A really well stocked game store with good to great prices. They have a pretty huge selection of games, cards, accessories and consoles. Console and controller prices here are really great and are way closer to online prices than you find in other physical stores in the area. An example is a $39 working PS one. Staff were quick to help me look through a couple of things and check me out too.

Amazing haul! Games were great and have amazing prices. Nice staff and were very helpful picked up 6 games for the price of 2 new games. I would come here even if i was not into gaming because of the sheer amount of non gaming stuff they had! Would be coming back very soon.

Wish I could give 5 stars but the unfortunate thing is when I went to set up my daughters Xbox One console for Christmas on Christmas Eve Night, the plug was the wrong plug. So unfortunately she was unable to set it up and play online with her friends today Christmas Day.

Bad customer service. Me and my husband went in there to look at the PS4 games and to buy a PS4 controller. We stood in front of the counter while two employees were talking to each other and on their phones we were not greeted or asked what we needed for quite some time until my husband spoke up. It was very rude.
They have alot more ps and ps2 games than game over and press play in round rock.

Best Game X Change for miles.
Employees flat out lie about return policy and manager backs them up. I bought a new Wii Remote but had concerns that it would not be compatible with my Wii. I asked the employee about this, and she stated that I could return the item within 24 hours for a refund. After she ran my card, she highlighted something on the receipt and handed it to me (the timing of this is important later, AFTER SHE MY CARD). Sure enough, I had issues connecting the remote to my Wii, so I brought it back in box with the receipt early the next morning. I was then told that I could only receive store credit and that Game XChange does not issue refunds of any kind. I spoke to the manager, who was firm on the policy regardless of what the employee said. He directed me to the highlighted portion of my receipt that states they only issue store credit. He even told me that if I were to return the item 10 seconds later, it would only be store credit. He also stated that since she highlighted the receipt, policy was followed and so he cant make any exceptions.This is why I feel that I was completely conned. I was told I could return for a refund. My card was then run. Afterwards I was informed that the employee lied about the return policy by a highlighter and no words. So, even if I had read it right then and there, according to the manager I could not get a refund. This is 100% fraudulent business practices and I recommend you never set foot in this store.

This place is amazing. Thanks to this store I have built an incredible old school gaming collection. Usually their prices are even lower than youll find online, with some exceptions (looking at you Wii sports). If you like gaming, youre guaranteed to find something you want here.

I dont know why so many people were complaining in reviews the woman working the counter was nice and helpful. She also did a good job multi tasking between check out and inventorying about a dozen boxes of rare and vintage games someone was selling while I was there. She was also very knowledgeable about current and old school gaming.
Selection is pretty good but variable, sometimes they have what youre looking for, sometimes not. Pricing is always great, though, and the staff is super cool.

Between the amazing selection and the great deals, this place is pretty hard to beat.The only downside is that it can be a little tough to notice from the road, and youll never manage to turn left towards the highway coming out of their lot.
The best video game store in town. Ask for any one of the guys Levi, Preston, or Kegan! They are knowledgeable, friendly, and approachable. Before this staff, it was horrible. They would take forever to process your trades, lack in knowledge (for example one past employee thought a nes cart was a tape cassette ), and one guy was upset that I traded in stuff that he threatened to spit in my face. This store came a long way finding the right people to run it and hope they stick around because I will hate to see them go. Keep up the good work!

I did find a DVD no Disney live action Jungle Book with Jason Scott Lee about a month ago. I went in for their 20 for 20 sale and their disc resurfacer was out of commission. Could not buy DVDs at that time because the discs I wanted could not be cleaned/resurfaced and 50% of those selected needed work.

Went into the store to purchase 2 movies for 4.95 as I have in the past and is posted in the store. Levi rang them up for over $10. Said there was a store sale, waved a piece of paper said only those would be honored. Said manager was gone and did not want calls. Last time I go there. Have had mixed service in the past. This was it. Suspect they are on their way out of business.

I just went from a mediocre 3* rating down to a 1* rating for this store because of what I consider miserable business practice. I picked a movie marked $4.95 and was told at the counter that the store was going through a restructuring and now the movie I picked was $6.95. Im sorry you are going through some changes, but charging people now then the marked price is a joke. Get your repricing done overnight and dont cause your customers and under stress and irritation. Its gonna be a while before I spend my money here again.

This place is not winning any awards for customer service any time soon. The staff they choose to employ is in the millennial range, who are just part of that crowd of shaggy hair, still attached to some umbilical cords -type. You wont find any well dressed, trying to make a living, professional individuals here.However, the big point of this place is its product, and of it, they have in abundance. Any video game you can think of, they are certain to have it here.From old, to really old, to the latest.Prices are cheaper than Gamestop, but comparable, for new releases, to Wal Mart.But neither comes close to the selection here.Overall, if youre looking for a specific product, you will most likely find it here, and youll have a good time browsing through the selection.

Purchased some games for my excited 7 yr old here to see how they compared to their competition, Gamestop. Prices are comparable, discrepancy correction was horrible. We live about 40 miles away but were in the area, hence the purchase. After getting home, my boy was excited to play his new game but frustrated (as was I) when the wrong game disc was placed in the case. I called them to where they did (sincerely) apologize (twice), after letting them know I was out about 40 miles I asked if they could throw down a $5 used game for my trouble due to their lack of competence. He wouldnt agree to any service correction other than swapping out the wrong game for the correct one. I drove all the way back to swap them out, which was successful, however after a last request for just one of their used $4.95 games, I still got a no. This was their lack of competence of performing a simple task (one of the top tasks required for their job) and they couldnt even accommodate for a wronged and very inconvenienced customer to maintain a repeat customer or avoid a review such as this one. I understand everyone makes mistakes, however there are repercussions for all mistakes and considering the small corrective action I was requesting that wouldnt be honored (that waisted 4 gallons of gas for me), thats pretty cruddy business practice. My business will stay with Gamestop as well as my spreading of this occurrence to my many fellow family gamers in Round Rock and surrounding areas.

Worst experience I have ever had at this store or any other retail store. We have been loyal customers to GameXchange and this particular retail location (Georgetown TX). My husband and I went to this store and had several games and video game accessories put on hold overnight to be picked up next day around 5pm. Was told by one of the store managers that the games could be held and would be available when we got to the store today.My husband and I walked in expecting to just pick up the games on hold with no problems. Instead someone decided to put the games out for sale after we had put our name and contact information down for them.If an employee/store manager is going to promise a customer that they can hold a product - then that promise should be honored. Instead we were lied to and the employees working were rude to both of us. Will not be back to this location.

The employees here tried to sell me a 64GB SD card which was in a box of memory cards, the 64GB space said it was for PS Vita (which floored me as they go for 99$+) They insisted I was wrong, but finally tried it out on a Vita - and shock (PS VITA ONLY USE MEMORY CARDS MADE BY SONY!) it didnt work, but when I asked them if they still plan to sell it as a VITA card - they seemed inclined to rip off customers not as informed as I am. Plus the employees arent knowledgeable about other things as well & spent most of my time in the store goofing off. Especially when your return policy refuses refunds your employees CANT BE LYING TO CUSTOMERS and expect them to calmly accept store credit. I hope an adult reads this Wrote this part hoping corporate or someone in charge might read it thus my choice of writing style). Thanks, but unless I improvement in your staffs customer service (not playing games instead of helping customers), in your staffs sexist attitude (there are a LOT of female gamers) and to be told you are wrong & no idea what you are talking about even after pulling out google on your phone to back me up - I was treated in a demeaning fashion. I would return the games I bought and never set foot in your store again - but you only give store credit and who wants to go to a store that makes you feel unwelcome & is less knowledgeable when you ask a question. Bonus points for walking away to test out that sweeeet Gamecube Wave Bird as Im asking a question and ignoring me completely. For now I am just making sure none of my gaming friends use your store - its sad when a smaller chain is less trustworthy than GAMESTOP of all people. Oh and for all the google posts raving about or asking about what happened to the frequent rotating sales - now for games its Buy 2 @ $7.95 get 1 free. If you can find any games you want or dont already have as all 3 must be priced EXACTLY $7.95. Last WARNING - Do not buy Atari Carts from them. They admitted when I asked if they were tested out before sold to customers - that uh no they dont test them, but assured me they were cleaned up. I would only buy from an employee there in the future if 1. They werent sexist. 2. You didnt have to track down where the employee snuck off to smoke or play games. 3. They can answer a few questions about the merchandise in the store without lying flatout, telling me I dont know what Im talking about (refer to #1 sexist jerks). To sum up currently the manager (barely there cause he is off playing with a sweet Wavebird N64 controller and cant be bothered) and employees WILL LIE TO YOU WHATEVER IT TAKES TO GET YOU TO BUY SOMETHING! REMEMBER THEY DONT GIVE REFUNDS and Who wants store credit from LIARS! ALSO THEY ARE SEXIST/RACIST INSECURE MEN that will throw barbs here and there towards you the longer your in the store, or just talk about you behind the counter just within earshot. Thursday, June 18, 2015I just left the Georgetown, Texas store with my two boys, ages 11 and 13. We had intended to trade in four Wii system games and likely buy two XBox 360 games. However, while we were there, my 11 year-old asked to use the restroom. The young man behind the counter told him where it was located in the back of the store, then in front of several people in the store added, “If I catch you stealing any of my merchandise, you’ll be banded from coming back to this store.” Mind you, we are African Americans. My husband and I are HIGHLY educated (both Ph.D.s), upper middle-class parents. Our boys have NO reason to steal. Being told that was humiliating to my son, who came out of the bathroom crushed and shaken. I let the young man know that we had changed our mind about doing business with them because of his comment to my son. Furthermore, I suggested that he put signs up around the store regarding their policy on stealing.This is pathetic and I plan to tell my entire neighborhood about this encounter. The young man NEVER even apologized! Another young man in the store did apologize, but I’m not sure that the young man who made the comment even realizes that he did ANYTHING wrong!!!If there is a corporate office for Game X Change, I’d like to be sure they know about this incident.
