I LOVE Classic as a whole. It seems like every time I come to get a oil change one of your employee name Jonathan is very rude. This time he was extremely rude. The young lady who was waiting on me was nice and friendly. When my car was ready I was standing up front to pay for my service. Jonathan seemed me standing he never asked if he could help me. another gentlemen that was sitting next to Jonathan I asked him if he could help me all I wanted to do was pay for my car so I can leave he told me Jonathan had my paperwork. Jonathan jumped out of his chair and said the f--- word and hollow he has his own customers to get. No-one else was back there but me. All I wanted to do was pay for my car and leave. I made up my mind that day Jonathan will be the reason for me not coming back there to get my car service.

Twice i brought my car in to have the lever for the left back seat fixed, after it was supposed to have been fixed when I originally bought the car. The first time I made an appointment, but after the car was in the shop for 7 hours, I was told that the part never arrived and I would have to bring the car back another day. Last Wednesday I had a 9 A.M. appointment to have the lever fixed. I was there by 9A.M. because the girl at the desk said it would take awhile. On Wednesday at 4:30 I received a phone call from the dealer telling me that the car was not finished and I would have to wait until the next day to pick it up. The service department tried to say that I should have been told about how long the repairs would take. But, I was. When I called at 1 P.M. to check on the status of the car, I was told that they were just starting on the repair. I had to stay in Galveston Wednesday night and miss all of my appointments on Thursday because of the inefficiency of your operation. Everyone was very nice but I am not happy because of the inefficiency of your operation.

I purchased a vehicle in 2019 and thought that was the last time we would contact them for anything since it’s over an hour drive from my home. My vehicle purchase included 2 oil changes and both times I’ve had such a difficult time getting my local dealership to locate them on the system... Every time I would call this dealership(Galveston) they found the service on their end and were so helpful to the point where they called my local dealership and explain the whole process on finding those services because the representative would not understand that I did not purchase the service because they were ALREADY included when I purchased my truck. The lady in the service department I was in(my local dealership) made me feel like I had no idea what I was talking about because my “service expired in 2019” so I really appreciate Galveston dealership representatives going above and beyond to help me resolve my issue.

The dealer had the vehicle in stock and was as described, I made the 2hr. trip and was taken care of in a timely fashion. Every one at the dealership was courteous and professional answering my questions and showing me the features of the vehicle. The buying process was smooth and fast. Overall one of the best experiences I have had purchasing a vehicle.
So many things went wrong hard to determine where to start. Dropped truck off for oil change, issue with auto stop/start and question about truck jerking when backing up or hard shifting during acceleration. This is a certified pre-owner GMC truck with 34000 miles when purchased a few month ago and we had driven about 3000 miles since purchased. The reason for the stop/start was determine to be weak battery (how did that pass the certification but like the tires if seems bare minimum is require to be certified by GM vehicle) they couldnt reproduct the jecking or acceleration issues. The oil change was not done and have to return for that. So after 10 days nothing was done except a muti point inspection. Covers for battery terminal were left in passenger seat and had to wait while they got installed after a long wait just to find my truck in the service department. Please note I also purchased the extended warranty during the purchase purchase and assume I wasted that couple thousand going forward. The purchase and service at this dealership has not been a pleasant experience and willing to express my opinion to other about both.

Service department is a joke. Had our car several times over several months. Charged warranty company for parts they failed to replace and ended up with us responsible for a new motor. We got GMC involved at the request of the dealership we purchased vehicle from. We took all correspondence and pictures. Also showed our oil change records. Yet Classic told GMC we only changed oil twice in the lifetime of the car. Service manager is never available and Service writers can never answer any questions.
Five minutes before we leaving for the Galveston, I saw they posted a advertisement in an app, then we decided to take a look. If you tracking my posts, you might notice that we were in the market for a long time. However, we disappointed with the sales in Houston so much. Most of them were pushing and eager to take your money out. They kept smiling, but once you showed your hesitation to the vehicle you may not like it that much, they could be very rude. Just keep asking you why you don’t spend money there, or forcing you telling them your bottom line. Especially if you decide to go, ninety percents you are going to meet their managers. If the manager is an old style guy, congratulations, he/she could give you a warm goodbye. If the manager is well dressed, wearing a big ring, or a omega, 95% the manager will give a lesson for what you missed without making deal with them, like you are the most full client in the world. But here is different. Their sales may not pass you a bottle of water, but I swear the smile on their faces are so sincerely. It’s not that big. A small building for all the GM brands. No pushing, no blaming. You just need to talk with one of them like talking with one of the stuffs working for the gas station next to your house. I think if you want to get a GM vehicle, no matter New or used, just heading for here with your family members as well as beach chairs!

I purchased the vehicle for the most part on line. I did drive from Hou to Galveston to complete paperwork and pick up the truck. I think that Classis could gain greater advantage by promoting local tourist attractions. My wife and I went and had lunch on the strand while the vehicle was in make ready and recommend you offer a discount or voucher to a local venue. I believe they would appreciate it and Classis would get more foot traffic.

I had to return to the service department 5 times to finally get resolution on my vehicle. They had my vehicle 2 weeks the first instance and sounded surprised when I asked when it would be ready. the finally time they had it for a week with no updates during that time. They where all friendly and wanted to get my issue resolved, it just took a very long time and numerous returns to finally get resolution. They also have an extremely long wait time for loaner car when work needs to be completed for warranty work.

On 11/09/20 I traveled to Galveston from Dallas to purchase a truck that I saw on line. When I arrived, I was told that this particular vehicle had been sold. While staying in Galveston the check engine light came on (on our 2020 Equinox) and we received a notice from OnStar that our engine needed to be serviced within 1 day. The vehicle was very jerky upon take offs and sluggish while driving. We immediately went to Classic Chevrolet service department. We were told they couldnt check it for at least 3-4 days. We have less than 4,000 miles on this vehicle and fully under warranty with GM. Also because we live in Michigan and winter in Galveston our vehicle was purchased in Michigan and not from them so they would not provide a loaner even for warranty work. I wasnt aware of this policy with any other GM dealership I have ever been with. I will absolutely be sharing this information with the entire group of Winter Texans who we associate with while here for the winter. The service person did not even want to talk with us and her only focus was that we didnt buy from them and they were so busy because of the weather last week. Will not be back for any reason and we definitely not recommend this business.

This was by far the worst customer experience I have ever experienced and wish I had used any other shop than Classic. My car would not start towards the end of September. I had it towed to your dealership and talked to John about contacting my insurance for a claim because he suspected water damage to the engine. I initially asked to be notified if there were any issues because he mentioned he would be handling the insurance. I waited two weeks because I did not want to bother the shop only to find out he had not heard from my insurance company, so my car had not been worked on at all. I called my insurance and had the issue sorted out that day which could have been sooner if I were notified by John what was going on. I waited another week and called John to find out there was another hold up with the insurance before starting on the car. I once again got that taken care of that same day by calling the insurance but was not notified by John, so another week was wasted. The following week another issue arose with the insurance regarding a missing turbocharger on the engine ordered and this took extra time I did not have my car. I was forced to use my insurance policy to rent a car that ran out in October because of the delay with servicing my vehicle. At least once every week in November I called to check up on my car because John never called me for an update, and I wanted it to be able to visit my family for Thanksgiving. During the whole month of November, I was relying on friends to give me rides to school, work, and to get groceries. As Thanksgiving got closer to when I would go on break from school I had to call more frequently, and John kept being extremely vague about when my car would be done. I put a final request to have it by before 1pm Friday November 20th to leave right after my exam since I have a long drive. I was not able to get my car until 6pm that day which made me wait to take off until Saturday. After having my insurance pay almost $4,000 and almost waiting 2 whole months for the work to be finished, I was expecting my car to be in working order. Halfway through my 7-hour trip home my engine light came on and I was unable to accelerate past 65mph making the last stretch home terrifying being nowhere near a place to get my car checked. I made it home and had my car looked at with a local mechanic shop and they found out the turbo that was charged extra from the engine was installed incorrectly causing it to leak and cause damage to my car’s catalyst converter which both had to be replaced AGAIN back home. Thankfully, I was able to get my car within a week of service down here with constant communication from the shop compared to working with Classic. I will be talking to my insurance to see what can be done about having to pay for service that was not performed correctly, I will be warning classmates about using your auto-shop, and I will be filing a formal complaint with the DMV due to the improver service to my vehicle.

Took my car in for 3 recalls on my first visit, they messed up the transmission and turn signal, brought it back, kinda working when I left upon returning it again, got a mile down the highway both issues still same the second time happened again, wont go back there ever.

My wife and I stopped by Classic Galveston mostly just to get educated on the differences in Tahoe, Suburban, Yukon and Yukon XLs. Marc met us at the door and offered to help. He spent ample time educating us on the differences, set up driving experiences, clarified what we gained/gave up among different prices, models and options. Because Classic has Ford, Toyota and GM products he even set up a test drive with an Ford Excursion XL to help us narrow down the choices.We were clear at the beginning that we did not plan to buy that day, however he did ask if he could give us a quote on the Suburban LT that we clearly preferred. He did and we agreed we needed to think about it. After sleeping on the decision, we called Marc and indicated we were interested in the Suburban and that we wanted to drive to Austin that afternoon if it could be ready. He got it all arranged, we left with our new Suburban and had a wonderful first trip. All worked as advertised. Car started having trouble on 04/14/2021. Was told to bring it back in the morning of 04/15/2021so they could diagnose and work on it. Car was dropped off at 7:30AM. I got off work at 430PM. Called once around 1:30 just to see what was happening. Was told nothing had been put in the system by the technician that they would call me back. Never heard anything so i walk over to the dealership, through the ford side and toyota looking at all the nice shiny cars. When i arrive the nice lady goes and checks on my vehicle only to return and say well he just pulled it of the diagnostic and its saying the emissions system is bad or something wrong with it. But that the technician test drove it and it seems there’s something else wrong with it besides the 02 sensor. We’d have to replace the 02sensors before we can find out whats wrong. Thats not the good part. She sees I’m visibly upset and i become agitated. She then begins to tell me that my car is not the only car that the technician has, and that he’s been working in 2-3 cars for the past week or two. Like come on that is just poor customer service.

The a/c went out in my Trax, and my salesperson, Kathleen Robins, was instrumental in getting my car serviced quickly. Tony Hyden, the service manager, and his department did an incredible job by repairing my a/c quickly. The condensing unit had to be replaced and it needed freon. When I took it in, it was blowing hot air. When I picked it up, it was blowing the coldest air you could imagine! I am grateful for the excellent service! I have and will always purchase my vehicles from Kathleen Robins. She is the very best!!
I Took my truck for an Oil change and when it was done the gentleman who took care of me told me the tech spilled oil on top of and around the engine and he tried to clean it up.The oil dripped all in my driveway and there was not any there to begin with. About two days later my check engine light came on and we looked at the engine and noticed all my fluids were low. I took it back to the dealership they ran a scan on it reset it and I asked them about the fluids and they told me they don’t fill them up they only let you know. I was not told that any of my fluids were low. I would think that would be a courtesy for them to do.
Purchased a 2017 Silverado LTZ Z71 from a dealership in Duncanville. However I noticed a serious shaking after I had the vehicle several weeks. I took the truck to Tony, the service manager, for a ride along. Although others had blamed the problem on tires and other things, Tony quickly diagnosed the problem as the torque converter. He knew his stuff and arranged a service appointment with Austin, his service rep, the following day. I was impressed with the knowledge and customer service they provided. Thoroughly recommend them.

I knew the exact car I wanted before coming to the dealership and where similar vehicles were in the greater Houston area (I had exact packages, colors, features, etc. in mind). However, I was still open to shopping around if the car had what I was looking for. I worked with Steve Gilbreath (the TrueCar sales rep) and he was very meticulous is showing me cars with all of the features I was wanting. After a day of test driving, I was still set on the original car. With a little haggling, I know I got the absolute best deal on this vehicle. I was in contact with the only 2 other dealers within 200 miles with this EXACT car, and Classic beat their absolute best offers. They also came in lower than Edmunds, TrueCar, and other online car cost suggestion sites. The financing was easy, and the rate I got was better than my personal credit union. I highly suggest purchasing here.
