MAN I TELL YOU WHAT.... In all 39 years of my life i have never experienced the professionalism of what this transmission shop has showed me! I dont even know where to start..... My suv was all the way out in Prosper when my transmission went out on me. My wife called these guys and they were there with a flat bed within two hours. The next business day i got a call and i believe it was Mike that told me the problem, the cost and the estimated repair time. Then i get a call two days before the est. time telling me my expedition was ready to go! There financing is grest also even though i didnt qualifie for it..... And im sure that they will work something out with me...... Thank you A-1!

Dropped my 2016 sierra for its transmission fluid change. They did a great job. I was able to drop my truck off and drive another car so in terms of speedy service i cant really comment. I dropped off my truck in the afternoon and it was ready by 10am the next day. Ima come here for its next fluid change again

I had 2 mechanics look at my 2002 Honda. My regular mechanic actually told me to take it to a transmission shop because they don’t do transmissions. He would have subbed out the work. I appreciate his honesty. When I called A-1 the very helpful lady told me that I might not even need any transmission work but they would properly diagnose it for free and tell me the truth about what’s going on. They checked everything and determined that I needed to have all the fluid drained and replaced, along with a new filter. My son picked up the car this morning and told me it runs smoother now then when we bought over 2 yrs ago. $90 charge! I’m a very thankful customer. I will recommend them to anyone who needs their expertise. Thanks A-1!

My wifes car was towed to this shop from another mechanic shop that recommended A-1. They thoroughly checked her AWD vehicle out and easily could have charged me for work that was not needed.Instead, they were honest with us and told us it was not the transmission slipping but only an issue that the other mechanic shop overlooked.They didnt even charge me for the time they spent with my wifes vehicle. The only cost they had me pay was for the tow to the shop, which they gave me their price ($60.)I worked in a mechanic shop in my younger days and know this type of integrity is nearly impossible to find. I highly recommend A-1 and will most definitely send my vehicles and anyone I know with transmission issues to this shop.Take your vehicle here with confidence you will be treated fairly and the job will be done correctly.

Transmission seems to be fixed well***EDITED REVIEW 11.08.18Almost a year after my rebuild, my check engine light came on. I panicked, they didnt. I FINALLY met the enchanting front desk lady I read so much about and it was majikal! She was a bright delight in the situation. I was instructed to leave my car that morning and by 4:30 that afternoon, I got a call to go fetch my wagon. Wasnt able till next morning. Staff was cheery and pleasant and there was no charge for the slight mechanical issue dealing with the gear shift reading which gear position. No charge... which I was sweating due to it being within the week of the warranty expiring! Proves my theory that Mom & Pop places are where its at! I hate giving my $ to Corp run establishments. I am so appreciative places like this still exist! I have been & will continue to sing their praises! THANK YOU!

Had mine rebuilt a couple years ago and about a year later it quit on me. i called mike and he sent a wrecker. when finished it was completely covered by his warranty. having a problem is human the way you correct them is a sign of quality.

I didnt get my vehicle repaired unfortunately, as the repair for the transmission is worth more than what my vehicle is worth (its a old explorer by the way) so decided not to. Although im very satisfied on how long it took them to diagnose and even still the customer service was good overall ! Thank you guys for taking time to look into my vehicle!

I had a car with a sick transmission, wouldnt shift into 6th gear,,I didnt know if I should trade the car in or repair. Mike was very straight forward from the moment I meet him. In the long run, after his advice, I traded in the car. It would have been easy for him to tell me they could take the transmission out, tear it down and see exactly what was wrong, but he gave me some rough estimates of what the repair could be based on his initial diagnosis. He seemed more interested in me making the right decision than him getting work out of itIts hard to find mechanics that will be straight up with you, and it seems especially when it comes to transmission,,,believe me, if I ever have a transmission problem, I will only go to A-1

Great customer service, they dont charge for reading the codes and putting your vehicle on the machine and they tell you everything that is wrong with your vehicle, they will even show you what they will replace and tell you exactly why it needs to be done.. Family owned and very good at what they do!!

He put a bad transmission in my truck. Took it back a couple of times and he finally replaced that transmission and so far so good. I wish it would have been fixed right the first time. He did make it right in the end though.

Had my trailblazer transmisson built by them 2 years ago and sold it to a friend and its still running 60k later and through some abuse for sure I never had a problem mike was very helpful went a tad over budget i think like 150$ but he called firstand let me know it was worth every penny im currently saving up to take my new problem to them diffrent car... should have kept the chevy probly next week ill take it up there the price they charge is worth it its peace at mind considering i remeber them from 2 years ago says alot i think i just thought they deserved a update from a satisfied customer

My truck needed a transmission rebuild. I took them a full kit with heavy duty parts (650$ kit) and was told the rebuild would cost roughly 1250$. I requested that I was notified when the transmission was out so I could pick up my converter and have it cut/flushed and built up with better parts. I got a phone call 2 days later saying it was ready and that I owed 2700$. I asked why it was twice the estimated amount and they said i needed hard parts replaced. When I picked up the truck they refused to give me a receipt other that a slip of paper with the total hand written in on half a carbon copy receipt. No work detail or inventory of the hard parts. About two weeks later first gear started to slip occasionally and there was a screeching noise from the transmission when the TCC was commanded off under 1500 rpm. I broght the truck back to them and they used up nearly a tank of gas driving it around and told me they couldnt hear anything. My wife who knows nothing about cars even noticed it without me saying anything. I picked the truck up and was told to bring it back if it happened again. 10 minutes after leaving the shop about a block away my truck was broken into and very specific things were taken. A couple weeks later after the break in damage was repaired I took my truck back and left it with them while I was out of town. I was told my truck would be kept inside and I would be notified if for some reason it couldnt be put in at night. I called twice and was told that the owner was out of town while I was away. When I got back I received a call saying my truck was left out and had been hit and that there was nothing wrong with the transmission. Didnt miss a lick was the technical detail I was given. Just over 7k $ in damage was dont to my truck from this breaking and body damage that wasnt there when I dropped it off and over 400 miles where put on the truck.. again it was returned empty .. transmission slipping. A fee days ago the transmission went out completly. Upon disassembly I found that a majority of the kit I purchased was not in the transmission and my converter was replaced with a revision that had a know defect. The defect caused the converter to wine at low rpm when the TCC was comanded off by the computer. I was never asked to sign any authorization for work.. a hold harmless.. or even given a receipt that was anything but a number scribbled on a half of a carbon receipt. The owner took no responsibility for anything and didnt even say sorry. His exact words were boy someone has it in for you. I have filed a complaint with the attorney generals office.Oh and I almost forgot to mention. When I dropped my truck off with one of the shop employees the first time after the initial repair. He said yes! Sighed when I told him why I was there and slammed his gun up on the counter as he sat down, blowing cigarette smoke in my face... If I remember correctly his name was Tommy. Very shady people.
