We bought a bedroom set and kitchen table and chairs from Wayside a couple weeks ago. Sandra was very professional and never tried to pressure us. She was writing up the paperwork on the bedroom set while we were just looking around a little more and decided we wanted the table and chair set also. The delivery guys were awesome and everything went smoothly. We love all our furniture! Would definitely recommend them. Great company.

A great experience from beginning to end. After many disappointing trips to about 15 different furniture stores, we visited Wayside. A nice selection of furniture, lots made in America! Florence, our salesperson was helpful and intuitive and gave us plenty of opportunity to look around, measure, ask questions, etc.Just as promised, the furniture was delivered 3 days later as planned, within the arranged time frame by 2 nice and professional gentleman. They brought everything in and set it up exactly like we wanted and made sure we were satisfied.Next time I need furniture, Im going to Wayside first!

Great products at reasonable prices

We purchased a kitchen table and chair set from Garner Wayside and was pleased with the service. Within a few months, though, the finish on the table top started flaking off. I called the store, and Sandra was very good about reaching out to the furniture manufacturer and getting us a replacement table.Unfortunately, within a few months that table started flaking, too. This set wasnt cheap, and we were not pleased. I called again, and Sandy gave us a few options: get another replacement, exchange the table for one with a comparable price, or keep the table we had and get a prorated refund. We opted to exchange the table, and Sandra went through each option with me at the store, answered all of my questions, and ordered us a lovely new table with a more durable finish that matched our chairs to a T.Our new table was delivered today, and I am so pleased! The delivery crew was great, the table is gorgeous, and I am very happy! While its been quite a journey to get the perfect kitchen table, Sandra was patient and helpful, which made this frustrating experience a lot more pleasant.

Always do business with local shops when you can - great place. They seem to only stock high quality pieces at good prices. Great staff as well. Highly recommended.

I purchased a kitchen table with four chairs from this furniture store. When we opened the box to assemble at home there were small scratches and nicks on the surface and one of the chairs was also in the same condition. I was placing small furniture feet pads on the chairs to ensure they didnt scratch my hardwoods. Ironically the one chair that had scratches on it already had the felt pads on the bottom of the feet which made me believe it had been returned. If it were new it wouldnt have had the felt pads on it. I called the store and they were willing to take back the chair and the table top. We kept the table legs/base. My husband went back and returned the items to swap out for replacements. The table top he picked up they had lying on the floor so it was easy to inspect the top which were where the imperfections were on the previous top. It looked good to go. Once we got the table top home I noticed there was an issue on the bottom edge of the table. Something you would never have noticed with it laying on the floor for inspection. I immediately called the store and emailed them over pictures which if you would like to see please check on Yelp. I let them know we would need another table top as this was defected also. Immediately their attitude was negative and they were rude and they said they were unwilling to take the table back. The reason I know that this was a defect in the table top prior to bringing home was that the finish was intact. They tried to say that we damaged it in transit. This would not have been possible because the finish would have been damaged also and you would see bare wood. I think it had previously been repaired and refinished. It was also wrapped in moving blankets on the way home and wood doesnt bend - it breaks and the finish would have been damaged. I was terribly disappointed in their customer service. You can tell by the pictures on Yelp that the finish was intact and it was damaged prior to the color finishing of the table. If we would have damaged the edge in transit it would be very apparent that it was our fault and you would see bare wood. Do not buy from this company.

This furniture store goes above and beyond to help their customers. They helped my 98 year old mother in-law when her recliner broke. We can’t thank them enough. When you need great furniture and even better customer service Garner Wayside is the place to go.Michael T

Came to this store awhile back and looked around at the furniture and wasnt greeted by not one employee. Some were with customers others were too busy talking to each other. Because of the poor service I ended up going to Raleigh Discount Furniture and got 2 couches way cheaper than I wouldve paid here and got great customer service from them. This stores poor service helped another store thats my new favorite gain a loyal customer. I refuse to come here again or recommend anyone to this non friendly store.

Stopped by to check on platform beds & mattresses. Didnt have what wanted but did send us in the right direction. Terrific staff. Very attentive.

The sign said they were having a mattress sale, and we needed a new mattress. Amy was such a help to us. Let us look around with no pressure, and was there when we needed her. Our new mattress has been delivered and we couldnt be happier. We have lived in Garner for thirty years now, and if I need to buy something, I like to give my business to my home area first. Worked out great.

Tired of the Cookie cutter Furniture Stores on Glenwood? Garner Wayside Furniture is the best kept secret when it comes to Raleigh Furniture Stores. Family owned & run, the service, selection and prices are what makes them special. Reminds me of my Grandfathers Furniture Store in Fairmont, NC.
