I cracked my windshield back in July and Safelite was able to quickly replace it at a great cost. They damaged my vehicle however and owned up to it, saying they’d order the parts and get me back in real quick. It’s now November, after calling countless times and being reassured a manager would get back to me, I am no longer able to get in contact with them. It’s a shame after the great service they were able to provide that this was how things went
Had a crack on my window that was spreading pretty fast and decided to go with Safelite since they come to your house. However after doing the quote, I needed to go in because my camera needed to be calibrated. It was fairly easy to get a quote, do the insurance claim, and get it done all through Safelite. When the work is being done, you can monitor the progress through a web app, which is great. Overall really good experience and I think they did a good job. The only thing is they forgot to move over a sticker from my old window which was pretty important. Luckily I noticed it before leaving and they were able to recover it.
Im tired of hearing Im sorry when they screw up. Id rather see them genuinely trying to fix the problems rather than hearing it when they are not sincerely saying it.I have a 1 PM appointment which I was early to arrive. They assigned the car to a technician, and said that it would be done within the hour. By 2 PM, I asked the secretary why No-one is working on the car. She went around and after 10 minutes, she informed me that the technician decided to work on other car instead.Left hand doesnt know what the right hand is doing. 10 minutes later she said a new technician was assigned and I can talk to the manager when he come back. Talking about passing the buck. What good would that do, I asked? The task was finish 1/2 hr later. No apology from the manager. I just pay the bill and left. No reason to waste my breath or get anymore upset. E
They work fast and provide quality work. Prices are lower than doing it at the car dealer (40% less) .JUST MAKE SURE TO PUT ANY ITEMS AWAY BEFORE YOU DROP OFF YOUR CAR. THEY LOST OR STOLE A CELLPHONE HOLDER THAT WAS ATTACHED TO MY VEHICLE.

I was in a hopeless situation, and the staff and technicians here really came through for me.I was about to ship my Jeep to Germany when I accidentally broke my windshield while taking a decoration off the rear view mirror. I had already checked out of my hotel, my flight was in a few hours, and the best I could do was try and scramble to get all of this stuff rescheduled.Safelite in Gardena listened, and while they couldn’t give me any concrete promises, they booked me the soonest appointment and gave me hope in a dark moment.I changed my hotel and flight and hoped it would all work out, assuming it wouldn’t. But they checked me in and had my windshield replaced in less than two hours!I was able to move my appointment forward and they accepted the Jeep for inspection. Thanks to them taking care of me, I am back with my family on time to handle our last business before we go to Germany.Thank you all so much!
The service is nothing like you see on the commercial. What a case of over promise and under deliver. Made online reservation to fix small quarter sized rock chip in windshield. Received several texts/emails my appointment was set and the Technician would arrive between 1p-5p. Well, I was ghosted. I got suspicious about 4:40p and tried to chat, email, call, anything to reach the company. they do everything to avoid speaking with you. No response. No show. No attempt to contact me to reschedule. I will never use this company and will encourage everyone I know to avoid this place. Horrible, horrible customer service and follow up. Shame on you Safelite for producing warm and fuzzy commercials, and then do not deliver.

They even cleaned the dash n floor a bit. Big plus in my eyes and made the experience worth the wait.Of course employees come n go and not everyone stays for life.My reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is due no posted phone number so its hard to call n verify appointments and ask other specific questions.The automated voice machine never gets you connected to an agent.
Arrived at 3:30pm for my 4pm appointment, to replace the windshield of my vehicle. I was told it would take 3 hours for the work. Waited there until a bit after 6pm, the place closes at 5pm(mind you). About a dozen vehicle came and left and my vehicle just waiting, no one even looked at it. I finally got up after not been acknowledged and went to ask the receptionist when my vehicle would be ready, she said, oh you are still here? Hold on let me go find out sir, she said. She came back and told me it would take another 1 1/2 hours, at this point I was very disappointed and frustrated that I just asked for my keys and walked away.My frustration is that if they tell me they need my vehicle for 3 hours and my vehicle sits there for 2 1/2 hours without being touched, what’s the point?Overall, very poor customer service at this location.
Yes went to get front side window replaced. Very unprofessional establishment, actually didnt even put all the screws back in my door. I should not have to pay for this unprofessional type repair.Also had to wait 3 hours even though I arrived early because techs continued to switch from car to car...Probably why they forgot screws and did not put weather stripping back on correctly the first time. I would never go back to this place. Would rather go to pick-a-part!
As I’m reading the reviews I had no idea what would happen but I AM VERY IMPRESSED! The work came out AMAZING and I got to see everything from the lobby lol. Wonderful staff and was told the time frame and they finished right on time.Also, I had a crack in the windshield and thank goodness for my insurance I was able to save money unlike with other companies I was trying to go without going thru insurance. But in the end still managed to save. Thank you Safelite!

2 very small rust spot stopped this place from changing out my windshield. I guess when insurance companies send you all your business it doesnt matter helping out the little guy. Was told appointments take 2 hours and insurance drop offs can take all day. Whats the point of telling me to be there at 9:30 and then tell me it could be all day.

My visit isnt even over and it has already been one of the worst experiences Ive had with an auto repair shop. Upon entering the shop, there was someone already waiting at the desk and no one at the front desk to check people in. It took almost 10 minutes before anyone came out from what I can only assume is a break room.Only after turning over my keys did they tell me that the process would take 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Ive had the windshield replaced multiple times with safelight (on the east coast) and they have come out to my location to do the replacement; never taking more than 30 minutes to do a full repair. When I objected to the length of time, I was informed that I didnt know what type of service I had recieved before and that even mobile replacements have the tech on location for two hours.When they went out to bring my vehicle into the shop, the tech went from vehicle to vehicle clicking the remote to find my jeep; despite being the only jeep in the parking lot and the only vehicle with out of state plates. If you are unable to identify a jeep wrangler without clicking the horn, you may want to pursue a career other than auto repair.This experience has severely damaged my opinion of Safelight as a company and intended to pass my experience on to my insurance company who recommends them as a preferred provider.

I had to reschedule my appointment 4 different times because they couldn’t seem to get the right glass and one of the times I dropped my car off and left thinking they were gonna call me when it was done then after an hour and a half of not getting that call I went back and they told me they didn’t even have the right glass so I wasted so much time. Nice people that don’t know how to use their brains. 1/10 experience.
Had my windshield replaced, now I have a whistling sound when I drive because they did not install the trim that goes over the glass properly. Received my car and there was pieces of glass on the drivers side floor.
Im impressed! They did an exemplary job replacing my windshield. The waiting area and restroom were very clean. They even have good coffee which you can have as much of as you like. The wait time could be improved but the approximated completion time was so spot on there were 15 minutes to spare. Manuel and Mario were very efficient and professional. The call with my insurance company went smoothly enough and they offered a few choices for replacing my windshield. SafeLite offered mobile service where they come to your home to replace the windshield. They ask for the vehicle make, model and year so they can secure the correct windshield. This seemed like a convenient option but the service fell well short. I was scheduled for a 5-hour window (8:00am - 1:00pm) and they did not show up during the window. I contacted SafeLite via the customer chat on their website but they were entirely unhelpful. I called and after a couple transfers was told they would arrive soon.Once they arrive they determine they do not have the correct windshield and can only secure the correct one though the dealership.Long story short: 6 hour waste of time, no new windshield and unprofessional customer service team.

I feel like I got bait and switched. I was quoted 850 for a windshield and recalibration from their website. They didnt honor their price and made me pay 1100 for it claiming the part was more expensive.

All the commercials, call and schedule an appt, they arrive, they replace and youre happy youve replaced your broken windshield. NO. When they arrived, they said sorry we dont have a part so well need to come back. Well call you tomorrow. Called twice and they said theyd call back. Instead I get a text saying my appt is canceled. So all those drivers of Subaru vehicles, they may not be able to help you. My husband took time off work to meet the tech, only to be told sorry they dont have the part. Would not recommend. Would have use the service paid the price they quoted of $427.52, but theyre unorganized and seem to not value their potential customers. If youre in Bellflower, Downey, Norwalk or wish to save go to Sinaloa Auto Glass on Woodruff and Rosecrans.

They broke my hood latch! And didnt finish the job in 3 hours for windshield replacement found out when I went back after they had already closed. I also cant contact or leave a message for the customer care phone number either because its closed due to covid so I cant even report this to your damn company I cant even contact your location called called over five times and nobody would pick up even though at this time that location is still open
Well, i was up ready to walk out because the lady at the service counter ignored my presence for more than FIVE MINUTES; then, after having me wait way beyond the scheduled time; discovered that id needed to be re-scheduled; when i come early for a 1pm apptmt., the same person tells me that the guy doing my work is at lunch huh?😐 we definitely didnt like each other...but the young sweetheart who installed my windshield mede me believe he felt my service was important and everything worked out favorably👍 (elbow bump)😊

If you value HONESTY and INTEGRITY that will end up SAVING you money so you dont waste your time or over pay, then DO NOT take your vehicle here for glass repair.I needed to replace my rear glass window on my 2020 Rav4 XSE. I scheduled a Wednesday morning appointment online, since they were not taking appointments over the phone. I was instructed to bring my car in before 9:30am in order to have the window fixed. The Wednesday morning of the appointment I was sent an email to bring my vehicle in at 7:30am, so I dropped it off at 7:30am expecting it to be finished by the end of the business day or sooner. At 12:30pm I called them to get an update on the progress, they told me they were still working on it. At 4:30pm, 30 minutes before they close, they left me a voicemail that the car was finished and ready for pick up.When I arrived, I saw my car in the parking lot and the window was not fixed. I went inside and spoke to who I assumed was the manager, I should of got his name. He told me that they could not replace the window because the back windshield wiper needed to be replaced and that we needed to take it to the dealer or a body shop. This did not sound right to me, but my car had just sat all day at their business and nothing was done, so I no longer wanted to do business with them. Why didnt Safelite call me sooner with this information and why did they tell me on the voicemail that my car was done, which to me, implies that the work scheduled is completed? My answer, poorly run business with shady business practices.The next day I took the car to a body shop and told them the information that Safelite told me about the window wiper and motor needing to be replaced. The body shop did not have the glass and it would take them a week to get it, but they charged me a 100 dollar teardown fee to look at the wiper and motor.I should of just taken the vehicle to Low Price Auto Glass off of Wilmington, which is what I ended up doing. They fixed it in under an hour and guess what? Thats right. Nothing was wrong with the wiper or motor, it worked as if it was brand new. The technician at Low Price Auto Glass was confused to why Safelite said it needed to be fixed. So taking it to the Body Shop and paying them 100 bucks to look at the wiper was a complete waste of time which I should send my bill to Safelite. Thankfully Low Price Auto Glass only charged 350 dollars, whereas Safelite was going to charge me 510. But more importantly than over charging, they wasted 3 days of my time. AVOID SAFELITE, especially this location.
Disorganized and a mess. Told me to come back at 5 PM, paid, got my keys, but nothing was done to my car, I was like: ?????Apparently their reasoning was because the technician had a phone glitch and missed a few orders, I was one of them. Was going to give 1 star, but added another one for their apologetic attitude. Still pretty unsatisfied that I had to wait another hour for my car to be done when I already waited all day to come pick it up.

Man, it isnt every day that a company actually does what it says. Here are the reasons I am impressed.I called TODAY at 12p to get a chip in my windshield fixed. I was told a technician could COME TO ME. TODAY!I was told he would be here between 1p-6p (and we know how most service providers windows of time usually go: 6:30p, they show up.) at 1:36, I got a text message that Nicolas was on his way. The text had his contact info, his picture, and an 800# to call if I had any questions. At 2pm, Nicolas called me and said he was here. I met him and led him to my vehicle, where he inspected my windshield, told me about possibilities of more cracking, gave me additional options, and explained the process of repairing the chip. By the time he started, I had no questions left unanswered, and felt completely confident in Nicolas.By 2:35, he called me to inform me that the repair was complete. I met him again at the car, where he thoroughly explained the warranty, and answered all my questions about the repair.I COULD NOT be more satisfied with the level of service from Safelite. Thank you!! Youve got a customer for life.
Would give 0 stars if possible. Waited 3 weeks to get an appointment. 1st phone customer service rep was nice enough but didnt input the request for service(1 week). Call the following week and have to make another request for service(2nd week) and am given a date for the following week. (Week 3)Take a day off work for the appointment. Only to have the guys arrive and tell me they cant do the job. Without even getting out of the van. Spent all of 45 seconds at my location. So just to surmise. 3 weeks gone, still have a cracked windshield, lost a days pay and the only response I received was...sorry. A good representation of what California has turned into. Professional advertising appearance, impersonable customer interaction and run by a bunch of CLOWNS.

Quick, easy, professional and excellent customer service. I brought my Mercedes Benz on a Saturday morning and I was in an out in about one hour. Drove to Palm Springs right away without any issues. Its been two weeks and the car has been exposed to rain, wind, and the sun without any issues or defects.
I was able to come in for a drop off even though they mentioned they already had three other drop offs. Friendly vibes. My car was done sooner than expected only took about 3 hours instead of it being ready at 5pm. And my glass looks great. They even put water repellent spray on it Yay!!

Had my front windshield repaired at the Gardena facility yesterday. I was very happy with the service and employees. I was told the repair would take 2 hours but my car was done in 1 hour and 15 minutes. I just want to say that my service tech ROBERT was wonderful, very informative and really cared about my overall experience with Safelite. I have NOTHING NEGATIVE to say about my experience at all.

Have your broken glass replaced by EDGAR. He did a great job on my kia soul in the rear window. He cleaned the glass in between the panels and left zero glass debris in between. He cared to make sure that I was happy with his results.
They NEVER are available for any good times. So make sure you plan your cracked windshields accordingly with their schedules. Make sure you dont have a cracked windshield after 3pm otherwise you need to get used to driving with a cracked windshield for a few days. (Talk about being super safe!!)

Phone personnel and technician were courteous and professional, a pleasure to work with. Workmanship should have been better. A plastic clip was broken during windshield replacement and I was never informed. I found out by having the piece come loose and flap in the wind on the freeway. Its possible that it could have broke during installation (vs. removal) but unlikely as the clip is designed to hook in from one direction. It would have been nice if technician would have pointed this out and worked with his company to make it right. Now I have to contact them to get it fix. Ruined an otherwise excellent experience. Had he been proactive I would have rated 5 stars.

I had a chip/crack in the center of my windshield and I made an appointment in my car and then drove there. The technician was really nice and walked me through the process and explained the risks that are inherently involved anytime youre working with glass. They did a great job even though my windshield did redeveloped a little bit I knew it was likely to happen but it still looks way better than it did and it was a lot cheaper than a new windshield. Ive read a lot of bad stories about these guys in general and I still gave it a shot and I even hid a camera in my car to make sure they actually did the repair instead of claiming some of the stuff Ive read online and they did an outstanding job. I would recommend this location to anyone.

Trash company. Had them replace my 2015 tacoma windshield thinking I was getting an awesome deal with them telling me it was going to be an original Toyota replacement. Technician replaced glass in a decent amount of time. Heard the technician drop his tools a few time because he was running out of sunlight. After about 3 hours of the replacement drove the vehicle to get food and my girlfriend noticed a small crack in the glass. Contacted the manager of this site. They sent out another technician and the guy says it was due to impact and he cant replaced the glass and Id have to pay another $330 bucks. Wow. Asked the technician to have his manager contact me and I have yet to hear from anyone. Ive tried contacting them and they seem to not want to deal with their mistake. Also, informed the manager about being a AAA member and eligible for a discount. They never added the discount in. Safelite is a trash company. Id rather give my money to a Walmart technician. Fail.

Low-quality glass. Incompetent staff. In the first week I had the glass replaced with a cheap imported glass despite its advertisements for being made in the United States. The very next day, the glass shattered from an impact with the hood. For the following week, I waited for someone to come to the site for replacement and despite the measures that I made to ensure that everything was prepared for them to replace the glass on the vehicle while I was gone, they could not replace it. I was very largely inconvenienced by three weeks of waiting and now my glass is still broken. Not to mention, the quality of glass was far inferior than it was made out to be. I am very disappointed.
Made one appointment & my original appointment got canceled because the initial part they ordered was for the wrong window & a Rep @ your Avalon facility told me but wasn’t able to edit the appointment, so I called back to fix the misunderstanding & was told everything was good & fixed & to come in for my appointment the day it was scheduled. So I went there the day of my appointment & was told they didn’t have any parts for me & had me wait even longer (2-3 more days) . So by this point it’s almost been a week (about 5 days) & I’m still driving around with a broken window not fixed because Safelite’s representatives did their job poorly & incorrectly. I wasn’t even given any accommodations or extra services for the inconvenience of SAFELITE’S service, not good.

The real standout is the people performing the installations. Clearly, they are very well-trained, friendly & professional. The one area for Safelite to improve would be in providing more information on the replacement glass. Some online forums have complained of glass waviness (likely because of an inexpensive windshield). This is fine, but I found it difficult to clarify any distinctions between brands, performance factors and what makes windshields more on the bargain side, as compared to the high-end. For example, tinted windshields vary greatly blocking UV rays and even have SPF ratings. These windshields also have features that prevent break-ins, with certain durability against smashing. When replacing a factory windshield, it would be very helpful to know all of this: some customers might opt for a lesser bargain, while others might seek an upsell with more features.

On Monday my wife called me really bummed for breaking the rear window of 2012 Audi Q7. She was backing into a parking space in an underground garage. The back up sensors only sense at bumper level but garage duct work popped the glass before she could stop. I asked her to let me call around and get a price to fix it. I called Audi Downtown LA and they said the glass was between $468 and $688, installation was $250 and it would take three days. I figured with the rental car it would be at least a grand. I googled auto glass, went to the Safelite website and filled out a request online. I had an insurance identification card with the VIN (the website needed the VIN to get the right glass). I found out they could fix it at my location on Saturday. (No good, wife needs her car and we dont want to pay for a rental that long.) They had an option to drive to a Safelite shop. I checked and at the shop they could fix it the next day (on Tuesday) for $548.41 including taxes and everything. I called the number on the email confirmation because it said something about confirming your pick-up time with the shop. They verified that they had the right glass for the car in their local supply and told me I could wait in the shop for the two hour process from 11:00am to 1:00pm. My wife took the car and everything went well. She said they kept her updated as the process went along. There was a window so you could watch them working on the car. There was a TV in the waiting area and free wifi. They were done right on time. Our insurance deductible is $500 so we didnt bother with insurance. My wife had her car fixed within 24 hours after the catastrophe and I looked like a hero.
