Gardena staple. Never had anything bad there. Would order from them at least once a month h during the pandemic. Breakfast, lunch, dinner - all food comes out good.Weve mostly ordered breakfast, however. Love their specialty pancakes - particular favorites are the guava and cream. The breakfast burger is also a great choice. The chicken and waffle is also good.We have ordered their pizza a few times, and it never disappoints. Pricier than Dominos, but it really is great pizza - get what you pay for.Overall, great restaurant and I can see why they have expanded so much these past few years.
Very small place, you could easily miss it if youre not watching. Always a waiting line but it does go fast, customers are considerate & dont hang out too long. They have a good breakfast menu, thats what theyre known for but their lunch & dinner menus are nice too. Staff are considerate & attentive, its basically outside dining, and they keep the areas clean. Adhering to all regulations! Definitely we will be back!
This places is The Bomb! Always wanted to eat there for years but this past week We decided to give it a try. The best food Ever! Great service from our server. I literally cleaned the plate. Sauce just right and the crisp consistency of food superb! I may sound like a food connoisseur, all I am is a F&B supervisor that loves good food, cleanliness and great service.
Well worth the wait. Never ever disappointed. Always something fresh. Always pleasant staff. Waitress was handling a lot of tables but it was noticable. The food over compensated for the time waited.
Shrimp & grits & an Arnold Palmer. By all means this food is usually to die for. Maybe I was too early today. This is horrible.... The grits are runny ... The presentation👎🏽 this eggs in the middle of this concoction isnt it!!! My Arnold Palmer.... Neither juice was overpowering.... Its water.... Im disappointed & I paid for this. I probably wont do takeout again... But, the food is usually good here. Next time🤞🏽a breakfast plate for $16+ ... 4 shrimp ..ijs
Our waiter Anthony was 5-star fantastic! I ordered shrimp & grits & had half a waffle & a French vanilla latte. All of them were spectacular! There was some BlackBerry lemon butter on the waffle that was LEGIT delicious! I used regular smooth syrup instead of that BlackBerry syrup-**tastes good but ITS VERY GRAINY so dont just dump it on your waffle unless you cant live without grainy syrup. Highly recommend the shrimp & grits unless u dont like Cajun. It has peppers & onions & Andoule sausage! 😋😋😋 . Grits cooked to perfection! Four stars because the place needs a COMPLETE cosmetic overhaul with comfortable seating. Its looks run-down but the food is really AMAZING! Just fyi, the wait on Sunday morning was ONE HOUR & FORTY-FIVE MINUTES so if youre going on the weekend go a couple hours early & put your name on the waiting list-then go get your nails done or something while you wait. You wont be disappointed!
Parking is bad for disabled and the restaurant is small so if its crowded be prepared to wait. We were lucky we went at a time where it wasnt crowded. Theres a diverse menu and the food came pretty fast and it was tasty
The food is pretty good! Wasnt like I remembered from years ago but decent. The lemonades are expensive and taste all the same to me.
Environnent was good but not many inside seats and looked understaffed. Food was good but the Barbacoa tacos they were serving had to many onions. The pizza I ordered was a medium cheese pizza with sausage and pepperoni. The pizza was good however the cheese felt cheap for some reason but the sauce and sausage were good.
Horrible service. Deep dish pizza was a complete disappointment. A proper deep dish pizza has depth this one was thin and undercooked. The omelet had burnt bacon and was on the greassy side. I work in the industry and I know how many shortcuts are taken in order to expedite the food however we waited over an hour for mediocre pizza and half as**d eggs. This one has been the most disastrous experience in any restaurant that I have ever had. The 3 things we ordered came between 15 minutes of one another. At the end of our service the server even dropped our to go order. Do not go to this place.
Breakfast is my favorite meal, and this is my favorite breakfast spot. Cant go wrong with anything on the menu, everything Ive tried has been amazing.
There is ALWAYS a line here. Prepare to wait. Sometimes more than an hour, especially if on a weekend. Grossly inefficient.Check in with yelp to save some time.Prices here are modest. Breakfast food fanfare is a plenty here. Burritos, egg sandwiches, French toast, pancakes, omlettes and more. A nice place to dine for a lazy day. The food is good, albeit nothing extraordinary. But if youre a Breakfast junkie, you wont care 🙂Personal favorite here is the pastrami and egg sandwich.Also. The French vanilla latte was VERY disappointing for 5 bucks. Tasted like cheap latte mix from the gas station.
Had the short rib Benedict. It was very tasty though the sauce wasnt classic hollandaise (spicy herbal kick) but not bad. The wait time was about an hour but since theres not much to choose from in Gardena, we didnt mind.
The service was good. I ordered a meat lovers omelet and it comes with a side of potatoes with veggies.Everything was burnt. Not like a little burnt but black crispy ash burnt. Potatoes, meat, veggies, everything. I still ate it because I was really hungry and drowned it in tobasco sauce but otherwise would probably not come back. They were very busy because its a popular spot. This was my second time visiting The Pan but first time at this location.
Listen. Go here! The Pan was very good. I had the Cinnamon Roll Pancake 🥞 and it was really good. My reccomendation is for the the banana Pancakes. I had them as a sample. Trust me!! They are delicious. I also had a meat omelet that was really good. It was not over meaty as some are. Definitely reccomend this place!!
My new go to when Im in the area. Good variety to choose from and hearty portions.
Service was sorry at best. We were there almost 3hrs including a 1hr wait to get seated. We waited 30min for the check. For a group of 7 gratuity is always included so the server took a step back
Very nice place for a quick dinner. Reasonable prices. Adrian was our server. He was very polite and attentive.
The french toast is AMAZING! A friend of mine ordered a chicken breast and it was cooked to perfection ( and am not big on chicken breast) it was crunchy, and juicy! And the service was great!
The cinnamon roll pancakes are always top notch! My wife had the shrimp and grits they were fantastic, however, could have used more grits
I had Loaded Hash Browns for breakfast. And love them even though I couldnt eat it all. Parking is challenging BUT it is worth the challenge🎉
The food I had was pretty good. I had the short rib Benedict, which was delicious, well-seasoned, and filling. The pancakes on the other hand were dry and gross. Big disappointment. Also, our server was very inattentive. He checked in with us a single time and after we were done eating, it took almost 30 extra minutes to get the check. Service could definitely be improved. Very long wait time as well, but that’s not the restaurant’s fault. I strongly recommend using Yelp to check in and get on the waiting list before arriving to the restaurant. There’s usually at least an hour wait if you put your name on the list in person. All in all, I would definitely return to The Pan.
This was my first time. The wait was 2 hours but it was so worth it. The food was excellent. The blueberry butter on the waffles was to die for. The chicken was moist and flavorful. The loaded mash potatoes is a must have! Service was quick (once seated). Staff was polite and courteous. I will be going back!
I love love love the Pan. The only problem is...the word is out. Waiting to be served has become a bit of a challenge for someone like myself who, has little patience for lines. However, I could never thwart or undermine the staff or this establishment based on timeliness. The food is worth the wait. Your eggs will be served to perfection and fused with complimentary elemental ingredients. The pizzas extraordinary. If this chain decided to expand, IHOP would be out of business, the pancakes are a dream; wonderfully prepared delights. The burgers are Huge, 👅, and awesomely prepared. Hope you share the same experiences that I’ve had with the Pan✌️.
Food was very good. Unfortunately they were busy and took a while to get our food. Our appetizer came an hour after we sat down so we had it as dessert (Mozzarella sticks).
First time back to The Pan since lockdown has started lifting and happy to be back. The kids and I all ended up choosing breakfast options for our dinner and no one was disappointed. Food was out quick and hot and staff checked in to make sure we didnt need anything else. It wont be long before theyre handling lines out the door again Im guessing.
The wait was too long here, although the food was very good. So if you dont mind the wait, its worth it.
Superrrrrr good food.... Menu is superb. Service is great. Gotta give this spot a try, you wont regret it.
I cannot believe how much CHEESE they put on their pizzas! Its pretty amazing...Also, the lemon vanilla butter on the blueberry pancake is a flavor combination I didnt know I needed in my life until I ordered it. I hesitate to even mention it in this review because they run out on occasion. Enjoy!
The Pan is a great local breakfast joint, on the weekend though, it is very busy, highly recommend putting your name down, and doing the local shop, then coming back to eat, it was over an hour wait. Ford was very decently priced, and the staff were very friendly, funny and up for a chat. The food was really good too, they have some wonderfully fluffy pancakes and mouth watering French toast, they have a few signature dishes to try as well. Parking is limited, but there is plenty of street parking.
First time here. After a a somewhat of a long wait, typical for a popular spot, we went inside. The waitress and her shadow were very nice and friendly. The menu was pretty diverse with many options to upgrade items. The food was very good and everyone in my party had a good meal.
Ok Im being honest ...Ive been to long beach Gardena and lomita my favorite dish is the loaded hash browns ...... three times in a row I asked for sunny side up and I didnt get it so disappointed with them Gardena always got the eggs right, long beach on point Everytime ! Sorry lomita a big thumbs down 👎
Fave neighborhood brunch spot The Pan is now open for dine in - call to verify during these unpredictable times (June 2020). Check out this wedge salad! 🥗 Join the waitlist on Yelp or call in for pickup and takeout. They are maintaining social distancing so get there early because they get busy (even busier than before if you can believe it). This is the original location. Love how they’ve grown! Support your local businesses! •
Had reservations at 10 and was still waiting for food until 11:45.We decided to leave because the manager said that the owners made this restaurant a dog free environment so we had 2 shedding dogs with their owners clothes full of hair all on their clothes. Dog hair was floating around and landed on my sisters hash browns .My family love dogs also but there should be a location for people with dogs to seat like towards the back because everybody might not want to be around shedding, barking and drooling dogs while they eat(unsanitary) The owners need to revisit their dog ideas because they lost $200 from us.We tip the very nice waiter and left. This is not acceptable. WE WAITED OVER 2 HRS AFTER RESERVATIONS AND HAD 2 SHEDDING DOGS NEXT TO US WHILE WE EAT🤔🤔😬😬😬
I had the loaded potatoes and lemon pancakes. Absolutely amazing Ill definitely be back. The staff was great also. Definitely worth the wait.
Really good breakfast platter & pancakes! Overall rating outstanding
1st time visiting The Pan... Pros before the cons: The food was delicious, coffee was also enjoyable, free refills! Waiters were friendly, helpful and cheerful. Seating was cozy, but if you are seated in the corner closest to western the seating is rather too close. The only con is the waiting time. Definitely worth the wait but wouldnt recommend when you want a quick bite.
Good food. Nice service but long wait.
Food was delicious and worth the hour wait but it was a little on the cold side.
This was our first time and we did not like it as much as we hear from our friends & families. The pastrami fries was like with burnt bacon hits no pastrami. The fish tacos were so plain no spécial flavors. The cheese pizza was a little burnt. The Bbq chicken pizza was ok but wish it had more chicken. Loved the size of chicken wings but not the flavors so much.
Hidden hip restaurant with a great array of breakfast items. Inside you’ll find a cozy modern style decor. The food compliments the aesthetics. Granted, I only got the blueberry pancakes but judging from that it’s a bet everything else is up to par. Limited parking and expect to wait (get there before 10).
Because the restaurant is so small it makes the wait seems longer, but considering, they pump it the food and try to get tables open asap. There is a small, packed inside seating area, and a bit more outside seating. Everything here is delicious and worth a try. This location seems to not offer alcoholic drinks but the coffees and lattes are super tasty.
Have to get the loaded hash browns with green online. Wide variety of pancakes as well. Right off freeways
I had a craving for pan cakes.. my son suggested The Pan.. the raspberry pancakes was delicious! I ordered those in substitute of the 3 regular buttermilk that came with my breakfast I ordered and was giving only 2.. Nonetheless I enjoyed the food. Great place no long wait time for your food. I love it!
Prime food, will fix all Your problems .... Loaded Hashbrowns and a Berry Smoothy and theres SO Much more 💎🌠Jus GO -n- feed Your face 😎
Our experience was not the greatest food is good but if you want to go a weekend dont. Usually will take about an hour to two to get a table and after you are seated it will take one more hour to get your food. In my opinion there should be a limit to do take out for the weekend because the kitchen can not handle the capacity of demand so its dine in or take out you choose .
Fun local spot with a great menu and service. Expect a line.
My boyfriend loves breakfast food runny eggs and all how can he do it, I do not know, but breakfast food is his go to everyday all day. We tried Pans via my suggestion. The food was amazing! Knowing that Pans is known for its pizza I wanted to try that too. To me the pizza tasted like a perfectly cooked DiGiorno pizza so I would probably skip the pizza next time I go, but the BREAKFAST FOOD was astonishing. Go you will not be disappointed!
A Delightful surprise, my family and I each enjoyed every bite, cant wait to return Thank You
Great service. Tasty food and clean and neat place. Can recommend highly. All foreign and imported liquors are available. Great choice of cocktails as well. They also serve a super lunch where you can select a variety of Sri Lankan curries with white or brown rice or a Chinese or Indian style option.
Always have an amazing visit here...great food and great service i will always choose this place
1 star is even too much to give. Lousy customer service all around. Wont be going there again. Horrible 1st experience!
They have never disappointed me this is always my breakfast go to spot
We just came to LA from SF on the morning flight, took our Turo car and searched for a good place to eat nearbyFound this amazing restaurant called “The Pan” half hour waiting line for the breakfast seemed exciting alreadyWe put our names on the waitlist on the tablet outside the door and waitedThe guy called out my name and was very interactive and happy go lucky guyWe sat down and it already felt like a place we lovedDon’t forget to try the buttermilk chicken with scrambled eggs . You wont be disappointed
Taz introduced me to the Pan.She knows my taste. And I onlyeat at the best spots.✌🏾
Ok food but not worth the hour plus wait. They need to get more organized with how they sit people.
This place was an awesome little breakfast spot. We went on Sunday morning at about 9:00. It was pretty busy. Too much later and we probably would have had a 30 minute wait. Food was good though. And not too expensive. 8 bucks for pancakes. I got the strawberry pancakes and my wife got the blueberry both were awesome.
Waited 1 hour for my food when they said 20 min. Got my food and drove home to find out they gave me 2 pieces of white bread instead of French toast. So I had to go back and get my French toast. Now my food cold smh. I’m a weekly customer this the first time this happen
I Love this place ❤. One of my favorite restaurants. Its always delicious 😋
Finally got to try this place out :) It was quite a wait today which means it is a popular place everyone wants to be at for brunch or lunch. I was thankful that they offered outside dine in in the patio area. Placed waitlist at 11:45, arrived at 12:15, got seated at 1:00pm and got our food at 1:22pm. But the food was worth the wait :)) They make it by the order so it was so fresh and delicious when we received the food. I got the veggies omelete with fresh fruits which was really goood, but the toast was a bit dry and the blueberries were a bit mushy and not firm sadly. Other than that everything was perfect :) The servers were nice and kind. I really want to return to try the deep dish pizza here. Next time Ill place my waitlist an hour in advance hehe
A great spot for breakfast. Small but worth the wait. They have a nice variety and nice chit chat spot.
Now I was highly disappointed in this location. Ive gone to the long beach location and 5 🌟 across the board. But the food in the Gardena location was horrible. We ordered take out. Food was burnt. As well as took an while to receive our food more than 30 min. Parking is not the best . But the servers and host were extremely polite and inviting. Just sucks that the food did not match the service 😒
What an amazing experience. The food was delicious, but it was the service that made it. I had the buttermilk chicken breakfast with red pepper gravy. It was a layered delight, with two eggs the way you want on top, the fried chicken breast in the middle, and then lastly, a nice pancake underneath to soak up all the goodness. Tasty!!! A must try if youre going. Have the house potatoes too. Delish!
My family and boyfriend love coming here for breakfast. I always try different specialty pancakes meanwhile my boyfriend absolutely loves the Loaded Hash Browns! My mom loves Lucky’s Clucky and I love it as well! Bottomless Coffee my fave! 1000000/10. Wait is a tad bit long so I suggest you Yelp reserve a space but definitely worth it. Pictured below: Luckys Clucky, side of chili cheese fries, loaded hash browns and specialty pancake (forgot which one) and a side of bacon.
The best pancakes I had in long time
