So disappointed! The birds are not chirping sweetly to each other but are lined up looking DOWN ready to attack the sleeping occupant like a Hitchcock horror film! The birds should be set at angles (as shown on the website) not to the whim of a clearly uninspired welder. $900 for just the headboard 😩 How did this pass QC?

My Wife and I bought a King Pasadena a few months back.I can not say enough about how much we love this bed.Very good craftsmanship - has a vet vintagey lok and feel to it :)

I found the Benicia Iron Works website recently and was amazed at all the varieties of bed frames there were. I had a question about getting the Heritage in dark brass finish. I gave them a call. I think the woman I spoke with was named Cherise, but she was very helpful, and answered all my questions. I was able to order with confidence. I LOVE my bed!!! It is beautiful.

So I bought a bed. I asked them to hold it until I finished painting the room it was going in. They said they were fine with doing so, that customers often left things for months until they were picked up. However, they called me every week or two to ask when I was picking up my bed. I was finally able to get it delivered and when the delivery company I hired showed up to load it they did not have the whole bed. They had neglected to make the box spring frame. They assured me it would be delivered the next day. I explained I was having a mattress delivered in two days. They said not problem. It has been two days that I have been waiting for it to be delivered. I cant get anyone to return my calls or emails from the store. I find them to be incredible irresponsible. I would not recommend them to anyone. I just hope that I get the missing box spring piece so I can assemble my bed

How do these people stay in business? Insanely rude and lazy. They have an attitude problem because the feel people are already sold on their products before they even get to their store. I ended up spending $3,190 at Stone County Ironworks instead.

I’m unsure how a company that prides itself on manufacturing quality products can be so clueless when it comes to customer service. Before I made my $1,000 purchase, I emailed Benicia and inquired if there were any upcoming promotions or sales. I received a short reply informing me that nothing was planned, free shipping is all they offered. Based on that reply, I purchased the iron bed I wanted on their website.48 hours after the bed arrived, I received a targeted email for 30% off all iron beds. This promo reflected a significant reduction in price from what I paid. This 30% off sale was also prominently posted on their website.I emailed again and asked for the sale price to be applied to my order considering how recent I made my purchase. After 4 days without a reply, I asked again and received a brief reply that said “we run sales all the time” and claimed they never adjust sales after they are completed. No signature on the reply so I have no idea if I was talking to someone that actually cares about customers or not.I replied again indicating this was not acceptable, stated my case and asked for another reply. Mind you, I was very polite in all correspondences. No response whatsoever.I hope they are pleased with the additional funds they pocketed as it certainly is not going to get them any referrals or additional purchases from me. If I can steer one person away from purchasing from them, it will cost them more than the money they refused to refund to me.In summary, if you plan to purchase from Benicia, wait for a sale as they “have them all the time.” Do not make the mistake I made by trusting their customer service rep and paying full price! Also, please note they have no return policy posted on their website. Good luck with that nightmare scenario if you ever need to return or exchange anything.

Just set up my bed from these guys - a queen pasadenaVery high quality - especially the rail system. Very Stable and secure.I can not say enough of how well we we treated by this company.Way better than buying imported junk from china

Conflicting statements on workmanship and original construction defects remain unresolved. I cant in good faith recommend giving business to companies that fail to level set warranty coverage between sales staff and company ownership. The company appears to lack the integrity and accountability that their policies claim.

I have a bed and side tables from Benicia Foundry & iron works that was built over 20 years ago, that is now falling apart...but is pretty nice looking, so I thought Id get a new one.Bad idea! Quality is much poorer than much less expensive beds and the customer service is horrible.How this once proud company is still in business is puzzling to say the leastSorry

We purchased the Homewood Iron Bed with eight birds perched on the top rail of the headboard. The quality of the bed is exceptional and handcrafted in the USA. It delivered free from CA to a small northern Michigan location seamlessly and without damage. The headboard came with a king frame which we did not use because our bed frame lined up perfectly with the headboard pre-drilled holes.

The specific location seems to no longer be in business.

Im not sure about the quality of the product because I have not received the bed I ordered a month ago. I will tell you that you should wait to order anything until there is a sale. I ordered my bed, then they sent out an email for 30 percent off. I contacted them and although I had ordered the bed several weeks earlier and it had still not been shipped, they would not take the 30 percent off. They just ignored that question. They told me that my bed had not yet shipped. No explanation or apology. Now, i just learned that they apparently have shipped my bed to Idaho. I do not live in Idaho. I live on the east coast. Customer service is terrible.

I have 2 Iron Beds a daybed and a bistro set from Benicia Foundry & Iron Works. One of the beds is over 20 years old. Very nice work !Thanks Benicia !

I ordered the Passero iron bed thru Humble Abode. The bed is beautiful however it arrived with a flaw on the top rail of the bed right between birds one and two. It appears to be a drip of welding rod metal which was painted over. I contacted Humble Abode and they contacted Benicia who said no two beds were alike since they are handcrafted. They would not resolve the problem so I guess Ill just live with it. Poor quality control on their part. Check your purchase over carefully.

Sales person was rude and preferred to be texting on his smartphone than make a sale. I was looking to make a purchase of about $1,200 but decided to take my business elsewhere.
