Head resurfaced quickly and now my s10 is running.

Kim is short on words, but long on experience and knowledge! We trust him and have received great work from him rebuilding, machining, and dynoing our engine. He has a spotless shop and does what he sais he will. While many experienced engine builders use him for thier machine work, he will also help the inexperienced engine builders.

I brought a set of LS3 heads to this shop to get ported and to have bigger valves installed. I received the heads back and was told they were hand ported and the valves had been upgraded. I brought the heads to a friend of mine to get my intake port matched. Upon inspection of the heads he showed me that the porting had been done by a CNC machine. Not a big deal but I was lied to. The valves are still stock valves, so I again was lied to. 3 of the valves would not seal either. I called and tried to get them fixed and was told to show up any day. I drove 45 minutes on way to find a locked door and no one answering the phone.I highly recommend not going to this shop after my experience.

Ive had motors built by Kim since the early nineties. And I can honestly say. He builds one hell of a motor. Im the weekday, weekend and any other kind of race warrior. I keep my foot in everything I drive. And his motors last. Just change the oil, keep them as tuned as you know how. And enjoy the heck out of it.Shankle, Dallas,Tx

This is a top notch machine shop, form mild to wild, Kim Barr is the best around. Engine dyno along with the latest equipment in house. Three guys do all the work, and these guys have many years of experience. Dont waste your time and money going somewhere else.. YOU want top notch, this is the place. I know, I run my own shop with the most demanding customers and I having been using Kim Barr Racing for over 30 years.

Been knowing Kim Barr for many of years and he’s built a few motors for me. Totally satisfied with each and every one of them. Matter of fact, I was actually at his shop today gearing up for him to build me a LS3.

Kim Barr is awesome! He put a 454 in my pop’s 77 C10 Silverado and this thing runs like a monster. Feels wayyyy better than the 427 we had in there! He slapped a “Kim Barr” sticker on the engine so I had to google him up! Great service, great work!
