Had 615pm appt for booster. At 630pm the 6 pm person asked why the 645pm and 630pm persons went next. I said I would contact Walgreen headquarters and she said fine go ahead. Finally at 7pm I had my booster because she realized she turned paperwork up side down when we checked in. They blamed it on understaffed but I call it poor management. They thought it was a big joke. Nothing will happen but at least I got to tell what happened. Slowest walgreens around. This is the Gardiner Maine store. Best of luck.
Why are there so many bad reviews? Cause if you live between Brunswick, Gardiner and wiscasset this is your closest Walgreens. There are only two registers at the pharmacy, usually only one is staffed. Then there is a single drive thru lane. Hey Walgreens Régional: you need to increase Rx capacity here. Period. The problem people have is they want:1. Their prescription.2. A Covid test3. A Covid/flu vaccine. And they’re all queuing through the same three pathways with limited staff. And the staff is not up to capacity to handle any of this. So we all complain. Then there is a 30 minute break in the middle of the day and boy can I tell you at 12 there is a rush of people trying to get their rx/vaccine/test all at the same time before the lunch break. Basically there is no good reason AUGUSTA has like THREE Walgreens and this area has one that is understaffed. They know how to fix it but they won’t invest. So please keep complaining. Better yet take your prescription elsewhere and that will make the regional heads notice.
Been trying to get a prescription filled for three days now. First time I called it in I was told it would be done around 10am the next day and I could pick it up anytime after that. So I go around 5:30pm to get it and am told that it’s not ready yet. Not a big deal I’ll just pick it up tomorrow. Tomorrow comes around and it’s still not ready. Slightly more irritating but not the end of the world. Finally I go through the drive through to pick it up this morning before work and....it’s still not fully ready. The pharmacist needs to still look it over and she’s giving someone a covid vaccine so they can’t tell me how long it’ll be before I can finally get my prescription. I’m told to circle around the building every time a new car comes up behind me so they can help them and come back to check and see if the pharmacist was finally able to look at my prescription. I ended up just leaving because I was already late for work. I still have no prescription, was called and told that it is finally ready so maybe I will actually be able to get it after work. Overall the woman I dealt with was very rude and kept making excuses. I completely understand being backed up, but it shouldn’t take someone three days to get there prescription.
Edited: Google asked me to change my Review to be more *user friendly* The management here lacks, i am not sure whats going on but i cant suggest talking to anyone here, way too much sass, better off just going elsewhere. Old Rite-aid was better all around.
The challenges people face with a mental health condition a hard enough. Having poorly trained staff who lack sensitivity/training/empathy are an additional challenge people should NOT have to face. There have been multiple occurrences of inappropriate customer service related to getting prescriptions filled. If you have a monthly prescription need, Id steer clear of here. It is sad that people who call to politely ask questions about their prescription are met with un-provoked hostility (on multiple occurrences in the last 3 months). Walgreens I urge you to take a look at the phone conversations your employees have with clients who have prescription here and PLEASE get your staff better trained. Extremely disappointed.
So now walgreen is doing vaccine which is fine but people are waiting in one line to pick up prescription and checking in for vaccine. There should be a designated area for the vaccine shots. It was just not organized and waiting was just unacceptable! And drive thru was even worse.
Very slow and disorganized. Had appointment at 12:40pm and did not get in until 45 minutes later. This is about the pharmacy.
Waited more than 1 hour after getting appointment for COVID vaccine
Terrible service, never get my prescriptions right and the final straw waiting forever at the drive up window for my prescription so they can do covid test. They are putting profits first and there customers health and happiness second, people trying to pick up meds now have to use the same pickup window for the covid test it’s dangerous and shows that they don’t care about the customers. I switched pharmacies and will never spend another cent in any Walgreens stores ever again.
Excellent service. They had a prescription that I needed. I called and even though I showed up earlier than expected, they took the time and had it ready for me within minutes. They have come through for me before and I recommend them.
What a nasty attitude from the Managers!
Would literally leave negative 5 star rating if possible, I have had nothing but problems since they took over RiteAid. Happily moved on to another Pharmacy.
Not impressed by this pharmacy! Spent 35 minutes on hold today for a simple fix... I miss Rite-Aid... who actually used to answer the phone...
I ran into some of the problems as others. I moved all prescriptions to Hannaford as Im going to be there anyway. Hannaford does not have a drive up window but....they told me where to park and to call them when I got there. Then then delivered to my car. And...my prescriptions were right!
The store workers are nice enough but the pharmacy has really gone down hill. I miss the old pharmacist. He worked there for years, was always kind and helpful. The new crew lost my prescription, and then said they never got it. They should review their cameras and they will see the day I handed it to the girl. I even remember asking her questions about it.
Waited on hold for 45mins, as 1st caller waiting only to hear a click and get hung up on when apparently they tried to answer ?! This is the 4th time Ive tried calling and waited longer than 30 minutes. Rediculous!!! I miss Rite Aid too, Im switching... Not wasting my time anymore.
Spoke to 2 Pharmacists here. Both very knowledgeable. What a nice store. Glad it is here. Thanx, Jeff
First, I want to preface this by stating this is not a review about the store employees, but the pharmacy itself. Its highly likely the other reviews are not exaggerated. At all.Im a medical professional and have had to contact this pharmacy frequently, for the last 10 years, regarding patient prescriptions. I dread having to call now, and hope and pray its Mr. Pharmacist that answers my call and not Ms. Pharmacist. The first few interactions with her, I gave her the benefit of the doubt - maybe I misheard her, maybe she was having a tough day. Today, was the worst, an no question of imagining it. When inquiring about a prescription equivalent that would be more affordable for a patient, she looked up the info and stated Its only $31......$31 is too expensive? Her tone was one of incredulity - as if the patient should not have an issue with the price. I was taken back by her attitude and called her on it. Of course, she scrambled and stated she was asking me a question, as if repeating it back to me. I know what I heard - the tone she took, it was not a question for clarification. This was it for me, and I spoke with my manager who also has had the displeasure of dealing with Ms. Pharmacist and her unprofessional attitude. In sharing my encounter, two other coworkers also have had similar encounters with her. Wondering if there would be anything online for reviews, I look.....and behold! Several patients have also suffered her rudeness.I just want to say, Ive called on multiple other occasions in the last few months, and have interacted with Mr. Pharmacist - he is polite and very helpful, is not condescending or come off as if hes put out by my call. Yes, the previous pharmacist, Saliesh, was a peach. Always polite and helpful, even on days I could tell he was busy and feeling stressed. Not once was he ever rude. We miss him very much.
This is the worst pharmacy that I have ever dealt with. They are rude, unhelpful, and lazy. They never make any attempt to solve a problem, and when confronted about problems that I was having, they told me to go somewhere else. You dont have to tell me twice. Unbelievable. The regional manager was supposed to call me, and I never heard back from him. I have moved on to the CVS inside of Target (Augusta) and they are great.
First of all on behave of the employees located in the pharmacy Dept. Im genuinely concerned about the accuracy from the negative reviews that appear to be nothing less than inappropriate and rude! pharmacy are very kind and efficient when it comes to quality service and accuracy! I have been using this Pharmacy for a few years now and I have never witnessed or observed any misconduct of professionalism nor have I witnessed any consumer treated/interact any less than my own friendly and helpful personal experiences! Quite honestly, Im very disturbed after reading such hateful reviews and Im quite appalled to say the least and its definitely degrading and undermining to the high level of compassion and hard work each and every staff deliver to all of there consumers on a professional and compassionate platform that should never be underdimised because of 1 experience that may have been avoided through communication! Im always offered advice and given the opportunity to ask questions relating to the medication Im receiving in a very professional, friendly and timley manner! Everyone including myself are always given the opportunity to ask any questions or express any concerns!
13 month old daughter is very ill, called in a medication stopped by 30 minutes later and they told me it wasnt ready come back in two hours. Ok fine. I call two and a half hours later and they havent even touched it. They say they have no information on her and we should have filled out that paperwork when we were there the first time. Yet no one says any of this to me when i stopped by. The incompetence of their employees is outrageous. As if this is McDonalds or something stupid, like my daughters life is such a non issue they cant be bothered to do their jobs properly.
Pharmacy ALWAYS loses prescriptions faxed, emailed or called in. Then blame it on providers. 3 different providers cant always be wrong. Switched to Hannaford within walking distance and have not had this issue at all. Sad when the grocery store does a better job than a pharmacy whose main job is meds. Also if you stay, count your meds and make sure numbers match, infamous for shorting. Store is expensive, but usually has what youre looking for. I hope Walgreens take over fixes this, but I lack confidence.
All the pharmacy staff is very knowledgeable and eager to assist
The wait is horrible since the switch. I called about one of my husbands prescriptions, they filled the wrong one when I got there. And when I called back they said I had already picked up the one I called about the day before. Needless to say, we are filling his prescriptions elsewhere.
On hold for longer than 30 minutes... They dont give me all presciptions so I have to keep going back. They mess up my medications... Rite Aid come back
Friendly staff.
