I really wanted to give zero stars. They couldnt care less about customer needs. Basically told us to go elsewhere! Have been a Verizon customer for over 30 years but no longer!!!
Whenever the occasion comes along that I have to do anything with Verizon this store has always come through their staff is excellent. Thank you to all of them especially Devonna who had went above and beyond in service to complete everything that I needed for my phone
The specialist Jason was fabulous. He made my experience enjoyable. He was very professional and knowledgeable
The store was very clean and with covid restrictions they made my family and I extremely comfortable. Jason is the one who helped us and he was just awesome! Best customer service I’ve seen in a while at a phone carrier store.Thank you Jason for the wonderful experience!
Talk about bad experiences, Employees really didnt know how to handle handle customers Waiting for service,And when somebody finally helped you being a technician at VerizonBasically told you to go somewhere else for a simple ipad fix that they could have done in store....Not going back there again
I been with Verizon for 30 plus years and still have problems changing 😪 phones.
It’s always a pleasure to walk in. They have best customer service. Great deals. Happy to have my new iPhone 12 pro. They are functioning really well with the social distancing.
Going there with my best friend today we ment business
I would give it zero, if I can. So bad customer service, they only waste your time and send to you some other customer service. I have it very very simple request to transfer a line into mine, which is incredible easy. They take like 3 weeks, 8 hours on the phone and 2 hours in the store!!!!!!! And THEY JUST TELL ME THEY CANT DO IT BECUASE IT ISNT A VERISON PHONE!!!! why doesnt someone just tell me that in the first place all of those does not need to happen. Please dont use Verizon for god sake. They are super time-wasting, no good service, and messed up system.
My man Jason got the best hook ups ever. Verizon needs to raise his salary. Def one of the best associate.
Poor service. Sales member was unfamiliar with the models of phones. If I had purchased a phone of exhorbant price, they told me they would not transfer my service or data. The one good thing the rel did was recommended that I try Best Buy nearby. Who for same price as Verizon gave me full service.
Was sent to this store after calling Verizon. Was told to go to this store to hand in old phone for an upgrade. When I went in, was told they could not help. Would not even try once they found out I already did the upgrade over the phone and just needed to hand in device. Told them the Verizon phone rep said they would put notes on my account. Manager just kept repeating he could not help me in the store.
Little bit of a wait, but great service made up for it
Came in because my phone was acting up . Jason took care of all the issues in a clear, concise manner. He explained everything carefully and cleaned my phone, as well. He is a real asset to Verizon and I appreciate his help. Thanks!
Went it to possibly port over to Verizon. All employees were following Co-Vid protocols. Ricardo, the associate who helped me. I definitely give him 5 stars. He answered all my questions that I had and was thorough with explaining how the port over process.
I’ve been to this store recently three times in the past two weeks to discuss switching our family from AT&T to Verizon wireless. We are former Verizon Wireless customers for many years and switched to AT&T to save money, now I realize that was a big mistake. I spoke to four different people the last few times I was here and each time I spoke to someone the stipulations changed, specifically the discounts, the promos, the pricing, what I could get money for as far as trade in value, benefits of being over 50, discount benefits of working for a healthcare company etc. The story kept changing over and over again and I was getting very frustrated. The fourth time I went in which was yesterday, one of the sales people was talking to a couple and told me he’ll be with me in a few minutes. I was expecting them to be working a deal but he was talking non-business to them for quite a while while I was standing around with four phones in my hand ready to trade them in and switch over to Verizon. I stuck around for a few minutes just to see how soon this guy was going to tell them I have to take care of another customer, but he never did and he kept talking nonsense with them. I finally smiled shook my head and walked out of the store, I am never returning there again. I drove not too far down to a different Verizon store and had completely different service, very professional explaining everything going into details working discounts with me. I am working with this store and I’ll transfer my four phone to Verizon wireless. Everyone should be trained the same and if they don’t follow certain protocol then reconsideration should be made as far as their employment continuing with Verizon.
I love going there the Tech support are very nice & very helpful & explain everything about the phone have patience with the customers
The staff very nice and I have a good time.
Verizon on Old Country Road has been open during the Covid-19 pandemic. Thank you for allowing customers inside your essential business and practicing social distancing
Long line its getting cold they have to do better
Had an appointment scheduled for 1pm, it is now 1:46 and I have still not been helped...
Friendly and very helpful.
It’s unfortunate because this is a corporate store. I don’t go to 3rd party authorized stores because I want to avoid problems and issues. But this wasn’t the case. I’ve been excited to switch to Verizon and the service is indeed awesome. But 2 times I went here and had problems. Once in December and just 3 days ago in March. Their errors resulted in someone believing their loved one went missing due to someone not porting the number correctly, and calling the police. The second was delays over Christmas in switching handsets. Not to mention rebate discounts were not honored. I also had my plan changed without my approval and now have to wait a month before I can change it after a full cycle. Friendly people there, but not worth it if you cannot do a simple job. Sadly do not recommend
DISHONEST SALESPEOPLE AND MANAGER. The worst experience ever shopping at any Verizon store. And judging by the past reviews, I dont think this Verizon store could care any less. Mike sold us an iPhone XR and told me that I would get a $110 trade in for my iPhone 7. After he wrote up the paperwork and took my credit card, he did not deduct $110 from my order, he told me that I could only purchase accessories with the $110 rebate. WHEN I GOT HOME, I CALLED VERIZON CORPORATE THEY TOLD ME YES, YOU CAN APPLY THE TRADE IN VALUE TOWARDS A NEW IPHONE XR. I DID NOT HAVE TO BUY ACCESSORIES ONLY. I called that store manager, Darin, and the disaster only worsened. Darin was rude and condescending. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS STORE. JUST LOOK AT THE OTHER REVIEWS AND BELIEVE THEM. THEY ARE ALL TRUE. ALSO CHEK OUT THE YELP REVIEWS. And, the response to this review from management is a typical insincere standard reply, that will not result in any reprimand or changes in the dishonest tactics at the Verizon store.
Not happy....the Court Street location could teach them a thing or two about doing their job....#isedwhatised
I went to this store for help with a new phone. When you walk in, no one even acknowledges you. When someone finally asked if they could help me, I explained what I needed and they said they no longer do that at the store and instead gave me a printout with instructions. I also needed help with working my new phone but I didnt even bother to ask them. I left and called the Verizon customer service number and they called the store in Jericho and told me that Manny said that he, or anyone else at the store would be happy to help. And when I went to Jericho, they did exactly that. They were very kind and helpful. I recommend that you go to the Verizon store in Jericho if you are looking to buy a new phone or if you need any help.
Had a bad experience at Verizon, in Westbury, but No manager followed up with me, as promised.
I had such a bad experience switching over from Att&t to Verizon that I was discouraged to even visit a store. The COVID 19 situation made my experience even worse. However, I must say I am so glad I walked into the Verizon Garden City (Westbury plaza) store. Dave helped right away and was so diligent with handling my line. He helped me get a new phone and straighten my situation all under 45 minutes. Dave is the true example of great customer service. He was so patient, professional, friendly and understanding. He made my experience so memorable that I plan on visiting this store again if I ever need assistance. THANK YOU DAVE !!! You were amazing!
Walked in needing a new phone, Manhasset closed due to covid, sales girl wasnt the most inviting personality and gave me little or no help in choosing a new Android phone.
This Verizon store is a scam they always lie they make you sign without even looking at what you’re signing, they make you believe that you were getting what they told you, always go through the Verizon 800 number don’t ever come to the stores to do anything don’t buy anything you always get screwed over! this is my third time getting screwed over at this location alone I always have to stay for hours on the phone to fix it I’m so upset!
Noticed extra care when new customers come in. The atmosphere in this workplace is all about getting new customers. No professionalism to existing customers who needs help with their account. Left me hanging with two phone lines not working. Told me the lines are good once a reboot is done, when they were clearly not.
Dope experience upgrading business phone... Staff knows there stuff
This place has friendly staff. My only gripe is that we were told they can no longer give discounts on phones which sounds like a load of bull. We have been loyal Verizon customers for years, they should be able to justify giving a discount for that alone. This store is pretty big compared to some independently owned retailers so it makes for a nicer atmosphere.
Unfortunately as a current customer the workers there dont seem overly eager to help you. They didnt take the time to even look at my account to see if they can help and was just brushed off. For the amount they charge for service you would think they try a little harder but it seems they have a superiority complex
Great customer service..
Ernesto was mean.
5 stars for Verizon Specialist, Ayeesha. Her customer service is unequaled. Our shopping experience at Verizon was the best of all time because of her.
Good rep in store to help me save over $80 on my Bills and getting a business install with the account I have.
Had the worst customer service experience in this store tonight. Walked was waiting 15 minutes while 1 young lady played on her phone and 2 other gentlemen were talking to each other. Nobody even addressed my presence in the store. As soon as a well dressed caucasian gentlemen walked in the 1 rep walked right passed me straight to him and asked if he needed help. Im a truck driver and Ive been to Verizon stores in several states and this is by far the worst one Ive been in as far as customer service. Finally one young lady came out and asked if I needed help. She was very helpful. I was upset or I would have gotten her name. She was very helpful and apologetic for the lack of professionalism from the other gentlemen. Wish I would have gotten his name as well.
I was able to upgrade my iphone without issue, exchanging my old phone, and the representative found me a great promotion on accessories (basically they ended up free). The representative was very competent and went through all the math for different options (it had changed from last time I calculated it). Based on that, I would have given the store 5 stars. However, I later discovered that somehow on another line, a $6/month Verizon Cloud feature was added. I am hoping it was an honest mistake, but seems fishy.
I switched to Verizon from a different carrier. I was really pleased with the customer service, the rep spent a good deal of time with me, changing my number over, helping move apps, photos, messages, etc from my old phone to the new one.
I wouldn’t give them any stars if it was an option. Horrible service and very misleading. Once I received my first bill I noticed all these hidden charges that we were never informed about in the store. I called Verizon customer service and the lady admitted that the stores do not disclose all fees and stated they are sales people first looking for higher commissions. She advised that anyone looking to sign up or make changes to their plan to call the customer service line first so you get a full breakdown of everything. She also filed a complaint to corporate on this store. Unfortunately, I learned my lesson too late as my monthly charges will be around $100 more than what was disclosed. On top of this, my wife went into the same store on a separate occasion to get her screen protector replaced. They wanted to charge her $75 for one screen protector. They’re thieves!
TOTALLY DISHONEST. I went into the store to inquire about a technical issue with my iPhone. It was not taking a charge from ANY charging device, however ALL of our other Apple products/devices were indeed charging with the SAME charging devices. So, I was greeted by Dave and associate there. He kept insisting that the problem was indeed with my charging devices, not with my phone. I kept asking why then would everything else we have charge with the exception of my phone. He still insisted, basically making me think I was an idiot. Then after careful examination of my phone, he stated he thought there was water damage, based on his observation. I instantly told him there was no way I had any contact with water, and he quickly interrupted me saying he needed to continue looking at it. A second associate agreed with me and said there was indeed no water damage. So, after inquiring about my options, he said I would be eligible for an upgrade, but since I had the Edge plan currently (DO AVOID THIS IF YOU CAN), I would NOT be able to do anything else but continue the Edge plan with my next device. I asked him if there were any other options, and he insisted NO. He said all existing customers have no options, and this was final. I would not only need to continue paying the monthly installments, but I would have to give the phone back in order to upgrade! I said to him this was like leasing a car...pay and then give it back, but he kept disagreeing...I was like, um what? After calling the main customer service number today, I was told I indeed DID have other options, AND IF I wanted to pay the balance of my edge payments, I COULD KEEP MY PHONE! SO Moral of the story, dont believe everything you are told. This place was so dishonest. I am mad.
I would give 0 stars if I could. I went to preorder an iPhone 11 last week and asked if I could come in and have Verizon transfer my data to my new iPhone 11. They said no and just do it myself at home with iCloud. When the iPhone came out last Friday I popped into a Victra Verizon store and they sold me a iPhone 11 and was extremely happy to transfer my data for me with no problem. Shame on you Version on Old Country Road in Garden City. Your so rude. I love Verizon, however I’ll never walk in your store again. Sad
My father went into the store to transfer pictures from one basic phone to another and Fara told him that the location doesnt do picture transfers, after I had called in advance to verify that they can at least try.Not 15 minutes later I went into the same location and a young man Kingsley was extremely helpful and was able to transfer the photos.Meanwhile Fara stayed in the corner doing nothing the whole time, seems as if she just didnt want the burden of dealing with a customer that wouldnt produce a commission.Fara gets zero stars, Kingsley gets 5.
Needed technical support for new phone... staff was top notch.
Excellent customer service and the best phone and services.
Sometimes there is a long wait, and sometimes they mess things up, but usually good service.
The sales rep was very nice in greeting you but DISHONEST. I got my Jetpack last month and I clearly explained to the representative I’d pay it in full so I just have to do the monthly payment for my plan. I was even amazed in the store when he told me I just need to pay 99 for the unit instead of 199! And he didn’t tell me the reason why. I told him several times that I don’t want a contract and he assured me that I’ll only pay the monthly bill no contracts. Only to know now when I called customer service on the phone and asked about my account I was told I have a 2 year contract. I don’t understand why would you do this to a customer!!!!
The staff is willing to help you as soon as you walk in the door. My issue was resolved in a timely manner and all my questions were answered.
I went to this store on July 28th to get a new phone, as my previous phones contract expired. I worked with Luis and explained to him my needs on a new contract going forward. He informed me about the first responder discount, which I provided the necessary information. He then showed me three proposals. Each one was worse than the other, I later found out. The first proposal included a monthly charge for my old phone and my new phone. I pointed it out to him and he said to cross it off the proposal. Had I not noticed that, he would have said nothing. The second proposal would have cost me more than my current plan. The third proposal, Luis said, was less than my current plans charges. He included another phone line and Hum. I told Luis I did not want Hum, nor needed another phone line. Luis said I had to take those products in order to receive the first responder discount. I agreed to the plan reluctantly. Upon arriving at home, I discovered my new phone did not connect to my home wi-fi. I called my cable provider who re- booted the modem. My other devices connected to the wi-fi, but still not my new phone. I then called Verizon’s customer service dept. She explained to me that Motorola has a problem connecting to my cable providers modem and did not know when the problem would be resolved. She recommended another phone. I asked her about my new plan and if the rate given to me included taxes. She said no, and told me what my monthly rate would be. It would now be higher than my previous plan. She also informed me that I did not have to take the additional phone line or the Hum to receive the first responder discount. She worked up a new plan for me that was $30 less than Luis’ plan. I had to disconnect the extra phone line and return the Hum. I was floored when I found out I was conned into buying additional products I really didn’t have to buy. So, I visited the Garden City store again on August 5. I explained to the salesman Jason, that I wanted to return the Hum. He said there was a $50 re- stocking fee. I asked why and he said because they cannot resell the Hum. I called customer service and she told me the store has the power to waive the $50 fee. I put her on the phone with Jason who continually said to her “ I can’t do it. I can’t do it”. He handed the phone back to me and the CR representative asked to speak to a manager. I approached the manger, Darren, and before I handed him the phone, he said, “ I’m not waiving it.” I informed him the CR rep said yes you can. He took the phone and stood firm, stating he is following company policies. When the conversation was finished, I asked him why he did not waive the fee. He said, “ because I can’t.” (I phoned CR after the incident and the rep said the store ABSOLUTELY can waive it).Corporate said he could waive it, but he refused to do so. I then explained how Luis conned me into buying products I didn’t want, just to get a first responder discount. His answer was, “ I have no problem with that.” What a disgrace. I couldn’t believe my ears. This manager has no problem with his salesman lying and conning his customers. Lord knows how many he conned before me. I phoned CR again to explain what happened and the CR rep agreed that is no way to speak or to treat a customer. I don’t know if they’ll do anything about this, but I had to tell Verizon what a disgrace Darren and Luis are. I also told Darren I would never return to that store again. I’m not the only one who has had a problem at that store, so buyer beware. Honestly, I am appalled a store like Verizon is run by a bunch of con artists. I’m glad I caught this scam right away, otherwise it would have been too late to correct it. The only reason I gave it one star is I couldn’t write this with zero stars.
Horrible customer service. Received an email that my order is ready for pick up of course I waste my time to go pick it until and the order wasn’t ready. I asked them to cancel the order. Of course I get the usual “ we can’t cancel the order you have to do it online”. If only people would do their jobs everything would be so much easier!
Normal wait. iPhone 7+ was dropping calls, they swapped out SIM card. See if that works. Imran at the store was helpful.
I just left this store about a half hour ago, I spoke to my mother the entire ride home about how great the service was. We worked with an man named Edward and he was actually phenomenal. I have never left a verizon store so happy before, he brought out my new phone and a variety of cases to choose from, screen protectors and a selfie stick and all. I did not take all of it but he brought me my options and explained each of them for me perfectly. I had an amazing experience at this store, its officially my favorite location.
Set me up completely.Very patient, answeredAll my questions. The Best!
I wasnt completely satisfied. I explained to The representative that I wasnt sure about the technology and language but l felt like her energy and level of interest was on the low side.
A good and convenience store, good location, busy and staffs not too friendly.
Very helpful.
My 2 month old Pixel phone froze up. Verizon wanted it paid off (although inoperable) in order to get an immediate replacement (and start paying for that too). Salesman and manager were inflexible.
If Ayeesha is representative of all the employees then it is definitely worth your time and travel to go to this store! She is so down to earth, amicable, and helpful. Going above and beyond and totally out of her way to help out as she is able. She takes responsibility and doesnt pass off your concerns unlike many other people these days. Shes exemplary and totally turned a stressful day into an awesome day! The store is quite spacious and clean as well. Ideal for the special and personal attention you would want. Again, thank you so much Ayeesha!!!!!!!!
Apparently, the service has slid downhill at this location. Last year I had a Samsung watch and returned it due to short battery life. I thought I would check them out to see if there were improvements. The salesman said They are at the front of the store - Ill be right there. Then I watched him go on to help someone else. I eventually left the store. This is a no frills store without available products (we can go online now or to the nearest Macys) and the service was lacking.
Horrible wait time, EXTREMELY slow service. Asked for a phone they have in stock, it took them 30 mins to bring it out. Askef to check out a phone case, took another 15 mins to check out our. Very inefficient. Extremely expensive service too so should have had a better experience. I will probably try out another location next time though I have no hopes of service being better.
The store itself was recently renovated. The staffs attitude, however, should be as well. Verizon is a great company, but the staff at this location is unprofessional. Go elsewhere.
German was great, helped me to transfers and set up my phone as well as m new plan.
I give Verizon 5 stars. Fast and friendly very knowledgeable.
I went there today to replace my broken phone. Jonathon and Fred were so helpful in helping pick out the right new phone that would work for me. As well as helping me pick out the right tablets for my company.
Johnny was great. His assistance is very much appreciated.
Vincent was great in dealing with me ( a techno idiot )... And a good sense of humor!
Sometimes I get great customer service sometimes I get terrible customer service. Its hit or miss. They should get rid of the staff members who seem so unhappy to be working.
The sales people were very nice but had to call to resolve a big problem
It was ok
Great customer service new phone was up and running in 10 minutes
This place is BEYOND horrible! And they’re very sketchy! I waited overnight for the iPhone X. The night before when they closed a worker told me they have about 6-8 256GB iPhone x’s and since I’m first in line I will definitely get one! So I was extremely excited. The morning came and the store opened, I was first in line. There was probably a good 15-20 people behind me. I go to a worker, I forgot his name, but I’ll get to that. I told him 256GB black, he started tot all about cases and screen protectors and chargers for cars. I told him I purchased everything on amazon and eBay for less then 15$, that I wasn’t trying to spend 20$ for a single screen protector. I understand they make commission also with these products. So he took his time to go and get the phone I asked for. He came back and said we only have 256GB White, I asked him how? He said others must’ve grabbed it and I told him that’s why I wanted you to get it right away. I told him it’s fine and that will do just fine. I told him he has to cancel a pre order I had, my cousin who works in corporate In Verizon told me it should take 5 minutes tops even if the system is congested. I waited 30 minutes... the guy was in the back the whole entire time while I stood there. The guy came back and said “I’m so sorry to make you wait, I have a black 256GB for you, I said “wow thanks, I appreciate it!” Then the manager I believe his name is John, came over and said he’s going to give my plan unlimited data for only 5$ more a month, I said “thanks so much I appreciate it.” So now the worker, he goes and scans the phone and he said “what the hell, one second.” again, he goes in the back and I wait for 20ish minutes... he comes back with the manager and says “I’m sorry, we only have a 64GB IPhone X black” I said “are you serious? I waited online and I was first to get the 256GB” the manager says “it’s not scanning the phone won’t be able to activate” I was extremely upset, I didn’t cause a scene, I didn’t yell. I then said “my cousin works in corporate in Verizon, can I give him a call and he can try to activate the phone?” The worker then says “ it’s not within our servers it’s with apples” they said when the next batch of iPhones come in, your name is first on the list to receive one! I asked how long and the guy said 3-4 days.. it’s now day 6 almost 7, and nobody has called me. The guy went in the back to get a bag and I see 2 people who didn’t even wait on line get a 256GB iPhone X!! they were buying a lot of cases, screen protectors though! I said to the guy when he came back, I thought you had no more X’s why did those 2 people get a 256GB one? The guy was quiet.. Also! The manager said to me “we’re giving you a virtual number, since it’s a business account, you don’t have to use it if you don’t want too, its there.” I said “ yeah I probably won’t ever use that” he said “ it’s there if you need it”. I never ever agreed to this as my account was going to be charged 15-25$ more a month for a feature I didn’t even approve of! I thought it was free, thankfully my cousin who works in corporate told me to remove it. My cousin also told me that it’s impossible for a new phone to not be able to activate, if anything they could’ve called the number with the phone serial number.. but nope, why would they? I wasn’t buying any accessories!! So if you go here to camp out for an iPhone beware! They’re money hungry and rather give the phone to somebody who is buying accessories so there paycheck raises.
Great experience the sslesman Reanoke was extremely knowledgeable!
Great service no problems
Salespeople nasty..lied and didnt want to help
Customer Service team was outstanding!
Phones are just tooo dam expensive... service was good tho
Verizon is just a pain in general. Too expensive.
They have nice customer service
The manager was rude and would not accept my return. Would only swap my item. His BAD attitude towards his employee was disgusting. Went to the Hicksville store-had no problems.
The workers were very knowledgeable and helpful.
Unprofessional, poor customer service which includes the manager. I’ll stick with T-Mobile thanks
It is a Verizon store They want to sell you phones what else could I say about it
I received very good service at this store. Best service Ive had at a Verizon store in NY. Ive had very bad experiences at other locations.
Helpful customer service.
Its ok. But waiting time to get served is crazy!
Had a problem with the phone and took care of it in 5 minutes!
DID NOT ADEQUATELY RESPOND TO EMAIL COMPLAINT
Horrible experience from Dave.About 30 minutes with him to upgrade me for him to tell me he doesnt even have the phone in store. He basically said it with a smile and said I could do everything online. Waste of my time.
Good service.
Great customer service
Very unprofessional and dishonest staff, I wouldn’t advise anyone to go to this location, if you have to go there, never leave your device unattended with any of the staff, keep an eye of what they are doing with your phone...
Great honest help
Great fast service
Avoid. Horrible service. Waited 45 min with tons of workers who just didnt want to help. The one lady i did speak to was outright rude. Not returning, and considering switching providers based on this one location.
Good service...
No help at all
Rather large store, lots of reps to help people out.
Staff can answer simple questions
