I love this store! The owner is extremely sweet and so is her friend/employee. I don’t know how to spell their names and I don’t want to butcher them.I always spend way too much money on yarn I dont need (becaus I have enough yarn to last me like 6 years) and more needles. Such a great selection of yarns!!!

I can’t say enough nice things about this shop. The staff is so friendly and helpful. As a new crocheter I had so many questions. Dee was wonderful. She was so patient and kind. I can’t wait to return.

Such nice people! Im so glad I stumbled upon them. They have a very wide variety of tools and yarns available. Knitting, weaving, and I even saw some drop spindles. Super knowledgeable staff and a great tea selection too. Will definitely be back.

This place is fantastic! It has a surprising variety of tools and yarns. I went in with my husband (a knitter) not expecting to find anything in my interest except cool yarn, but lo and behold they had weaving tools as well! I will absolutely be returning. Its my new yarn store and my new loose leaf tea store, lol

I’m a beginner knitter who needed some help with dropped stitches, and Shawnee very kindly helped me fix my work.The array of yarns was incredible, and I happily took home a few beautiful balls of hand died wool.

The staff is knowledgeable and kind, providing solutions to issues without trying to sell further things. The selection is wonderful, with a rainbow of color and fiber selection in every room. A good place to go for knitters, crochetiers, felters, weavers, and fiber artists of all skill levels, and a surprisingly diverse selection of loose leaf teas behind the counter. It is rare for a store to feel like home, but when it does, one has to cherish it.

When I walked into this lovely store, I was greeted right quick by the owner. She showed me around and told me all the good things about her store. The store is full of beautiful yarns from Texas dyers, as well as yarns from all over the country. Theres a good sale section, plenty of finished projects for inspiration, as well as helpful staff. Stop in and shop here when youre in Georgetown, Texas!

Awesome shop. The parking is limited, but once inside it’s like you’re somewhere else. There are 3 main rooms housing yarn and then another room for shows. Everyone is super sweet and easy to talk to. They have lots of Blue Sky patterns for purchase. Would definitely return when in the area.

Really love this shop! I had my nephew with me when I was shopping and of course he was bored. The owner knew exactly what to do. She let him help her price mark the yarn. He was so excited to help. She even paid him .50 cents for his hard work. He said this was the best day ever!This was a few years ago, and he still asks me how the shop is doing. He remembers quite well. Thanks for giving him a wonderful memory.

I love this place! Everyone is super helpful...and I need lots of help sometimes! Theres a wonderful space to just come sit, knit, and chat or drink tea. Anyone sitting around the table will help if they can, and there are certainly some experts that will patiently help fix an error or explain a pattern step. The shopping is great, lots of yarns to choose from. 5 stars, for sure!

I’m not sure what kind of person could imagine having an unpleasant visit! The staff is so warm, welcoming and helpful. I travel from out of town to specifically see Shawnee, and she always knows what new stuff I will love. No better place for an experience curated with care!

My happy place away from home. Great yarn selection, knowledgeable employees, customers that jump in to help each other. What a wonderful community the owner Shawnee has created. And the new more spacious location is even better with more room around the knitting table. Sometimes I stop in to visit just to get a smile.

This year’s Yarn Crawl was wonderful and to top it off I won a prize the first day I started the Crawl. Shawnee and the ladies at The Knitting Cup are the best. I love this shop.

After verifying the open times on Google Business and their website, I proceeded to drive an hour out of my way. Only to find they couldnt be bothered with spending 5 minutes to update their times. At this point I am assuming one of two things. One, they are completely incompetent and unable to properly run a business or two, they are completely out of business. Either way I plan on never returning, i would suggest looking elsewhere where the business is actually open.Additional:First off, Thanks for a response. Updated the review to 3 stars, since I havent actually been in the store, I can only base my review on my experience.Secondly, I think you may be the one confused. It clearly shows that you are open on both your Google Business page and your Website. There should be attached images for both of these - if not, just look up your business online - check your times under Google Business and on the footer of your website. Both are listed as Tuesday - Open until 9pm

Felt kinda snubbed and like I was being watched to make sure I didnt steal stuff...I wanted to like this shop - its cute, they have pretty yarn, and prices are comparable to others. The owner was nice enough…but both she and the other employee kept hovering around my friend and I. I wanted to just touch yarns and browse but the employee was almost always there to comment on every yarn I touched or just watch us. Honestly, it felt like I was being supervised. I purchased some yarn and winding it into a ball/cake was never offered even though there was a table clearly set up for doing so. Good prices and pretty yarn, but I probably won’t go back. I don’t like hovering employees and being watched the whole time.

What a beautiful, relaxing, and enjoyable time I have every time I frequent this yarn store. The owner Shawnee and employee Dawn are both very knowledgeable and so happy and willing to share their knowledge in every way. Thank you ladies very much. You are so very appreciated. 😘

Most fabulous yarn shop Ive ever been to. The owner has her table open all the time, she helps with all of the questions ( even on the projects that older than time and I didnt buy the yarn there), and the staff is super friendly! Affordable pricing and much, much bigger than it appears from the street. Found my home knit shop!!

The times arent correct. It is not open until 9pm on Tuesday. I went out of my way to drive up to Georgetown to look for a birthday gift for my mom and it was all wasted time.

You can not have more fun than at The Knitting Cup. Their knit night on Tuesday is always a blast.

My favorite place! The owner Shawnee bends over backwards to help her customers, always going the extra mile. Even during this, the busiest of weeks, during yarn crawl she takes the time to help every customer. We took our usual Tuesday night knit night offsite this week because the shop was too full of fabulous yarn without enough space for us! It was really unfortunate that another reviewer didn’t get that information. I promise that if you’ll give it another chance you won’t be sorry! Come check out the new store location at 102 E Univ starting Oct 16th! (Shop will be closed on the 15th to move!)

I loved this knit shop from the moment I stepped in. Sooo very helpful with yarn selection for patterns I brought in. Carly placed a special order for needles for me. I live a bit far for classes ( wish I didnt ) but will check with her first for needles and yarn.
