We had a wonderful experience renovating our kitchen with Chunky Funky Monkey and Art of Design Kitchen. Ricki developed new layout for our kitchen – one we would never have thought of ourselves. He was very helpful and professional throughout the design and planning process and made sure The Chunky Funky Monkey delivered. The cabinets are of great quality and improved the functionality of our kitchen. Our new kitchen is even better than we could have imagined!

They had exactly what I needed and service was great.

Went in there to get help and a man just sat at the desk and never acknowledged me . I clearly needed help. Went outside to meet someone to load wood and there was no one to be found. Worst customer service with a sorry attitude. Will never buy anything from them in the future!

Best building supply company on the island

This was the most wonderful experience of my life, absolutely life moving.

I have been a real estate investor on the East End of Galveston for 8 years now. I have dealt with the incompetence of Home Depot, driven to Houston to find fixtures and build materials to repair these 100 yr old houses. Today a local contractor introduced me to Ideal Lumber. I was amazed at their knowledge and inventory of all the items needed to repair and restore my issues. Go there. They have it.Pre-dried, 1 x 4, tongue and groove flooring! They keep it in stock! Good little place kind staff!

I had no idea this place was so huge! The staff was so friendly & knowledgable and spent time explaining all the options and what would work best for our project. And they even made a donation to our local school garden program! Love this great local shop.

Friendly staff and quick service. Lots of stainless hardware and they know their stuff. I have made several visits and its been a good experience overall.

You can generally find speciality lumber like siding that isnt available at the big box stores. Some of the counter help guys arent the friendliest so make sure you know exactly what you want before you go in.
