As a truck driver time is money so I called to verify receiving hrs and give notice that I would be delivering product to them. I was told they would unload 8a-8p. I informed them I would be arriving by 7p upon arrival I was told give them a min then @ 730 I was told I would have to return 12hrs later to be unloaded!! This cost me time in turn costing me money and is exactly the reason I placed the phone call prior to arrival. So drivers beware of what they tell you because it might not be the truth!!

5 % military discount on Tuesdays! Cute little baby chicks and the gentleman got one out for my boys to hold...which they loved! Also found an interesting sticker which seems oddly worded. Came for prices on seed for our pasture and we determined Tractor Supply has a similar product at the same weight for $10 less. Also, the baby chicks range in price around $3.50 to $3.89 each which seems higher than in the past. Didnt buy the chicks or the seed.

A little bit of everything for sale. Most things a farm might need from day to day. Decent selections of plants for landscaping and garden. Nearly complete power tool selections from DeWalt and Milwaukee. Work-wear from Carhartt and others. Grilling gear and local flare too... And! Good prices on near everything.

Was met at the door essentially by a manager or very professional staff member and was immediately and intelligently assisted in my purchase. Great customer service!! The store is clean, and well stocked. I go there to buy my dog food, and treats. Their prices are comparable, if not a lil lower than the name brand pet stores. They have a good assortment of brands. They allow my puppy, who is a boxer mix, so a big lil boy of 9 months old, go into the store. He loves it. He knows what we go in there for, itso cool. Happy pup, happy mom. Id return, definitely.

Duane the old man cashier needs training on people who are medical exempt from the mask. I am handicapped, I keep minimum 6ft from everyone I see and will wait for a crowded area to become empty before I enter. I know the mandate inside and out. My doctor and I have sat and made a plan that keeps me safe when I need to enter a building. Duane felt the need to pry and ask if I should be driving in regards to my handicap since I am unable to wear a mask. I do not deserve this kind of treatment and unfortunately is becoming all to common.

Prices do not ring up at the prices posted by items in the store.

I called ahead to ensure that the filter I needed was there. Made the trip and it was there just like they said. Ive had trouble with other businesses (gardner wal mart) telling me something was in stock, driving 20 minutes to just be disappointed and have to drive more. Thank you Orscheln!

Jake, the store manager:He is absolutely amazing. We needed 16 bales of straw for our dogs and he not only met us out back to load them all but also helped us tie them down correctly. He was very polite, yes sir no sir, took the time to listen to us talk about dogs (like dog parents do) and was incredibly helpful.

They have a little of everything. Always have what I am looking for. If you cant find it just ask their great helpful staff.

A very nice store with good employees. I knock them off a half of a star because when an employee asked what I was looking for they point over in the general direction of the tool section. It would have been nice if they had taken the 10 seconds to walk over and show me the item I was looking for.

They have our dog food that we feed our Great Danes. Its a little bit of a drive but for the quality, its worth it.

Im so happy I found out about their refrigerated ready to go dog and puppy vaccinations! I saved hundreds of dollars administering it myself, rather than pay a hundred here and there as well as taking the time out of my day to go to the vet and have him/her stress my puppy out. The 5-way vaccination for puppies is $6-7.99 at most locations. The adult dog vaccine is even cheaper. The instructions are simple and it just takes a minute.

Its a country store with minimal hunting stuff. Pretty good place. Buy feed there all the time but they lack special feed. Good place for town folk to buy gardening supplies.

My Boyfriend called to ask a question on their smokers, and the person who answered said they couldnt go look to see what Smokers were on sale right now, because they were swamped with customers. So we drove to the Store, about 15 minutes away, and when we got there. Only one customer, and only saw one employee, at the register. The smokers were right up front, near a phone. So most likely the guy on the phone lied to us about being swamped with customers!!! Either that or he doesnt know the definition!!!. Very disappointed on their customer service, and not a fan of being lied too. Why not just say, Im too lazy to walk 5 feet and tell you if we have the Smokers on sale or not. But really, you should know that without going to look, specially, because they are only 5 feet from the register!!! 😡😡😡😡

Carries items useful for livestock, out of doors, country living and items the big box stores doesnt carry.

I like the rural feel of Orscheln. I am not a rancher or farmer so some of the items arent for me. I would say watch for deals here as you might find useful items on sale. I bought my son a nice fan for a fair price.

This store in Gardner has to be one of the worst of this type of stores that I shop. The staff/cashiers are either nowhere to be found, or standing around in clutches goofing off. They are either sad or depressed and are totally disengaged in their jobs every time I have been there.The only helpful and kind people I have interacted with have been the older, retired Gentleman working there. They often seem frustrated, as I have observed they seem to be the only ones really working, and i certainly cant blame them.This was my last visit to this store. I will take a trip to Olathe and go to Tractor Supply with my consumer dollars.

I love Orscheln, it makes its primary competition look terrible, the prices are good, and very seldom do they not have what I need for my farm, the other place gets some of my business, when I cant get to Orscheln.

Great place to stop if you need dog food, dog treats. They have the best prices on dog treats (bones, toys, etc) than anywhere, a few bucks higher on dog food than you can get online but thats yo be expected. They do carry some high premium dog foods yoo, like Merrick, which you cant get anywhere around here retail. Checkers and floor staff are friendly and always giving out coupons for items, if they can. They have a few food items and their clothes are cute, a little high but when on sale usually a steal, you just have to wait for it.

Great place stop by for a free items. All sorts of hardware, home and farm goods, and Western wear clothing. However prices can sometime be that of a town that is 100 miles away from any other farm and home store. They are in the building the very first Walmart in town was in. Prior to that it was a Pamida store. But they havent learned Sam Waltons secret to earning more buy selling for less.

It had the feed I needed saved me time and distance on a snowy day than going to normal spot which has same feed same price but theres are 50 pound bags which buying in large amounts 10 pounds per bag adds up I get 15 plus bags at a time

They have such nice outerwear for the entire family and the cutest farm toys for my little ones!!
