I showed up too early .I was there at 4:40 am. Not too much selection at that time, but thats my fault. Donuts were perfect, just like I remember them. And apple fritters, best in the state!! Loved it, and going to go this morning 🌄

I heard a lot about how good these were. Service was great, but the donuts were so so. I ordered a bear claw. I would expect a pastry covered with almonds and filled with almond paste. This one was more like an apple-filled donut with crunchiest on it. It tasted good, but it wasn’t a bear claw. The other items were fine, but not much different than other donut shops. Best one was the fudge-covered chocolate cake donut. Nice thing is they have a drive-thru!

Some of the best donuts I’ve ever had! Was a bit discouraged that they were out of some of the ones I wanted, but the long John and glazed were fantastic! Light, fluffy, great glazing, and warm. Everything to make the perfect donut. And so cheap! I can see why the donuts go so quickly.

Moved here in May 2020 and heard that Franks had the best Donuts around but close around noon... My wife and I got up early yesterday and wanted to Give Franks Donuts a try.. We arrived there and they had 2 hours to close. We walked inside and they had only Glazed Donuts left... Very disappointed and will not waste our time here again.... Back to Lexington for our donuts..

You wont find better donuts anywhere! Theyre always light and fluffy and have a slight vanilla taste to them that takes the taste to the next level! Product moves so fast that your donuts are always warm. Ive never had a gold donut or a bad experience from Franks. I would drive out of my way to work in Lexington when I lived in Richmond to get Franks donuts for the office. Theyre that good!

Went there at 6am and they had a ton of donuts that all looked tasty and fresh! I had a ham and cheese croissant as well and it was delicious, the donuts have the same taste as powdered donuts though so I dont love that.

I love that they have a drive thru and their doughnuts are hard to beat, especially when they’re fresh and warm. I’ve visited the location in Winchester and the newer one on 3rd Street in Lexington and can say the same about those.

Our family discovered this gem of a bakery during our vacation to KY. VERY affordable and delicious. You cant beat a dozen glazed donuts for less than $7! The second time we went, we arrived as they were putting WARM glazed donuts on the rack. OH MY GOODNESS! Were they ever DELICIOUS! BETTER than Krispy Kreme!

Its only drive through for now but its worth the 10/15 minute wait .great people working there with mask and gloves for customers safety. Prices are very reasonable.

We’re a year into living in Georgetown from Chicago. First time trying Franks Donuts was at 5:00 am yesterday morning! We loved every single donut. My Husband bought a dozen and our children wanted more than one! Nice, sweet, soft treat to have!! I would recommend this place to anyone. Thank you.

The only reason this place doesnt get 1 star is because of the cheap prices. The first thing I hear when I pull up through the drive through is we only have glazed and chocolate... ok? So 80% of the posted menu is irrelevant? The donuts were overly hot and soggy like theyd just been deep fried then stuck in a microwave. Pretty weird flavor also. I wont be back to this place.

I cant say enough good things about Franks. I lived in Lexington for 3 years while attending UK, and would always drive up on the weekends for a couple of glazed donuts. They were always busy but the staff was nice and quick. These are by far my favorite donuts Ive ever had.

Franks is the best! They are always packed with people but still manage to get you in and out in a hurry. The selection is great and the prices are reasonable. The blueberry cake is my favorite, but you really cant make a bad decision here.

Awesome place! Hot fresh donoughts whenever you go. Friendly staff and a large selection to choose from. Plenty of room to sit and enjoy there if you choose. I enjoy seeing parents and their kids sitting at the tables enjoying great pastries before school.

Great donuts at a great price

I stop often to get donuts on way to work, they are suppose to be open at 430. Have to wait for them to open, one time had to wait for 30 minutes and on 6/26/17 didnt open till 440 then was told it would be another 5 minutes before any donuts would be done, this has happened quite often and has become the normal thing for them, said no and left,if they are open on time and have donuts its a pleasant surprise. If the hours are 430 till ?? Then be open on Time and have the donuts ready. So if they are open on time and have some then yes they are the best donuts in the area.Next time I want donuts Im going somewhere else, tired of waiting.

Ive had their donuts several times now and have enjoyed how fresh they are everytime. They are the perfect ratio of light and sweet without being dry or overbearing. Every donut Ive tried thus far has been really, really good and I dont even like donuts all that much. I will definitely go there several more times in the months to come.

I stopped by the Georgetown KY location at 5 in the morning on the 16th of July and these were the worst doughnutsI ever had. I have been to alot of doughnut shops big and small and have never seen someone cut a doubt in half to put in cream filling. The taste of the chocolate cake doughnut left a bad bitter aftertaste in my mouth. The chocolate crueller was so crunchy that it was like eating a chip. We threw them in the trash. My wife wouldnt even take them to work they were so bad. Well thats 10 dollars for a dozen that went into the trash.

Very good if you like large, bready doughnuts. For the cake doughnuts thats good, but I prefer my crullers and fritters to have a bit of crisp on the outside edges.
