Wow this place was a life saver so i had a bike ride tonight with my friends and my bike had a wobble in the back tire and something was making a loud noise when i turned the wheel so i called these guys and i told them and they said yeah bring it over! So i came here and its super nice inside all organized and the worker there was friendly and looked at it right away and fixed it! So that helped me so much today now i can have fun riding today!!!!! 💪🚲 Thanks guys!

We purchased a Schwinn bike for our daughters birthday and upon building it, realized that the threading on the pedal was non-existent. This put us in a bad situation at 11 p.m. the night before her party. We found Papa Wheelies online and took the bike over first thing Saturday morning, the team there was able to fix the pedal issue and literally save the day for us. We had to buy parts but were not charged for the speedy, excellent service to attach the pedals. Thank you, Papa Wheelies team for literally saving the day for us!

Fixed a flat for a fat tire bike quick! Good pricing, great customer service.

I was not impressed with this bike shop. I went to get tires and the price was $5 higher than what the website said. I needed a front brake assembly as well. The website showed that the part I needed was in stock. When I got to the shop, (1 mile from my apt) they tried to sell me a set with both front and back brakes, which cost twice as much as I was prepared to spend. I was disappointed. They also advertize discounts to certain citizens such as veterans like myself, when I mentioned it the lady responded, its up to our discretion. I thought that was bull. You either offer discounts or you dont. I doubt that I would go back. Only in an emergency.

Through all this stay at home stuff, i decided to start bike riding. My hybrid bike is kinda old so I decided to get the brakes checked up. Came in and immediately felt welcomed. I was told that any repairs would take a week because of the influx of bikes they got. I told her i just wanted to make sure my brakes are ok and she said she would have a tech look at it. The tech came out gave it a quick look and said the brake pads had to be changed and adjusted, other than that, everything seemed good. Told me he could do it quick. 15 minutes in and out and at a great price. What more could i have asked for. Great service, great price. Definitely coming back

I bought a Townie Electra (electric) bicycle here and I love it! However, Byron (Owner) delivered it to my house (100.00 delivery charge) and discovered that he didn’t have the correct key to unlock the lock that they had installed on it. He stated he would return in one (yes, one) week with a working key and he would make adjustments to the bike. This was four weeks ago and I’ve made numerous calls to the shop and have even spoken to Byron with the assurance that the key/ lock had been ordered, etc, etc, etc. No call backs from him, nothing! Very frustrating!Still no working key so I still can’t lock this very expensive bike.

Was coming to the area to visit my daughter who recently relocated to SoCal and wanted to purchase a beach cruiser so i could ride each time I visited. Called Papa Wheelies prior to arrival, told them what i wanted and showed up a week later and it was ready to go! Byron made a few handle bar and seat adjustments and the bike is a perfect fit! Bryon even delivered the bike 20 minutes after i left the store.Thanks Byron and staff for excellence customer service! You have my highest recommendation without reservation.

Went for a simple wheel replacement. Ended up with a $100 charge for everything but the wheel. Then had to pay more and wait another week for the wheel to be fixed. Not satisfied.

Had to wait to get in the store for about 10 minutes, Was not use to waiting before, things have changed no thanks to covid 19. On the brighter note staff is very helpful and very nice as usual.

Great service, great prices! Only $15 to change the inner tube in my bike tire, and it only took about 10 mins. They were nice enough to take care of it right away, knowing that we were planning to go for a bike ride right after. They gave good recommendations for our trail ride. Really nice guys... Was made to feel like we were not welcome there. We drove from Long Beach to support this small business based on good reviews in lieu of the bigger chain bike shop in our own city. We did this solely to try to help a smaller business out in the midst of all this COVID19 uncertainty. When we got there, there was a line to get into the store, so my 15 year old and I patiently waited for 20 mins to get in the store fully masked, and ready to shop for 2 new bikes, 1 for my husband for his birthday, one for my daughter to replace her smaller one she’s outgrown. Our budget was $900-1000. When we got to the front of the line, the lady asked what we were there for, we said to hopefully purchase two new bikes. She looked at me and said, “I don’t have anything you would be interested in and we don’t know when we’ll be getting new bikes.” Yikes! I hadn’t even told her specifically what kind of bike(s) I was in the market for. So I asked “well can I come in and look around at least” (and decide that for myself for crying out loud!) Then she answered, “I guess”. We walked in but then immediately walked out. What was the point. I wasn’t going to give them my business at that point anyway. I felt so unwelcome there. So we left - and went to Jax. And bought two brand spanking new Electra cruisers and accessories. They were happy to have our repeat business. They value customers there. Too bad for Papa Wheelies.👎🏼

Avoid this place like the plague! Took my month old bike in for a few minor tune-up/ adjustment and a inner tube. Left thinking everything was good. On my ride home, my chain snapped, and now my rear cassette is broken. So I basically paid $60 for my bike to be returned in worse shape than when I brought it in. As a customer if Im better off buying the tools and fixing the bike myself, why do I need waste my time and or money in your shop?

Brought my bike for a flat tire, it was fixed very quickly which I thought was really great until I took it for a ride suddenly my wheel comes off because it wasnt replaced properly. Great Experience!My 4 year old son just started riding his bike without training wheels today. Needless to say, hes really excited and had been riding his bike hard. The chain came loose and wouldnt stay on. So I called these guys and the lady was really nice and pleasant over the phone.She gave opinion that it was a really easy fix and would cost next to nothing. It was about 4pm and I wanted to know if I could still come in before they close at 5pm to get the bike fixed for my son whom was thrilled to ride without training wheels. I also knew that it would be difficult to get the bike fixed for my son during the week, and chances were he would badger me for his bike after school everyday.I came in, they took a look at bike and asked me to hang around. While waiting, I drove about 10 mins up the street and back. By time I came back, bike was done and sitting waiting for me.The very nice gentleman explained to me what he did to fix, he lubed it, adjusted the tire pressure, and told me no charge. Although the lady had told me on the phone it would cost $0 - $5, I had still at least expected to pay at least $5.Needless to say, great first experience! Although there are at least 2 or 3 bike shops between my house and this store, I have just saved this store as my go-to store in the future for any bike needs. Not only were they willing to take my sons bike and fix it late on a Sunday afternoon when no one else would, they did it for no charge!Thanks guys! :)
