I was referred to Dave at A Better Auto from a friend who swore by him, and I am SO glad that I went there. My truck was overheating and Dave got me right in. He got the problem diagnosed, made the repairs, and then made extra sure that the truck was operating the way it should be. When I called him up and asked what the bill would be, my jaw hit the floor - I simply could not believe how small the bill was. If I had taken my truck to any other shop, it would have been hundreds more. Dave treated me with patience, kindness, humility, and professionalism. So glad I found this place. Ill never go anywhere else, and Ill be referring all my friends and loved ones to him.

They just replaced an alternator on our car that was still under warranty with zero cost to us. We have had bids at bigger, local shops and A Better Auto was much lower. They get work done quickly and are great about communicating. I can’t overstate how great they are! Our friends spent a lot of money at the dealership service shop on their Honda minivan and the problem still wasn’t fixed. They took it to A Better Auto, who quickly diagnosed the problem (conforming the dealer’s shop was way off) and fixed the problem once and for all for a relatively small fee. Finally, a good, honest deal when it comes to auto repair!

I just had one of the best experiences at an auto repair shop today! Yes, I ACTUALLY SAID THAT! 😁So, I recently bought a 2003 Ford Expedition from my stepdad (with only 76,000 miles on it). After about 2 months, I started noticing what felt to me like the transmission was slipping or something... My stomach was in knots for days, flip flopping over worst case scenarios and a simple easy fix, etc... Over the past week, the situation started to become more pronounced, but (I told myself), at least the check engine light wasnt on.Well... yesterday, the check engine light came on! And, then this morning, my Expedition actually stalled on me at a traffic light. My mind was now no longer flip flopping. My gut was certain that there was a major issue with the Expedition and that it was going to be... EXPENSIVE! 🤯As luck would have it (it turned out), I had to meet up with a customer, to give them a quote on some work that I was going to do for him. I told him what was going on with my rig and he (without hesitation) recommended that I go and see Dave over at A Better Auto Repair. Since this customer is what I would classify as good people, I took his advice and after I left his house, I called Dave to see if he had time to look at my Expedition. Dave told me that he did have time, but that I might have to leave it with him for a couple hours, so that they could diagnose it and whatnot. Since I had my dog with me and the Expedition was loaded up with all my work stuff, I asked if he could just do a quick diagnosis on the error code, for the check engine light. Dave told me that, Sure we can do that.So, I drove straight to his shop... All the time I was driving there, the Expedition was running REALLY rough. I was on the verge of what felt like a panic attack, visualizing all the money that I was going to be out... When I arrived, Dave went and got his scanner and hooked it up to the Expedition and got the error code... It came up as a misfire on cylinder number 5... 🤷‍♂️ Im not the least bit mechanically inclined, so I didnt know what that meant and/or how that would be remedied. Dave told me that they could look at it further and see if they could determine the reason for the error code, etc... I asked him the dreaded question, how much would this cost. Dave quoted me at about $160... That was about a fifth of what I was fearing to hear. Although money is particularly tight right now, $160 is/was manageable. So, I agreed to the quote and then prayed that the misfire was all that was going on.Dave let me (and my pup) wait in their office while he and his coworker went to diagnosing the problem further... Long story shorter, after about half an hour, Dave came back and said that they believed that they had remedied the problem and that after test driving it, said it was running fine... WHAT A RELIEF!!! So, then I asked how much it was going to be, fully expecting it to be beyond the original quote... But... Dave told me that the final bill was about $100!!! I was like ~ 🕺🤸‍♂️🕺🤸‍♂️😁I mean talk about absolute serendipity!!! I feel so completely blessed that my customer happened to point me in the direction of this business and Dave.If you are even remotely considering doing business here - DO IT!!! This is one of the good ones. I will be recommending this business to anyone and everyone!Thank you, Dave!

I have had the Dave work on several cars for myself and for friends I have referred. Originally I was steered toward this shop from a friend who owns a dealership, which says a lot. This shop does not over-diagnose or overcharge for services and has done all of my work in a timely manner. There are shops that have a fancy waiting room, which this does not; BUT I dont hang out here, I only want my vehicle fixed competently and with honesty. I believe they do both at a fair price.

We have a fleet of trucks that Dave takes care of, as well as my personal vehicles. He’s a fantastic mechanic, fairly priced, an most importantly honest. I’ve been using A Better Auto for over 2 years and have never had a negative experience. Dave was a huge help. A motor mount broke off on my car and I called him on a recommendation of a friend. He said it would be no issue and to drop it off when I could.2 days later I was out the door good as new at very reasonable price.
