cannonball stone series tenor saxophones hotspur and sounds great. It took a while to receive. But it sounds awesome. I took my mint cannonball 789rl nickel plated condition trumpet there and it came back in mint condition. They are a great company for students and professionals to repair/buy instruments from Montgomery county Maryland
Great shop for brass and woodwind instruments! The staff are friendly, professional and experienced. Ive had consistently excellent experiences with purchases and repairs of my sons instruments over the years.
Purchased a used saxophone, had pads done and unit aligned. Was given a lot of advice on how to upkeep and pick out correct mouthpiece and reed. Customer service was great.
As a saxophonist, L&L is pretty much my one stop shop. Definitely the most diverse array of reeds and other important accessories such as mouthpieces that Ive seen at a brick and mortar store in the area. The staff is highly knowledgeable and their repair technicians have always done great work for me. Totally worth the 2 hour drive!
The service here was great and prompt. He looked at my sons alto saxophone, fixed the affected piece at no cost. Very passionate at the work he does, professional and knowledgeable. I will definitely refer. Thanks L&L
Dependable service for beginners and professionals. Great rentals for students. Excellent cleaning and repair services.
The best shop Ive ever dealt with. Fixed a problem 3 other repair people and factory couldnt get right. Wont use anyone else.
If you are first time customer and thinking to rent an instrument for your kid after a day of work and picking the kids at school? Well, think it twice, and be ready to spend some time there, you will be asked for your social security, driver license, credit card, name of the company you work for, the color of your eyes...interestingly, you could leave with the instrument after only your sign is stamped on the contract and before the credit report arrive. It is easier to rent a car! Another concern is that some much of your personal information is under a doubtful security.Despite this inconvenient and lengthy procedure, the store seems to be fine and cozy.
The person didnt repair the instrument properly. Had to go again!
Customer service is great, very patient/responsive. Willing to help meet customers needs whenever possible. My son & I traveled 1 1/2 hours each way because of the service & quality products/work received. Thanks L&L.
Weve rented from them before, and the staff there have always been very nice.
This is more than a music store. Its home to a community of craftsmen who are brilliant at what they do. And what they do ranges from providing expert repairs (they brought my 72 year old Buffet back to life!) and expert advice to anyone who plays, or wants to play, a wind instrument.
These guys are great for repairs and tune ups to your woodwind. Fixed up my tenor sax in just a couple of days. As good as new! I spoke directly with Steve Loeb, owner of the shop. Very personable and knowlegable, of course. Definitely take advantage of their readonably priced services again when necessary.
Was referred by the band teacher at Gaithersburg for a simple repair on a Baritone horn. Went to another local company the day before, and was told the instrument needed to be sent out, repaired, and would take a week to get back. Walked in to L & L, told them what I needed, woman walked to the back of the store, found the piece, handed to the repair guy, and I was out the door 2 minutes later. Could not have been any easier of a transaction. Wish I would have went to L & L earlier. Excellent.
It is not often enough that you come across a store where the owner is in love with the product but when you find one, it is a joy. He truly loves helping customers first and takes the time to make them feel welcome even when at time things are hectic.I take saxophone lessons there as well and think I have met most of the teachers and all are friendly and nice. My teacher has a lot of patience as my work schedule is not conducive to getting as much practicing in as I would like. The owner also teaches an instrument repair class and is helping me overhaul an ancient 90 year old sax. Nothing easy about this but never once said anything and took it as a challenge for us to finish.Do yourself a favor, go to the store once and just look, you too will be a customer.
Great store -- great products -- great people. Go to place for instruments and supplies. You can get professional level saxophones here - -the carry the Cannonball line -- its quite good. The service is incredible. I recently decided to upgrade my case for my selmer mark VI and asked them about the BAM case -- they ordered it and gave me a price that was impossible to beat based upon what I had seen online
Great musical tools for brass and woodwinds.
Wonderful place to go for all your brass and woodwind needs. Cant wait for the Rampone & Cazzani Saxophone Launch Party on June 9th.
Awesome daughter loves this place. Great customer service and great time teacher
Terrific customer service. Truly driven by the love of music!
I have been a client for over 10 years, for my brass instruments (and originally for an old family violin).Currently, I tutor there -- Trombone, Euphonium and Tuba (and occasionally Hebrew!!) -- and still, Steve and his staff is the only place that I allow to perform ANY work on my horns!!
Quick service, great horns
Really good service and fixed my baritone
