First time here and I got the cheddar cheese corn dog as well as the half and half. Both were delicious especially with the spicy chili sauce! Customer service was great and the wait time wasn’t too long as well. Seating was limited due to social distancing so it’s best the snatch the seats up before anybody else does. It was very clean in there and cute. 10/10 would recommend to go there for snacks! Actually wanted to add that Chung Chun Rice dogs are apar of the donut shop.
It was such an amazing experience! The atmosphere was extremely cozy and the worker was very kind! The mochinuts were quite flavorful, and the banana one was my personal favorite. Definately will be coming back for more!
The abundance of fusion desserts hasnt slowed down at all, and what better fusion than a shop that does both sweet and savory! Mochinut in Garden Grove pushes out the ever growing hype of mochi donuts with the added bonus of Korean corn dogs. The shop itself is nuzzled in a strip mall off Garden Grove Blvd. The service was super friendly and quick. Overall, this visit left me feeling satisfied. The desserts curbed the sweet cravings that I’ve been having but I wasn’t blown over the moon with any of the items I ordered. I probably won’t be venturing over here for a donut fix again.Thai Tea - ($5) - I opted for no tapioca with no adjustments to sweetness levels. The bottles’ aesthetics were cute, and came with a soda like top which was unique. The tea overall was a little too artificial for me. Instead of the standard refreshing taste I usually get with thai teas this was a tad too heavy for me.Mochi Donuts - (3 for $9) - DECENT! We chose Ube, Brown Sugar Milk Tea and Dulce De Leche Churro. Our favorite of the three was definitely the Brown Sugar Milk Tea.
There’s four locations in the surrounding area but they all carry different daily flavors. I ended up calling two nearby locations to ask for their daily flavors. You can also go on IG for each location. On this particular day (4/23/21), they both carry 7 flavors and only 3 overlapped. The 3 were churro, Korean churro and original. I was getting 6 from each location so only one flavor would be doubled down. It’s $15 for 6 or $30 for a dozen. You can get 3 for 7.50. It’s not cheaper to get more, all the prices are equally split. The Garden Grove location is in the same plaza as Ding Tea and Somi Somi. Some flavors stood out more than others. It’s the same mochi donut base, only the toppings gave the flavor.*Churro - cinnamon sugar applied on both sides. My favorite. Tastes just like a moist churro.*Jasmin Green tea - Another one of my favorite because you could taste the green tea, it was strong.*Korean churro - This is black sesame applied all around. Bland and I got sesame stuff in my teeth.*Cookies and cream - had a cookie and cream pokey stix.*Taro pebble - Faint in flavor and not so sweet. What enhanced the flavor was the fruity pebbles which added the sweetness and crunch.*Watermelon - basically a watermelon flavor glazed. This flavor stood out. It tasted like Bubble Yum flavor. My friend said it reminded her of Now A later or Jolly Rancher flavor. Bottom line, it taste like candy flavor.Original - We skipped out on this on this location. We went to the next location in T&K Plaza next door to Kung Fu Tea at the Westminister location:*Pandan - The color was not green and can’t taste the pandan, only tasted the shredded coconut.*White chocolate - Couldn’t taste the flavor*Biscoff - it’s like an original glazed, very light. Also can’t taste the flavor. Had a biscoff on top.**Red velvet - faint in flavorChurro - skipped this flavor at this location*Original glazed - Amazing but doesn’t beat KK. The glazed is at the top half. My favorite.Korean churro which is black sesame. Skipped this one.Overall, my top three were original, churro and jasmin green tea. Make sense why original, churro and Korean churro were at at both locations.Recommend to eat while it’s warm to get the full effect. We had it two hours later so it may have factored in the chewiness from the mochi.
I was super excited to get to try mochinut since it was so hyped. I enjoyed it, but they were overly sweet and sugary, that one is just enough. I tried the strawberry one, which was, again, super sweet, but sort of salvageable in taste considering I could taste the batter because it wasnt fully covered in frosting. Overall, I wouldnt exactly die for it, but its just something to enjoy once in awhile. That being said, Im willing to try some of the other flavors.
I love the original. The matcha is very unique. The line was long but worth the wait
Love their Brown sugar milk tea and Potato Mozzarella stick!! Donuts are amazing however my favorite flavor is Churro!
The donuts are pretty good but not for that price. Its ok to have it once in a long while. Service was pretty fast and straight forward.
If your craving a cheese dog or mochi donuts this is the go to place! They are made to order cheese dogs. I tried their yuzu slush and its the perfect mix of sweet and a little sour to pair with the savory cheese dog. I personally thought the hotdog was a little salty so I recommend getting the mozzarella dog or the potato one. I have yet to try their hot Cheeto cheese dog but it seems to be the hottest hit at the moment. I recommend here especially if your looking for awesome cheese pulls!!
4 stars for the mochi donuts, 5 stars for their version of hot dog on a stick. Maybe its just me but I couldnt distinguish the difference in taste of the mochi donuts. Now the hot dog...it is the BOMB!!!
Pretty good. Cute little shop. Will definitely return for more future flavors. Chung Chun is delicious!
When I heard about mochinut. I thought I would give it a try. Unfortunately when I got home, the donuts were undercooked and the corn dogs were cold. Even, our mozzarella corn dog was the coldest out of all the others. The cheese didn’t taste good. The employees were rude because I kept saying “what?” (Due to my hearing issues). I don’t think we will come back
Loved the Korean Churro mochinut with kinako and black sesame. The yuzu slush was good too but I wished it was more tart than all sweet. The mochi rice dog was crispy and good too!
OMG bloody AMAZING 🤤🤤🤤 soooo delicious 😋😋😋 definitely recommend it for your mochi donut or mochi corn dog 🤤🤤🤤🤤
The churro flavor should be renamed to dookie and the strawberry flavor was YUMM
Best Thai tea in Garden grove!!!! Fresh Boba too.
These are truly the best doughnuts I have ever eaten: So moist and soft yummy not overly sweet ❤️
I used to go to one in Garden Grove for mochinuts and I am happy that they open one in Westminster. I had the whole mozzarella hotdogs and mochinuts. Will be back.
Very expensive !A creative twist on a old fashioned fried favorite. But it is new . . . . .So the trendy will trend ?
Just ordinary Donut shop. The drink is pricey and food is in 3 starts.
Donuts were not that good, too sugary and mine were overcooked. Personally dont like the employees there. they are rude and blunt and overall not that helpful. I also heard that they do not ask for highschool permits when working, they just hire minors without the proper paperwork.
Best location
Best corn dogs !
Slow most of the time but the food is worth it.
My bestfriend and I come here at least once a week! So delicious!😋
Super yummy
