This low key place is hard to find at first because it’s in middle of commercial and I was almost lost just to get a parking spot.We went on Tuesday night and it was already packed but luckily I got a table. Food was so good and I was so surprised how food came out so fast. 10 mins later I got all orders the I made and high quality as well as deserts.
Family lunch at Eatalian. Its a good place to bring the family. The food comes out quickly and is always delicious. This is our first time eating here, honestly everything was perfect! The Rok pizza was delicious.I will come back to try more!
This place is impressive. Driving by youd never even know it was there, but when you step through the front door you realize its quite an operation, and huge inside with lots of seating. They have a full bakery putting out all kinds of delicious looking pastries. Also an authentic looking pizza oven and a kitchen that looks capable of servicing a place even twice the size. The pizza is delicious. I heard they make some of the pasta on premises. The lunch rush is crowded, but it looks like they do a substantial to go business as well. Cool place.
Hey everyone. This place is a hidden gem in LA worth checking out. Its an amazing eatery with spacious seating and a wide varitey of Italian specialties and drinks. The black truffle lasagna 10/10 😍, there isnt anything quite like it 😋! Perfect date spot.
Love this place. A hidden gem. you cant go wrong with the Lasagna, ravioli with butternut squash, or the pizza.
This is the one of my 3 best places for Italian cuisine, all the food is so Tasty and delicious!!! Love this place so much. Patrick is the manager he is awesome, so kind and welcoming, all the stuff is incredibly nice and professional
I consider this place to be a hidden gem. Its located in an industrial/warehouse district. The neighborhood is not flattering. The outside is not flattering. Real beauty comes from the inside: the inside of the building is modest and charming. The service is good. The food is outstanding. The portions are a bit smaller, but I felt that was acceptable, considering the better quality offered. Dont go there to get stuffed like a thanksgiving turkey. Go there if you want to feel like Don Corleone when hes petting his cat.
Love this place just off their free bread alone! Pizza is good too but, no matter what, try their desserts! You wont regret it!
Went based on a friends recommendation. I will preface this with that Im Italian so very particular about Italian food that being said I thought it was good for the price. I got the truffle lasagna and hubby got the Pizza capricciosa. Lasagna was just okay way too much cheese but you definitely could taste the mushrooms. Pizza was uber thin crust which I love could have been a bit more generous with toppings. House wine was really light which I thought was perfect for such a heavy meal. The definite highlight of this meal was the friendly staff and the gelato. My husband loves gelato and weve practically have tried it everywhere and without a doubt this is the best. I got the pistachio and cappuccino, hubby the hazelnut and amaretto.
My must go Italian restaurant!!! Capriccios is one of my fave pizzas from here. Plus the service is great here. Pizzas are super thin and crispy. Pretty simple (unless you customize) and just sooo soooo good! I love the speciale, which is a margherita, but with added fresh mozzarella and cherry tomatoes. Also love the pepperoni pizza, omggg. They dont call it pepperoni here, but of course if you ask, they know. Seriously the best pizza in the south bay, IMO. Their pastas are hand made! And also delicious. Love the lasagna and the tagliatelle with meat ragu. They even come with complimentary bread. They offer house made breads/desserts as well as imported packaged pastas and sauces that you can purchase inside. Definitely will be coming back!
Favourite place to go to for me and my husbands. We been going here since more than a decade and it has great ambiance and service. Tasty food and great wines. Lots of memories. Thank you.
Absolutely love this restaurant. Dont let the location scare you. The maitre d recommended wines to pair with each of our meals. The food came out piping hot. The servers were friendly and courteous. The gelatos were fantastic.
Served very authentic Italian food. We ordered an appetizer(seafood combination), a lasagna, and a seafood risotto to share for three people. The portion is big, so we couldn’t finish them all. Would love to try their desserts next time.Doesn’t look like a restaurant outside, but looks professional inside. It’s hard to find a parking space during lunch time. You can park cross the street or they offer valet parking.
One and done with this place. You can find better Italian places with better tasting food that isnt over priced. Plus the spot is located in a weird location between an industrial area and boarder lines the city Compton. Parking is hard to find and had to park across the main street. Save yourself some time and look else where.
A different vibe from you typical date night Italian generic restaurant. Great dishes. Been coming here for years and finally writing a review. The best thing I can say about this place is the I have never ordered something I did not like.
Ten!!! The best Italian Ive ever had.Service is simply outstanding. Thanks a lot Patrick.
Ice cream/gelato was amazing.
Good customer service good lasagna and it didnt take long for my order to be ready I will be back
A hidden gem literally. Nestled in an industrial zone we had our doubts but were gladly proven wrong. Great food; great service and deserts. Definitely proved that you shouldnt judge a book by its cover
We love this unassuming, Italian restaurant in an industrial -cool vibe setting in Gardena- go figure! Plates are consistently delectable, staff is efficient, location is clean - other than their willingness to take reservations, you cant ask for more.
I always come to this place whenever I want to have authentic Italian dishes. All of dishes and desserts are so great. You better be starving!I recommend you to try both pasta and pizza. Pizza is enough to share with about 3 people. I believe their wines are also great. I don’t drink because I drive, but my friends are always satisfied with their selection.
Dont judge a book by its cover. The neighborhood and building might make you think twice about coming here, but it is SO worth going! The food is some of the best pasta in the South Bay. Service is very friendly and the pizza is awesome. Get the pizza as an appetizer if no one is ordering it as a main. dont be surprised if you dont have room for dessert, small parking lot to the left of the building. Oh, and make sure someone gets the lasagna, seriously.
Good place for Italian food. Save room for Dessert, all home made Desserts and so good.Only bad thing No servers-waiters at this time. Order and pay at Register, take a seat and wait. Will give it a few more months, we will be back .
The food is outstanding but it has become like a fast food restaurant with no wait staff. The bread is no longer fresh. Standards have dropped. I would hate to see them go out of business - they need to step it up a notch!
Cool relaxed open warehouse-like atmosphere. Good food, nice guys runnin the show it seems. I had margherita pizza with prosciutto...it was really good. Espresso also good
Fresh and delicious! Though it was a very busy evening, takeout was quick and handled efficiently with excellent personalized service. The Panna Cotta with berries was so delightful!!
Great and excellent Italian restaurant that I have been in a long long time. It was food that me and my girlfriend had that was absolutely amazing and will come back. I cannot express how great the service was and I will come back to try the many different wines they had. It was something a little bit different than most restaurants of course but worth a try.
Yummy fresh food! Pizza was amazing and made to perfection 🥰
Food was ok. The Restaurant was like a fast food drive thru, like Jack in the box. Had to ask for ever condiment.Everything was A la cart for two people the bill was $100,00.Would not go back.
Please support this amazing local business!! The covid set up is not what you want when you go out to eat BUT I didnt question any of the things theyve done to comply with the restrictions. The quality of food & service was great. I took my mom to lunch with her bf and my bf. 4 people. 3 pizzas, an entree, a salad, ice tea and 2 beers was just under $100. We all really enjoyed the fresh, delicious flavors of our meals. Not a single complaint. Order take out or go eat on the patio set up. It was a gorgeous afternoon. It was quiet and a nice birthday lunch. The owner even ran out to my car as we were leaving to give my mom a complimentary dessert after he over heard me tell her happy birthday. No photos of food. We were all starving and dug right in before we even considered stopping for a photo.
Everything was delicious as usual but we didn’t get served any bread with dipping oil before getting our dinner.
The food is amazing, the atmosphere is amazing, the service is first class!! I highly recommend that if you eat at this establishment that you save room for dessert. Their Gelato is like no other as well as their baked desserts.
Very good food. Good place to have dinner
It is in the middle of an industrial area, but do not let that fool you. Awesome Italian food and they also have an amazing bakery inside.
Awesome place. Had lunch here but want to try it for dinner!
Always great food with good service. The atmosphere brings me back to being with my big Italian family on the east coast..
This place deserves more than a 5-star rating I only wish I could have went before covid to get the full dining experience but even the take-out was awesome
Excellent food and service. Came in towards closing and the owner was very patient and accommodating with us.
Had the tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms. Nice fresh pasta although maybe a little much (portion) for lunch. Margarita pizza was cooked just right and thin crispy crust was a nice finish. The Emilia salad of roasted vegetables was just alright, would not get a 2nd time. Over all good lunch, if I lived in the area code would try coming for dinner, menu looked enticing. Was nice also they had a bar with wine and mixed drinks available.
A fresh food, wine and pastries oasis in the middle of the otherwise quiet street. A variety of Italian dishes and wine. I had the filet mignon topped with porcini sauce and mushrooms and a wine of regular cabernet sauvignon because the regular wine was sweet for my taste. The service is swift and very courteous... enjoy your dinner my hungry friends.... Blessings
Great thin crust pizza. Pasta is excellent. One of the better spots for takeout.
Lasagna tasted like chef boy ardee. I heard very good reviews to go and I was dissapointed. We wont be back.
While the atmosphere is unique and pleasant, it does not actually follow what one expects in an Italian restaurant. The lighting is a bit harsh, with a florescent look. The service was friendly and considering how busy they were, I feel they were fairly attentive. We called ahead to ask about prices and was told that the Entrés averaged about 10 to 15 dollars each but in reality they average 15 to 25 dollars each. I ordered a Spinach Stuffed Ravioli dish with a meat sauce that was delicious. One of us ordered a gluten free Speghetti with meatballs. There were no meatballs and it had a more commercially prepared flavor (I tasted it). If you are on a gluten free diet you have very little choices here. The bar did offer a large variety of beer and wine! And they have an amazing bakery! Because this place is most unique in its atmosphere, I am glad I experienced it but the next time I am craving Italian Cuisine, I will go somewhere else.
The restaurant is in an industrial area of Gardena. This is a gem right here in the city. You have many choices of pizzas, pastas, and salads. There are also many vegan options on the menu. There is something for everyone there.
One of my favorite hidden gems to eat. I love the pizza but they have hands down one of the best breakfasts in Southbay. You get fresh squeezed OJ, fresh latte, omelette with a side of prosciutto and fresh mozzarella. And they’ll also make you a pizza 🍕
The food was fresh and delicious and waiter was very knowledgeable and suggested some dishes we tried.
Great. food, good service, and nice atmosphere.
Great atmosphere. Great food. Wonderful service. Desserts to die for.
Seats at counter most entertaining. Favorites: Sicilian salad w oranges kalamata olives, margherita or speciale pizza, steak w grilled veggie sides, gnocchi, tagliatelle ragu, butternut squash ravioli, spinach ricotta ravioli w butter sage sauce, scalopinne w lemon butter sauce. Anything at Gelato bar. Raspberry or apricot pastry tarts. Nonno tart. Hazelnut choco cannelloni cone.
Excellent food and service. One of my favorite places.
Great cafe with food faithfully prepared in the Italian tradition: simple and very fresh ingredients combined for outstanding taste. Our family of five (two adults and 3 young kids) had two different kinds of pizzas and devoured everything. Then we shared three different desserts (all excellent; it was a tie between the panna cotta and the cannelloni for top place.) This place may be a bit out of the way, but it is a hidden gem.
Good food. Ask for medium cook stake but I received medium well. It was a little over cook but good stake.
We drive all the way from Palmdale just to eat here. The enjoeat and rock pizza were absolutely delicious. The riso ai gamberi was great. For dessert you cant go wrong with the tiramisu and the gelato. Always the best service.
This place has the best pastries!!! Omg I love their house cake. Also their seafood stew plate is delicious!! Nice people in a family friendly environment. One of my top My favorite places go to place in Gardena
Pizza was DELICIOUS!! Weird setup but great food
By far the best Italian food in the southbay
It was a nice hidden eating place. Needs upgrade but the food is good.
So delicious. Warehouse setting. Unique, the best Italian Ive had in a while. Take the cannoli. 🤤🤤🤤
Nice place! Clean and simple just like Italian cuisine, the food is tasty and the service is good too.
I need more stars. The food is wonderful my only complaint is the welcoming and ordering process. That Staff is most unwelcoming, rude and condensending ALL the time.If the food wasnt so good I wouldnt go.Lol we are weekend regulars
Amazing customer service, clean establishment, great food!! Try the pizza!
Not bad!
Food was great the taste and authenticity was on point. However my one draw back was the serving size... wow... i mean expect to order more.
Great restaurant with fabulous confectionary delights ranging from pastry, pies, cookies and gelato. Stop taking orders at 830pm. Offer family style options.
Great frutti di mare. i personally dont enjoy seafood but this place makes it really enjoyable.
The staff was nice.No long waits. And this is the place for true authenticItalian food.
Very friendly staff. Quick to meet and great. Very spacious. Clean. And best of all the food is delicious!
Wonderful expirience! The food is outstanding. We had a roasted vegetable appetizer, pizza and 2 pasta dishes. The pizza is thin and light. Dont even ask about the dessert! Gelato, Tiramisu amazing.
Great food and friendly service
Absolutely delicious Italian food.
Sooooo delicious. OMG.I have not found a dish that is not delicious.😍It is a bit pricey but food is well worth paying. 🤑😉
This is my favorite Italian restaurant! We ordered the pesto gnocchi, spaghetti speck e trevigiano, mimmo pizza which has arugula, tomatoes, burrata, and prosciutto.Everything tasted good, food came out right away but I feel like our pesto gnocchi needed more pesto sauce. Their chocolate gelato was amazing, its the closest one gelato to the one I had in Pisa, Italy! Will definitely come back soon.
An unexpected treat.Ive been to Italy several times, and this contemporary restaurant is literally plucked from the side of an Autostrade (highway) in Northern Italy. Highway rest stops in Italy (aree di servizio) are nothing like the U.S., and in addition to fuel many offer light shopping (kind of like a truck stop), a snack bar that always serves espresso from machines the size of Volkswagens, and a scratch restaurant. Enter Etalian Cafe. The food here is fresh, they bake their own bread on site, have a cheese laboratory, and a medium size dessert display. For an appetizer my friend and I shared the small Emilia Salad. It was definitely more than enough for two. A medium plate of hot, perfectly grilled eggplant, zucchini, onion, yellow and red bell peppers with hand shaved Parmigiano Reggiano cheese flakes, drizzled with aged balsamic vinegar. Honestly, it easily could have sufficed as a lunch plate if you werent looking for a big lunch. For my main meal I had the Tagliata di Pollo con Verdure. When it came, I was a little concerned because apart from the chicken, it looked exactly like the Emilia Salad appetizer with chopped rosemary chicken, grilled vegetables (eggplant, zucchini, onion, yellow, and red bell peppers) with shaved Parmigiano Reggiano and an aged balsamic vinegar drizzle. Thats what I get for trying to order and chat with an old friend at the same time! BUT, the rosemary chicken completely transformed the entire plate and made it totally different. What a surprise. It was amazing how most of the exact same ingredients tasted completely different with the addition of the chicken, and as a bonus, I feel pretty good about having a large lunch of mostly vegetables. It was amazing. My friend had the lasagna, of course with home made fresh pasta, and meat sauce. He ate the whole thing, minus one bite (thats how I know it was incredible, I stole a bite before he could finish). Finally, my friend had an espresso, of course, and a few bites of my House Cake. When I go back to D.C. I will think about this desert. Its the mischievous cousin to tiramisu, with biscotti dipped in espresso and layered with cocoa, chocolate and thick white cream (probably mascarpone), with sliced almonds sprinkledon top - OMG - this alone would be worth the trip. This was as close to an Italian experience as youre going to get in the United States. The flavors will never be exactly the same as they are in Italy because the milks, cheeses, and meats taste different there overseas. But minus the variations in ingredients, this is the real deal.Dress casually and step into a contemporary Italian Autogrill hidden in an industrial building that looks like a tire warehouse from the outside. But most of all, enjoy, because the food and the atmosphere scream Italia.Bravo.
