Only Chinese Market in the locale. Very well stocked.
Always a great place to shop. The freshest seafood and meats, and the best place to find fresh vegetables as well. It is 1 of my favorite places to shop no matter what city its in.
My foray into YouTube Asian cuisine needed sources of authentic food and spices. 99 Ranch Market is one of my mainstays. It has fresh produce and meats along with grocery staples at reasonable prices. The staff and patrons are very helpful.
Cool market. A good place in the South Bay if you can’t stick with the Korean and Japanese markets. There’s a good selection of items in the store, such as curry paste, spices, frozen dumplings and meats. It has everything that you can find in a typical Asian market, but doesn’t have all the authentic foods that you find in other Asian market. But it’s still a good market.
Good store to buy frozen goods, fresh fish, fruits, seeds to plant, noodles, and even house supplies. They even have orchids! Overall good store and the environment is calm.
I found new strange vegetables for my kitchen but Ill to use them, the market was clean, personnel was polite and attentive...
Love this market is a wonderland of tastes so much fresh items. I was lucky to visit and introduce the San Jose location to all my family members in that area! Happy to say they are regulars now.
First time here, staff was friendly, I agree with one of the reviews, it would help if they open more cash registers. Parking wasnt as bad as other people says
Seemed pricey, but the vegetables looked very fresh. Their meat is reasonably priced
I walked inside. This is one class D. Good for low grade shoppers. It is very cluttered inside. Cakes are not in the cold container. Im afraid of bacterial borne. Sorry I had food safety manager certification for groceries.
I love this store. The meat and fish are tasty. The vegetables and produce are fresh and varied. The snack section is always stocked. The staff are friendly and accommodating. They got a lot of frozen food items to chose from. The store is organized so you know where everything is or should be after your first time there. The staff sanitized after every customer at the check out so you should feel safe shopping here.
I was able to find everything I was looking for to prepare my Asian dinner I was very pleased with the collection of products
Has more things than I expected, but it is really good.
This store with Chinese characteristics. not a big place but you will find lot of Asian stuff you need :-)
Great place for live lobster ans fish and seafood in general.
Long lines, but what do you expect when you have fresh seafood. Always taste amazing.
This store is pretty chaotic but caters to a lot of different traditional foods from different Asian cultures. Also pretty good price for fruit and veg.
I really just went in to kill time while waiting on my food in the Chinese food on the corner of this Plaza. But Im curious Found lots of Snacks and foods. Fresh Seafood which I will be coming back for. Fresh Produce. Got to come here early because it gets so packed in and out. I suggest come early or before Lunch time[12pm]. Everybody that works there very Helpful and Friendly.🙂👍
I was looking for Banana Leaves for cooking Kalua Pork and found it in the frozen section. Note: Before you use the Banana Leaves make sure that you wash them really well. They are very Dirty.
The best thing about this place is the mushroom cooler. If you like mushrooms, this is the place to come. They also have a great selection of Chinese vegetables grown in California. Could use a lot more cleaning.
Most of the shelves were practically bare. When I stood in line to ask a question about a specific item, the cashier first told me that I needed to go to customer service, mind you I had no idea that they had a customer service booth and then she asked me what I was looking for and I showed her the picture. She stated with assured confidence that the item was on aisle 6 or 9. I checked both aisles thoroughly and after not being able to find what I was looking for since she didnt tell me where the customer service counter was, I went to look for it. I showed the employee at the counter the picture and she stated aisles 4 or 5. I was finally able to find the specific item that I was looking for and for not going to this store and having to go through that, I wouldnt want to go through it again. I had to do some seriously looking to find this item, no thanks to the employee behind the cash register and the other employee behind the customer service counter. Even though the employee had some idea of what aisle(s) to check, it wouldve been more helpful to show me exactly where it was. I felt like I was on a treasure hunt. Had I not searched every shelf thoroughly, I wouldnt have found it. It was in a place the average person wouldnt have looked. Even though they were out of the the item I was looking for, I was able to find it in another brand. After finding the item I I went back to the line I stood in to ask the question and let the cashier know where the item actually was, so in the future she wont hopefully send another first time customer on a treasure hunt or wild goose chase. Ill attach the photos of the items I have been referring to. Im giving them 2 stars because their customer service was not good and can use some improvement. The first photo is of the one I found and the other 1 was the 1 I was looking for.
The workers at the fish dept were very attentive. If you ask nicely, they tell you what other size fish they got because I had to but 25lb fish.
Perfect Asian experience...if they had cooking demonstrations would be a plus.
This store is great! I always have to check out local ethnic grocery stores when I travel and this was a highlight. A huge selection, really good prices, and a helpful staff. Produce and meats were really fresh. I dont know what I would do with canned pickled quail eggs but I am almost tempted to find out.
Fish looked fresh, staff very helpful, enjoyed experience, yeah, all good prices a plus ok
Best asian market for multiple asian cuisines & live seafood.
Great so many stuff to get 😍🤗
Good location in Del amo area to shop for Asian groceries. I buy a lot of oils and paste from the store as well as noodles and dried mushrooms. I like the Yu choy greens but I find that the location in Monterey Park area has a much bigger variety could be that its a vizier location but the star off is that greens and fruits its not always as fresh.theres a good selection of wines and sake as well as teas but I couldnt find powdered matcha among the big selection of hot drinks. if youre a fan of fresh seafood they have a big selection of fish and shell crab oysters and more.Other than that the places very practical and the workers are very friendly, helpful and professional.
Always love coming here. I order from their app too. I love this store.
Lots of tasty & inexpensive foodstuffs you just dont find at every store. Its often crowded, but you figure out how to navigate through the isles. Fresh seafood is at the back of the store (truth be told, I havent purchased any fish yet, but I like looking). Veggies are quality & generally less expensive than the more mainstream chains. Meat department is fresh, plentiful & varied. The only downside for me is that it isnt closer to my house.
Very nice large place to shop. I found super hard to find items here. It is definitely worth a visit. Give your self an hour.
Shelfs are well supplied and organized. Wide variety of authentic Asian ingredients. Food is fresh and properly sealed. Somewhat pricey but overall fair for most items
Great location off of artesia so you can get the 99 and go next door to Daiso and stop by the chinese herbalist all in 1 stop.
Still gots everything you need for some great hotpot at home. Butcher is good. Not an updated 99 like some of the others, so their inventory is crowded everywhere.
Very Good market they have very good prices I recommend everything about this place
Great selection but the quality of the produce has suffered over the years. Still the best option I know of for chinese food products in this neighborhood
Closest 99 Ranch to the Westside. (The one in Van Nuts is too small and cramped.) Good inventory in general. Great seafood and meat department. Would be perfect if it had a hot food deli.
Great place to shop if you’re early and you know what you want.
Decent supplies available for a smaller scale of market chain 😃 wish the employees could improve their service skill 😔no happy greetings..thank you... helpfulness...
Got all my Korean food here
Glad to have a ranch near me. It could be cleaner, the smell is interesting to say the least. Ive seen old produce, but also fresh Asian veggies.
Love shopping here for some of my favorite foods
Always a great market for just about any type of Asian food you can find, think of ... !
Fresh seafood. Many Asian vegetables that I dont find in many regular markets.
I love 99 Ranch. Where else can a guy buy geoduck in the South Bay or Extra Fancy Fuji Apples with mystical Chinese symbols stenciled on them?
Good Chinese supermarket
Their seafood and their whole Frozen rabbit are my favorite!!!
Very underwhelming. First time going to 99 ranch market and thought it would be a typical Chinese supermarket. But it was very small, tight aisles. No structure when trying to get fresh seafood or meat. Will have to try going to the one in SGV to see if that is better
The best salmon!😋🤩
A great place to purchase your bulk pantry staples and snacks. A stunning variety of noodles and instant noodles alike, dried fruits, pickled veggies and more! While the selection is impressive the upkeep is a little less so. Aisles are crammed and occasionally untidy, flies were gathered round the corn for some reason and the effort to keep people going one direction to tackle covid seemed to herd people into each other rather than away from them.
Im attempting to make Phó at home and I found everything I was looking for. The store is nice and neat. They have lots of fresh produce. Very pleasant experience here.
Has almost all you asian groceries needs! At reasonable prices too!
99 Ranch is a great market but I was shocked at how crowded the store was. They didnt have a line to get in to maintain COVID safety and social distancing in the store resulting in what appeared to be way too many people. It made me extremely uncomfortable.
Great deals on there sea food i had went looking for sea food for Gumbo they had everything I needed at a great cost I would be visiting again
I got fried salmon. Delicious
I come here to get tapioca balls and all different ice cream!
This store has asian food and specific sauces you cant find in a normal grocery store. The deli is also very clean.
Large grocery store with mostly Asian foods. Great fish. Fruit and vegetables. There was a small wait time to get in (covid measures enforced). Large busy parking lot.
Very expensive oriental grocery store.Do not come here. Go to stores in Alhambra or Little Saigon City.
Good place to shop, but they are expensive compare to other stores like Dat Moi and Farmers. The fish I bought was very expressive
Very nice, I actually enjoyed watching the live fish swim around in the tank
Its a pleasant experience shipping here but the cashier is rude.
First time there; I needed some ingredients for some Chinese dishes I was trying out. They had lots of variety to choose from and the prices are very reasonable. I had to level up my cooking skill due to the COVID situation. I will definitely be going back there.
Good place a little bit expensive then other places but sometimes it is what it is so we have too accepted because others store dont have what are you looking for
Unorganized, food quality is poor
Lots of fresh Asian pop produce.
Variety meat package for hot pot. The meat sliced very thin, we like it. The meat price is reasonable. Better selection than Cerritos store. Only drawback is they do not sell hot food.
Fresh produce, clean although some items are a little more than the usual store that we go to.But overall its worth it.
The spot for rare Asian fruits, dried snacks and Asian sodas. Someone has been buying all the dried plums before I get there though..
First time coming here after years of only come into Daiso and the bank and honestly came for 3 things heart of palm, agar agar, and Kala namak which could not find. The shelves are so close two people going in the opposite directions brush shoulder to shoulder. They have 5 brands of the same item which makes you think they have a large variety. They did have alot of great stuff but none of what I was looking for. Employees so need a check on customer service instead of saying the line starts for check out at aisle 4 she just said go to 4, which I dont understand its not a busy night yet everyone has to stand in one big line going down an aisle people cant even go down and look at the aisle for the line.
We bought 4 boxes quail eggs, but almost half of them are Broken or having mold on top.Updated by 7/15/2018 -Today we go there again, and bought the noodle. When we try to cook it this evening (same day), we find the frozen noodle is already gone bad and have mold.I take the picture this time. 99 ranch, you deserve a collapse as you treat your customers as nothing!
This store is soooo cool! Had everything I needed and was looking for. Very cool!
Someone say top ramen time? They have all flavors and brands my fav is mas fried noodles also they have soy, chili paste, ginger snacks, taro and lime chips, I know right all kinds of snacks and sea food, go check it out. You may have to stand in a short line but worth the wait.
99 Ranch has a very good selection of Asian groceries. Has all types of rice in several sizes. Produce very fresh. Excellent choice of fish and meats butcher to help you choose your selection. There is a courtesy desk too.
An oasis of goods in the middle of the city of Gardena, the seafood department is very well stocked and it even has seabass in it, a lot of Asian spices and oils to prepare a delicious meal...
Very unique. So many hard to find Asian foods. I will be visiting again.
The crowd at the seafood counter was shoulder to shoulder. They closed off an area for the checkout line so you cannot go directly from the doors to produce. You have to go all the way back then make a left to get to the produce or to line for checkout, so you HAVE to walk through the crowd for the seafood counter. Will not be coming back. Tokyo Central is so much safer. At checkout, the cashier asked if I wanted bags. I said no bc I have bags in the car. But she didnt put the stuff back in my cart. So I decided it would be easier to have bags since I had a lot of little things. I asked for bags and she said she cant give me bags. The only reason I can think of is that theyre charging for bags. All other grocery stores are not charging for bags because they dont want youtyou bring your own anymore. They made the store safe for the employees but not for the customers.
Great for all your Asian ingredients and fresh fish.
My favorite fish market 😋
Amazing fresh always
I love to come to 99 cents ranch market cuz I like to get the dumplings theyre good and the little snacks and mostly the cookies cuz I like to make fresh banana split cookies with ice cream and other stuff wow they have a lot of things that I need for me to cook real good
I was looking for crawfish to make crawfish etoufee and knew this store would have it. As soon as I walked to the door I could smell an offensive smell of fish! (I wish they could do something about the pungent smell of fish as soon as you hit the door.) Otherwise, great store for all of your Asian needs and more. Fair prices and staff are friendly and very helpful. Parking is free in the lot and is very busy.
Lots of selection of hard to find Asian food. Not as cheap as you may be able to find at some other markets, but a nicer store experience in general.
The fish are fresh
