Ripped off!!!!! Payed to have my heads and block cleaned. All they did was a valve job. I had to clean it myself. Didnt get all my parts back. Save your time find somewhere else to go. Waste of time and money. Definitely not worth the effort for sure.

I had a mostly negative experience with Extreme Machine and Performance.Upon delivery of my cylinder head, which needed resurfacing, valve guides replaced, and a performance valve job, I was told to expect a wait time of up to 6 weeks before they could begin to work on my cylinder head. I agreed and left the head with them on the 17th of June.I began to call Extreme Machine and Performance (approximately) every 2 weeks from the end of July, so that I may receive a time frame update regarding the status of my cylinder head. I kept getting the run around and was told they had not yet started on my head, but that they would start next week. I heard this declaration maybe 3 times, to no avail.Fast forward to the first week of September, 2020, and I FINALLY started to hear from the machinist regarding the commencement of services for my cylinder head. I was told that I would be done by the end of the week; it was not finished by the end of the week. I was informed that they needed a different pilot, which is fine. Proper tooling is essential, but waiting 3.5 months to tell your customer that you are unprepared for the job assigned to you is not.I was eventually delivered a readied product the 16th of September, 4 months after delivery. The job was performed well and was executed by a skilled set of hands. However, I did not get anything resembling a bowl blend, which is was told was part of the performance valve job.Conclusively, I can attest that Extreme Machine and Performance does perform quality work, however I was given an ambiguous response when wanting to know the valve stem to guide clearance. Unfortunately, delivery times are not guaranteed and are highly exaggerated. Additionally, you will not be informed of the status of your engine components, despite requests for such valuable information. I do not recommend using Extreme Machine and Performance if you need engine machining services performed within a reasonable amount of time.

Great service. Walked me through their process. Told me what I’d need and what I didn’t. Will not Nickle or dime you. Would recommend to anyone starting a project, especially SBC. They also do Diesel engines as well. Will be taking all future projects and work, to them.

Interesting view of customer service. I have not had any work done with them but I think how they treat potential customers is just as important as how they treat you when you do spend money with them.Basically I called up looking for some information about rebuilding my engine. The guy that answered the phone sounded very disinterested in wanting my business. I told him that that I didnt expect an exact quote but that I was trying to get some range of prices outlined so I could help make a decision on what avenue I wanted to take with rebuild or replace. He first told me that he would need to pull the engine, get it apart and see what was wrong with it before he could quote me a price. I told him that the engine I have is not blown and actually runs really well, but just has a lot of miles on it and that I wanted to do something before it came to requiring a rebuild. The guy then said So you want me to pull a number out of the air and then pull the engine out and go through it?.....$2000, but it may or may not be that. Since he never really asked any questions about what I wanted to accomplish, why I wanted to do it, if I wanted any upgrades, was it for street or track, etc., I felt that I better not place a few thousand dollars on the line with this company.Had he simply said something like, To do a standard rebuild assuming no major issues and with a standard rebuild kit, you are looking in the ballpark of $xxxx. If you want to upgrade anything or if we run into some major problems, those will be the biggest factor in the cost of your rebuild. He just seemed irritated that I called in the first place and all he wanted to do was anything but talk to a potential customer. The sad thing is that I got a couple referrals from some people stating that this place is really good at what they do. That may be true but because this individual did not seem like he cared about the customer, I cannot comfortably recommend them.

Perry gave me options on my small block chevy heads. Installed hardened valve seats so I could safely run on todays no-lead gasoline. Reasonable price. Easy.

I took a 3.5L rover aluminum V8 to Extreme Machine and Performance, and am very happy with the work. A total bottom end rebuild and a rebuild of the heads took place (hardened guides/seats), in addition to some machining on intake components. Engine runs strong and cool, and no unusual bearing or other metal bits have been spotted after a few break in oil changes.Perry does excellent work, but certainly at his own pace. He is extremely competent on a wide variety of unusual engines. Every time I would go in, he would be working on interesting things like stovebolts, slant sixes, flatheads, and big blocks. Communication was good. He would make sure to go through potential obstacles and solutions before pulling the trigger. Pricing was ballparked up front, but no cost increases were incurred without receiving permission ahead of time. When I received the engine back, there were instructions on how to install the engine back into the car without stripping bolts on the aluminum block. Considering the extensive work performed, his fee was a bargain.

I have to say, he rebuilt the heads on my 1999 Cadillac Escalade and fabricated from scratch a repair on the jet nozzle on my Jetski. This man is amazing and delivers the most impeccable work I have ever had in machining.
