This place is a HIDDEN GEM. I ordered BLT pizza, it was phenomenal. Everything is homemade. Try it with ranch and Italian dressing on the side. Sat at the bar ordered two mule drinks, that were excellent! Bartender/server Amanda very friendly and knowledgeable. Tony the owner spent time getting to know me and telling me the story behind the remodel of the business. I felt like I was at a pub downtown royal oak or downtown detroit. Awesome first experience. I will be back very soon. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Amazing place with delicious food. Tomato bisque is a gastronomical delight and chicken wings in buffalo sauce are too good to miss out on. The staff were very warm and polite as well.

The food is generally really good, staff is courteous, and service is good. I ordered the pretzel sticks with beer cheese for $10 and I am extremely disappointed with this item. Theres only 3 pretzel sticks in the order that really arent good, but the worst part is the beer cheese. The cheese tastes like some GFS canned cheese, its absolutely horrible. I dont do reviews, but this item is a complete rip off and tastes absolutely horrible. Im just surprised that with some many other good menu items that they would charge that much and actually serve this horrible item. I hate to say this, but Applebees pretzel sticks and beer cheese cost less and tastes way better than what I just received for $10; so disappointed.

A broad menu of really quality food. Their stuff is a big step up from your typical Coney but a lot of the same dishes. Example - there award winning chili not only has ground beef but pieces of steak. My 7 yr old son who has recently discovered smoked salmon got the smoked salmon Benedict and loved it.

This was my first and last visit here. I ordered chicken tenders and the meat lovers pizza. The online app told me what time my food would be ready at so I arrived at said time and the food was nearly cold. Clearly, it had been done for quite awhile before the time I was given.Got home and ate my nearly cold meal and, credit where its due, the food was very good. However, upon waking up the next day I had the WORST case of food poisoning Ive ever had. I ate nothing else the previous day so it had to be from their food. I dont know if it was the chicken, the ranch, or the pizza, but something there is very bad and I wont be taking that chance again.

Nice place to go for a quick bite..had the crispy chicken pita..and fries..it was very good..the pricing is reasonable..the owner walked around to ask how each customer was doing..I will go back..

If you somehow stumble across this place on Google, do your self a favor and make the trip. They have completely changed their inside from what I remembered growing up here in garden city. Their food is unbelievable, and the atmosphere is fantastic!

Good food good price good service

Nice decor, service was decent enough.....but the food was a big disappointment. I had the Cod....and instead of being light and flakey, it was soggy and lukewarm. The rice was fine, the green beans seemed overcooked, yet like the fish, they were only lukewarm, almost as if they had been sitting and just re-warmed. The restaurant wasnt busy, so I was kinda perplexed at the meal being so stale tasting.

Still our favorite restaurant around! Cant have a bad meal there

The food was amazing! Amazing atmosphere, staff wearing masks, 6 feet apart, amazing customer service. Would recommend this place! The food was really cheap especially the Buffalo wings. If I hadn’t have eaten the food I would have posted a picture, but just know the chicken had a lot of flavor and tasted fresh. Will be coming here again.

The only reason I give it 3 starts is for the hard work theyve put into the building. We were the only two in the restaurant and the waitress didnt even come by to take our order after 15 minutes of her saying shell be right back. We left and she apologized as we walked out. Give them a chance... we may try again. Disappointed.

Last time I was there was over 15yrs ago and it has since changed. They completely redid the inside and it looks amazing. The food for brunch was delicious. Will def be going back. Start with a bloody Mary and then Florentino Betty which is two poached eggs over homestyle biscuits with spinach and mushrooms with holindaze sauce and you get a side of their potatoes. They were pretty busy when I came in Sunday morning but the staff was very friendly and attentive. I had the Swiss and mushroom omelette and it was delicious. I highly recommend stopping in! It’s a really cute local diner!

Garden City Cafe is a very good restaurant, their service is great. They have many options for breakfast, lunch and dinner and serve them anytime. The price of the food is reasonable.I did enjoy the appetizer called Saginaki (opa) which is flaming cheese, the Michigan wrap and the tuna wrap.

Went there for the first time today and we will be bringing our friends next time, great place, the staff was very nice and the food was great. Cant wait to tell more people about them

Came here after the remodel and was happy but wasnt great. Now, 8 or so months later, I have been here 4 times in the past 2 months. Ribs and pork chops were on point. Ill be back to try thier breakfast and Im sure I wont be disappointed.

First time back after the grand re-opening and I couldnt be more satisfied! The BBQ Bacon Burger was easily one of the best burgers Ive had in a long time! Fresh, juicy, seasoned and cooked to perfection! Not to mention the homemade fried pickles were awesome too! Highly recommend!

I originally ordered nachos but a few moments later I was told they are out of tortilla chips. So I chose a bbq chicken flatbread. It was ok. Waitress was friendly and the new look is very nice so they still get 4 stars.

Every time I have been here I have a great experience. Great breakfast, great waitresses, great atmosphere! My husband and I moved to Dearborn Heights area a few years ago, and after this long we finally found our breakfast spot! We had been eating here for almost a 6 months regularly about once a week or so. Then we had our daughter so going out to eat with a newborn was not in the cards for us, now the pandemic. We cant wait to come in again soon!

First time trying thier pizza it wa fantantastic!! It was one of the best pizzas i had in a long time. Next time i order pizza i will order it from them. Perfect amount of items and cheese and pepperoni and great tasting. Waitress was fantastic. Especially scince i brought my 3yr old grandson as you know tey are messy eaters. Hopefully the tip eased her pain a bit.

Amazing rebuild! Would recommend everyone to visit this place. With the new additions and revamped menu, this place is a hit! The manager Matt is very respectful and you can tell he cares! The bartender Andrea is on top of it and very respectful as well. Would recommend everyone to come join the new hype of GC Cafe.

From the greeter to the server and the bartender - EVERYONE was super friendly, professional and helpful. We had a great experience. The food was way better than expected. We were just going to grab a burger but their menu has a lot of unique items. So, we ventured out. We got chili in a bread bowl - amazing. Corned beef egg rolls - amazing. The crazy gouda grilled cheese and the chicken strip pita - both amazing. Cool atmosphere - so there is pop music at the bar, the dining room is dimly lit and there are TVs all around. All bases covered. I highly recommend Garden City Cafe. We will be back for sure.

Its amazing what changes have been made. It was very drab when I first started eating here over ten years ago. Today, the decor has been updated to reflect a more trendy dining experience. The menu is not much different from what they have had in the past. The service has improved. We ordered a couple of burgers and a grilled cheese. Everything was well made and our requests were quickly handled. We will be back in the near future .

Came in to eat a couple weeks ago. The decor was really nice!! I haven’t been here before the remodel, so I wouldn’t know how to compare it to the old place or the menu. I heard a lot of great things about the restaurant though. Everything is made from scratch. The food was great!!! I had the turkey burger, and I honestly think it’s the best burger in the world. I usually only order beef burgers, but I’m watching my weight, so ordered something I wanted to eat, just a little better. I don’t know if it’s the turkey burger or their secret sauce. But I might just be ordering turkey burgers from now on. My husband had the ribeye sandwich, he says it was okay, good. My younger son had the regular beef burger, and it was a lot of food for him. It was a 1/2 lb. burger, so it a fatty burger. My other son had a small pizza, which was a pretty big pizza for him. it was about a 12 or 14 in. pizza. He was happy, because he still had enough pizza for days at home. All in all, it was delicious and the menu was well priced, and a lot of value for the money. I don’t know why there were the complaints with the menu prices, from some of the reviews. I guess you can’t make everyone happy.

This restaurant is my favored. I eat in many restaurants but to this one I go the most. The crew is very friendly and the cuisine they serve is so delicious. I never miss an opportunity to have a decent meal in this restaurant. I recommend this place with pleasure.

I call this unique restaurant often because I love the good mood that is outline this place. The staff is extremely loyal and professional. The service is deeply quick. Needless to say, the food you eat is perfect. I have been there more than once and I was always satisfied. The pay is reasobable. I recommend this restaurant to all my friends.

Been a few times and its either HIT or miss. My last visit was a HUGE miss.. Our waitress barely came to the table, my son got his food after a 10 minute wait (just fine) as we proceeded to wait another 20+ for our food with no apology, or its coming right up. Once food did arrive it wasnt prepared correct and our waitress did not come around until the very end of our meal. Highly disappointed.My Plus visits included good food with moderate service.The renovations are lovely though!

Food was excellent and the dining rooms are spacious and quiet.

The servers and owners son was bartending and serving pizza without masks during covid. Food and service took a big dip in quality tonight. Unfortunately I will not be back. It is a shame that another neighborhood cafe will probably not make it much longer.
