I went in knowing I wanted to try an ice cream cake but didn’t know which kind of base or which kind of topping, only knew I wanted the chocolate swiss ice cream.They were super helpful in suggesting I do the cupcakes instead of the mini icecream cakes to save a little bit of money so I could try out the chocolate cake base and the brownie base. Then they let me pick a few different toppings so that I would have a better idea on what I wanted next time.These came out way better than I expected and I will definitely be back to get an actual icecream cake for my birthday knowing exactly which base and which topping to go with my chocolate swiss!

For as expensive as this marble slab is.. you’d think that they would fill up the regular size cup of ice cream to the top and it wouldn’t be so melty within 10 seconds... I didn’t realize that Marble Slab was more expensive than Amy’s ice cream in Austin now, not to mention my cheesecake flavored ice cream tasted very sour, not sure what was going on with that. I’m sure we’ll be back because there aren’t many options for ice cream on the island but a bit disappointing.

The ice cream was great - but wished the girl at the register would have asked about if we had the app. I just downloaded it today and didn’t know that you could either use your phone number or scan the code. Partially my fault, but would have been nice for them to ask about that in order for the customer to earn points, since it is quite pricey!

Wanted to try a new place and was very upset about the price. My husband and I both got regular size bowls and was charged $19??? I checked the website and we put in our order to double check and it should have only costed us $15?? My husband also ordered the cheesecake icecream which tasted very sour and was sick a couple of hours later. Never got a receipt and will never be coming here again.

The customer service from the young lady was very good. But the place itself had dirty tables and random boxes behind the counter. Did not look clean and tidy.

Rude employees, never coming back, too busy on their phones! They seemed annoyed we came in and they had to stop what they were doing and actually get back to work. Mean faces, “what do you want” attitudes, we all came in after an awesome day filled with good people and then we ended our day with the rudest people. Lost 5 customers

FILTHY all the tables are dirty, no customers, no excuse. Front door is dirty. Restroom sign that reads out of order looks really old. $6.00 for a ice cream cone is over priced. Will never return.

We walked in this establishment this afternoon between 2 and 3pm. The sign on the door told us no mask, no service. There was nobody in the store. The clerk wasn’t even visible. We looked around and decided to leave. The front door should have been enough to keep us from entering, it was filthy. Chairs on top of tables to keep people from eating in, the place should have been spotless. It was anything but clean. Never again will we visit this restaurant. Stay away if you care to stay well.

Fun place to take kids! Get all the delicious ice creams, shakes, and more sweets! The kids thought it was so cool that they watched them make there ice cream.

Customer service sucks. Ladies are not even smiling and acts like they dont wanna be at work. We drove from pasadena all the way galveston to try marble slab in that location. It is such a disapointment. Never again.

Ice cream was melting out of my cone as soon as it was handed to me, a bit overpriced for 2 cones with 1 scoop each $12. Pick up some Ben & Jerrys for that price.

The staff who helped us was really nice. The red velvet smore milkshake and the cotton candy milkshake were real good treats for us, but I think MSC is generally a bit pricy.

I walk into Galveston Marble Slab being greeted by 4 RUDE employees that acted less than excited to have a job! My group of 7 paying customers ($42.00) obviously was not appreciated and was an inconvenience to them. We had an issue with one order and they refused to correct the mistake. Their response...” you paid so it’s yours. Buy another!” How much ice cream do they throw away and why would you rather gain 7 customers with a bad experience? Seems that a happy customer would tell many friends of a good experience rather than having the 7 telling everyone they know of how Rudeness prevails at this location!!! This location needs a “Corporate Training Session “ of how to provide “Exceptional Customer Service” and “Manners” friendly greeting and how not to be rude and act inconvenienced! Ranked number 1 overall in “WORST of the WORST” of customer service experiences.....Just one of the many honest complaints...

One of the best places for ice cream! First, the ice cream is different from other commercial outlets. They have several flavors that can be ordered as is, or with a variety of toppings, nuts, and candies that are mixed in on a marble slab (hence the name). You can choose whatever you want, or you can order from a board with several suggestions. I have never ordered anything I didnt like.

I was refused service due to my disability.If you have a service dog you must leave them in the car. This location was not following social distancing; there must have been 20 people inside. The lady behind the register is super rude. She that my service dog wasn’t allowed because of corona but kids can climb on the counter without a mask.

Rip off prices.. $8.35 for 1 reg milk shake. BUT, the lady made 1 for me at closing & it made my stressful day more peaceful. Google says closes 10pm, but its 9PM during holidays maybe.

Fast and friendly service

Pretty sure we just ordered from zombies. Walked in, both employees on phone, got behind the counter and up from the chair, and just stared at us. Didn’t say a word. Just stared at us. I said “sorry were new here” trying to facilitate some dialogue and I don’t know, maybe ask what we want? Tell us about the place? Anything. Literally any spoken word would have been tremendous. I really can’t describe how weird it was. The younger white girl was back on her phone and on her chair behind the counter before the second ice cream could be made. Pretty miserable employees. At least the one smiled?? Lol it was bad.

This place is a cross continamination nightmare... and the employees have nasty attitudes to match. They couldn’t care less if their customers die from a peanut allergy by their hands. When we talked to them about possible accommodations, they sent their message loud and clear: they were not willing accommodate, they did not care we had to leave, and they especially did not care they could kill somebody with their carelessness.Worst ice cream experience ever.The end result? Have to rate this place a 1 star. We took our 2 year old and the teens behind the counter got into an altercation about an ice cream cake and one girl ended up flipping the other off. They also had rap playing, which is fine, but one song kept repeating the f word and the n word. Definitely wont be back.

I love trying new flavors, but I always come back to the mocha and coffee flavored!

Wish I couldn’t even give them 1 star I been coming here for years never had a problem I go there today and the cheese cake ice cream was expired I tried to be as nice as possible to tell them because it tasted like old milk and they flipped off and started being real rude never will waste my money here again

Ice cream was good. However, watch what you are charged. I was charged for an extra ice cream. I tried to convince the guy that he had overcharged but he could not understand it. I asked him to print me a receipt, do that we could check it and he could not print me an itemized receipt. At the price they charge l was disappointed.

Hindis or not sure what religion my husband and I hugged and for them it was too much and told us there are kids there. Rude people that’s why the place is empty. Lady that was rude was a short (Indian) very poor service, take forever too.

There were two employees sitting at tables in the dark. Closed! Via their site says they aren’t suppose to close til 11. Yelp says 10. It was 9:32! SMH!

The ice cream is fine, but who charges $1.09 too get a cup along with the cone, before explaining it to you? Also, the single older gentlemen who was operating wasnt using gloves at all while scooping and operating the register.

I had an awful experience at this location. The girl that took my order was speaking very softly and i could barely hear and understand her. When I asked her to repeat she started talking to me in a rude tone. Also I ordered one of the special cones that was advertised and they didnt know what was in the cone.

Good ice cream but theyve hiked their prices dramatically! My GF and I ordered two chocolate shakes and paid $17!!!! Outrageous! Look elsewhere unless youve got deep pockets.

Does the owner even like ice cream? Certainly, she doesnt taste test it. This ice cream is creamy but has absolutely no taste. A waste of calories. Lots of attitude served up, too.

Ice cream is good but prices are way too high, what pissed me off today was that my daughter wanted cotton candy flavor, ( only flavor she always gets) and the girl wouldn’t serve it because it wasn’t enough for two scoops only for one... 🤦🏻‍♀️, so we got coconut instead. Then, at the time of paying for my daughters icecream and mine it was $17.83 for 2 ice cream cup!!! I get no receipt so I ask for one and she had to go ask the other young guy working there as well but he didn’t know how to print a receipt after register was closed. Why would you not print the receipt to begin with??? Anyways, so while we wait for her to call someone (owner ima guessing ) to get my receipt we just sat there and starting eating our ice cream when all of the sudden we see the young man bringing a whole new container of cotton candy ice cream!! Really? This is the main reason I came here to begin with... they denied serving me that flavor because it wasn’t enough left but you couldn’t bring a new bucket out?? The kids running this store are basically careless for customers.

I usually love coming here,had great service when the owner and his family were around...but apparently they hired all these kids that dont care about their jobs or just was in the mood to talk with thier friends instead...stood and waited while they chitchatted with the friends that were going in to see some tall kid with curly hair and young chic with a light brown hair and a braid in which she was training and she was very rude. Kinda sucks, this is my favorite spot on the island to get a cone. Was. Some people dont understand when they work somewhere. 1 messed up experience can ruin the rest of em. And dont care for the owners or their business.

Closes early on a whim. 9:30pm the girl in the pink shirt Sunday night (04/28/19). Had the door locked and 2 sets of customers were turned away. We will never try to visit another location again.

Came at 10:20pm (11/30/19) on a Saturday when hours say close at 11pm and shop was close so workers don’t follow their set hours come at your own risk!!!!!!!

Nice 1st time experience

Just walked 2 miles from my resort and they said they won’t serve my family at 10:52 because they close soon.

Came here at 8:40 2/7/2017 when they close at 10. Was told that she already turned off the slab and couldnt mix any ice cream. She was basically closing the whole shop an hour and 20 minutes early.
