Don’t buy car from here they so rude they don’t know how to talk customer. They don’t give good service… once he sale car then they lie after that… so please before you ge there think twice

I was sold a car that doesnt past inspection. I brought it to another mechanic the day after buying it and was told it would take 10,000 to make it legal on the road. I relayed this information to this dealer who continued to tell me these were old reports and I did not understand the reports. Because I am a woman I belittled and treated as if I wasnt aware of the issues with my car or understand how to read the mechanics paperwork. I was told originally their mechanic has looked at the car but if that was the case they would of seen that the car would not past inspection. Do not buy cars from here, they are quick to make a deal but the second their is a problem they get unkind and frustrated very quickly.

Payless Auto Sales should be avoided. They sell cars that will not pass inspection. They belittle and ridicule woman. The sales ppl yell often and are quick to anger. RUN RUN RUN AWAY I wish there was 0 stars to give cause that would of been my first pick his place is the worst dealership in Garfield N.J Les and Lou sold me a 2011 BMW a few days later the belt broke I was unable to drive it had to get it fix out of pocket and bring it back to this shady dealer ship requesting my down-payment of 2,000. Les said he will send it next day air once the police was called he also sent me a text message that on May 6 that I will get my check still no check now I have to file in NJ small claim court for 3,000. They cars are from the auction the only good thing I have are the messages and police report to go ahead with my claim.

These guys are pretty ok. Bought a car that had some problems, took a while to set things right, but they hung in with us and made good on the repairs.Thats a lot these days. Thanks guys.

DISHONEST AND DECEITFUL.Heres how this works. Lou and Les assure you that the car theyre selling has been inspected and is good to go. They tell you that you have a 90 day warranty for the engine and power train.What they dont tell you is that the car has extensive problems with the suspension and electrical systems that will cost you thousands of dollars to fix. Because thats not technically on the warranty.Within five days of getting the car, we had to replace the belt, the alternator, both sets of shocks and struts and the brake/power steering fluid had to be replaced. Among others things.THEY ARE LIARS. They will tell you that you wont have any problems.THEY ARE LYING TO YOU.DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THIS PLACE.

Scheduled a test drive and when I arrived the car had a flat tire and was missing a part in the engine so I couldnt try it. The guy that was there didnt know anything I was coming and he said there were many people on the waiting list on that car. Very sketchy place!

Do NOT waste your money here! These people are con artists. I would give 0 stars if possible.My husband and I bought an 03 Subaru here on 10/31. Below is a list of SOME of the issues we had with Payless Auto Wholesale. I really wanted to be happy with my experience. Lou started off as extremely helpful and willing to work with us.-Lou assured us Payless buys all their subarus from a Subaru Dealer in Jersey City. I bought the Carfax myself since Payless does not offer them. The carfax says the car car bought at auction in New York. When confronted with this info, Les showed us the titles for purchase of the car. He bought it in Paterson, NJ, and it wasnt from a Subaru dealer. (I still took the risk because thr carfax showed routine maintenance.)-I recommend you research the 3rd Party Warranty they offer before paying $300 for it.-Got the car 30 miles after leaving Payless before having an issue. The coolant reservoir was bubbling and the engine bay was splattered with coolant. Lou and Les gave me and my husband the run around. We called Payless to tell them of our issues. No one would talk to my husband since the purchase was in my name. First, Lou wasnt in the office. Then Lou needed to talk to his manager, who was sick. Then the manager wasnt in yet. Every time Lou promised to call me back and never did. After I kept calling and calling over thr span of 3 days I got in touch with Les, who told me I didnt know what I was talking about and the head gaskets on the car were fine. I should have been able to make it HOME with my vehicle before the issues started.-Had the car towed to a mechanic, who confirmed blown head gaskets. The Subaru also needed a new clutch and timing belt. $2,000+ in repairs.Avoid this joke of a business at all costs.Edited on 11/23 to add that after all this time I still have no answers from this place. They keep saying they will call me back to discuss them helping me out since I didnt even get the car home before having issues. No one ever calls back. All communication has been initiated by ME calling them.

We were helped immediately by Les the GM. He answered all our questions and had the information at the top of his head. Offered a test drive and everything was smooth. Alothough we decided not to take the warranty on it, he still gave us an amazing deal. I definitely recommend going to them for a vehicle. Yes they have a lot of miles but that’s what used cars are. You pay for what you get.

Very typical buy here, pay here place. Sales manager was trying to hide negative history about the car. He was also pretty rude (taking phone calls in the middle of our conversation, trying to insinuate we dont know what were talking about, etc.). Ended up going across the street to MJ Traders across the street and had a much more pleasant experience.

100% approval financing. Low payments! My mechanic came with me to look at and test drive the 2012 Subaru Forester 5 speed after I saw it online. We drove it and I knew that is what I wanted! The Subarus Big Lou gets come DIRECTLY from the dealer!! I will be coming back here next spring when my daughter needs a newer car!

The process was a breeze, didn’t play any games what so ever, all of the staff were friendly and informative, I would do business with them again.Edit: Employees were friendly and the transaction was straight forward. If my credit was better I would’ve went to another place but my options were limited due to that. What I didn’t like was them jacking up the price by $700 on the invoice that contradicts the price you see online. I didn’t notice until after the transaction, that was my fault for not confirming the online price before hand. They tend to lie too, even tho I saw right through it. Little things that needed repair with the car, I just fixed myself, thankfully they were minor & inexpensive fixes.

My luck though somebody hit my car the first week I had it, and when I went to pick up my plates and registration these guys ordered the parts I needed to replace my bumper for 1/3 the price the body shop wanted and I didnt even have to ask they were too happy to help. I hardly ever give reviews, but I had to for Payless Auto. Luis “Big Lou” took care of me from the moment I walked in. I did not feel pressured into buying anything nor did I feel that I was being lied to by him or any other colleagues. Unbelievable service. I traveled approximately 90 miles to purchase this vehicle, not knowing what would happen... taking a chance to see if I would like the vehicle or not. When I got there everyone was at front and center waiting for me to show up at 10 AM in the morning ...they gave me the opportunity to review the vehicle without pressure ...it was raining ..they offered me a umbrella and rag... gave me all the time that I needed to inspect the vehicle without pressure.. ...unbelievable service.... what really blew my mind is when they put the vehicle on a diagnostic machine and told me as well as showed me that theres nothing wrong with the vehicle. Now who does that?!?!? Not to mention ...I got a warranty with the vehicle. Thats unheard of. I can go on and on and on but google is not going to allow me the space to keep leaving my review. What a difference the right dealership makes. My wife and I were sick and tired (exhausted!) of the hard sell/up sell from other used car dealers. The guys at Payless let us wander the lot, ask a ton of questions and change our mind about what we wanted. No pressure and lots of patience. I bet that must of these reviews are fake. Anyways! Me and my boy stopped there, I saw the sign and they had a car I was looking for my cousin. To make story short, the guy saw that we knew about cars, he didnt even care about showing us the vehicle, the car had rust, needed tires, breaks... and well overpriced!!! The guy kept playing with his phone, basically we were no body for him. Then he got the audacity of saying that their banks wouldnt finance me, for the car was a 2006 with less than 100k!!! What a racial profiling was that???? (Im a F&I, for the record) dont talk to me about what bank would approved me or not. This Spanish little dark skin dude. That I didnt even bother asking for his name, my boy and I just ignored him and left. No need to waste my time arguing with such of scumbag. IF ANYONE IS READING THIS, before even thinking about stopping at this place, check the car and the value of it. My best suggestion is DONT WASTE YOUR TIME... If they cant make money on you!!! They dont want you there. Simple as that.
