Clean cool little market. We came by to have a look and bought two tamales for lunch. They were super yummy and pork. Close the best tamales I’ve ever had in California- nice, soft, fresh and a great meat the mesa ratio. Grab one or two next time your there. We did the pork ones today.

Nice clean store. Friendly staff. Great food to go. I had Birreria combo plate. So flavorful came with roasted jallepenos rice and beans and tortillas. The meat is very tender and so tasty.

Fresh butcher shop. All the cuts you need. Competitive prices. I buy my special seasoning here, cant find it anywhere else! Everyone is always friendly and helpful.

Went there to get something to eat, but when you go I guess your supposed to figure out what part to order from🤔 The staff wasnt very friendly or helpful, they just helped who they knew, no signs or directions, so I had to get the servers attention and ask for a taco, in which she mumbled something in Spanish about taco s, I guess😬 gave me a couple of them and continued to the next customer, then on to the next guessing game, where do you pay for it?😬 figured it was where the other person was sitting UP in a box, so I got her attention and motioned with my tacos, I guess I found the check out😳 first and last time here, because your out of luck if you dont speak the language, and you feel like should of brought a interpreter, no customer service, felt unwelcomed, they own a business but seriously need to learn to interact with the people who DONT know them👎 after all that my tacos had chili I didnt want and BITS of ground meat!🤢

I have been going to Compadres Market for years now and always have been treated well even though I am non-Spanish speaking, however today was the last time I will be going there as I was blatantly disrespected by the ladies that work behind the deli counter. I showed up to order breakfast and there was only 1 person in front of me, but as I was waiting to order more and more Spanish speaking customers began to show up and stand behind me. Well this is where things went wrong, instead of helping me (who was next in line) the ladies started speaking in Spanish to the people who were standing around me, obviously taking their orders. I was told to wait a moment even though I had walked up to the counter as I was next. She began taking more orders for people who had literally just walked in. After 10 mins of this I decided to leave. I have never felt more discriminated inside a place of business before just because I didn’t speak the language (although I understand some from working in a Mexican restaurant for many years). If I could give 0 stars for this review I would. No one should ever feel like they didn’t belong based on the color of their skin.
