This is my honest review after visiting the store multiple times throughout the year for my audio needs. (Pro/Con list below)First Off Im mainly going to focus on my last couple trips to sound works. Now I get it store cannot compete with online sales and with the growth of Amazon Prime its getting harder and harder, that being said Im all about supporting a local store and I am willing to dish out a little extra cash to have the item now and have the knowledge of that staff so I can get the correct part. That being said I needed some new parts for a Double Din. I entered the store and told the man working at the front what vehicle I owned and told him what parts I needed he then did some looking on his computer and quickly came back with the two components I needed. I then did a quick search and told him that I was price checking to see how well they had priced them compared to amazon (witch I could get in two days) he asked me how far off he was and I told him about $60 off of amazon, and said he would meet me in the middle... He then proceeded to give me $20 off my total. At this point I did not care I just wanted to get my new sound system done so I paid it ($20 off a $190 purchase) So I started working on my truck and around 445pm I found out they gave me the wrong hook up. So I called and told them I was coming in and asked if they could wait, which they did (I got there at 501pm) they replaced the part and got me the correct one. They next day (Saturday) I stopped in and asked for another part I needed and purchased it. I then started working on some other things that night and when I finally got to installing the part they had given me I again realized it was wrong... however it was late at night and no one was in the shop... They where closed the next day so i had to wait yet again to get the correct part...Pros:- They are local- Im sure they install stuff nicely- They corrected their multiple mistakesCons:- For experts in sound, they seem to give out the wrong parts a lot- Way Way over priced (Always price check them and order off line in advance)- Check what you buy before you leave, although they say its the correct part I got the wrong one two times in a row.

Had a speaker that needed some simple wiring fixed. These guys did it on the spot in under 20 minutes for free. Efficient and professional. I normally dont write reviews but as they did the repair for free, simple as it was deserves a good review. I have dealt with them on other occasions and they have been consistent in their excellent service.

Enjoyable crew of people who stand by their work. They wont mislead you into buying something you dont need. Bought auto start and other things from them for a couple years now.

This place ought to be shut down. These people are liars and frauds. We purchased a piece of equipment for our soundsystem with a check for the full amount due in advance back in September. Its been 2 months and theyve been lying repeatedly about when they were planning to install the equipment. Then this owner said he came by our house last week to do the work, but said we werent there. Of course this was a lie as we have been home every day and we double checked our cameras and confirmed that they are liars. Then on Monday he said he would call on Tuesday to set up a time, but that didnt happen either. So today hes been hanging up on us or ignoring our calls.This business is a joke and probably close to being shut down since they need to steal 1600 from us and cant do the work.Stay away from this clown owner and his worthless business.

I got my Mistibushi Endeavor SE audio system assembled form them. I must say that they bring the best quality service. I have been to other dealers too none could deliver me my required configuration, rather they were imposing their products on me. They were not even able to understand what I want.Thanks to Jake to listen to my requirement and get me the system that I wanted and it rocks. A satisfactory and cost effective service.Thanks Jake.

Do not trust the owner. Do not listen to him proclaiming his Christianity. Hes owed me$1,500 since last August for parts he uses in his business (drone controls and batteries). He was doing commercial work with his drone without a pilots license a drone registration or insurance. I had to go to court and win a small claim judgement against him. He didnt even show up. You cant shame this man.

DON’T EVEN THINK ABOUT GOING HERE! You will regret every wasted second and every penny pissed away, I cannot believe this place is still in business!! No joke, dishonesty up the wazoo and they don’t have a clue what they’re doing! I’ve never been so screwed over, it’s unreal. Believe every bad review on here, this place should be shut down. No one else should have to be screwed.

I am so VERY disappointed that a business owner could tell some one that they can and will do a service, and does not do that service!! Shame on you for miss leading us!! We drove 3 hours to have my husbands bike reflashed. Get to the address and they are closed. Call and kind of got the run around, then Bill calls back and say “ I am going to have you go to our other store.” So we go there only to find out that it IS NOT his store, thank heavens! But the store of 2 wonderful gentleman that did not know we were sent there but went out of there way to take care of us. Only to find out this man Bill, is totally miss representing himself! Bill at sound works is telling people he has done 70-80 reflashed Harley stereo systems. SO NOT TRUE!! Billis taking credit for the AMAZING guys at AV Tech. So if you want the job done and done the best it can be GO TO AV Tech!!

Soundworks has alway taken care of me and my friends. They have performed excellent installations and always had the equipment I wanted for my home and my car. I have been very impressed at the custom work they have done as well. All the other shops dont even compare in quality and on the level of inventory available. They also sell for less than the internet. I would highly recommend them to anyone. So glad we have a shop like them in town.

If you have ever believed anything, believe this! If you go anywhere near this place you are a wanting to be ripped off! I thought I purchased a remote start as a Christmas gift from them. The only thing, when the recepeint of the gift went to their appointment....no remote start equipment, no one to install. No call back from the owner..NO Refund on my credi card as of today...All I have is their claim I received goods and services. I am sending my response to my credit card today, as well as a complaint to the Wyoming better business bureau, And a action request to the city of Gillette. How is thus company still in business?

Had them install a new cell phone booster in one of our fleet vehicles, as well as a bluetooth handsfree system. Old booster and bluetooth system broke on a Friday, needed the truck back up and running by Monday, they got us in last minute on Saturday and completed the installation. Reasonable price, amazing service, everything works well and the installation is clean, no spaghetti wiring! Very good service.

Bought new subs on friday had them make the box love it thanks guys

Terrible experience. Brought my 2014 Dodge Durango in there to get a sub purchased and installed. It was expensive ($1400) which was reasonable being top of the line. Showed up on my only day off for an appointment I had made in advanced. They installed it in about 3 hours which was good. When it was ready they handed me my keys and I get in my truck and... *the sub only turned on when the volume was mid to high range...*my keyless entry was broken...*there was dirt and a mess in the trunk that wasnt there before...*all of my personal items were moved around...*my back trunk door handle was broken...*they wired it using a shortcut directly to my speakers instead of my head unit that way I couldnt control the sub which made the sound beyond terrible.*****So I brought it back in and the dude said he could drill a hole in my new dashboard for a knob to control the sub. I was already upset about everything, so I said heck no and demanded everything uninstalled and my money back.The owner then came out and was mad and preceded to yell at me demanding a reason why I wanted it uninstalled raising his voice in front of other customers, embarrassing me (one of his customers that just spent $1400 and got a bunch of stuff broken by his staff in a 2014 truck that had 8000 miles on it). I had never in my life been treated like that.So upon me telling him Im going to have to get a lawyer and call the cops he went ahead and uninstalled everything but the wires and gave me $1100 out of $1400 back (which took 10 days to put back on my card) and I had to then go to the dealer on my own time and get the keyless entry and door handle fixed plus had to clean the dirt and mess they made.Never do I recommend anyone even my worst enemy to go to this place they call a business. Stay far away!!!

They were rude. For one they put the wrong harness on then told me I didnt know what I was doing and claimed they didnt put that harness in. I dont recommend coming here they milk you for your money and will tell you youre stupid.

Price check everything you buy. They are normally double or more.

Do not go to this place that will rip you off 1st off they will not put in your system correctly and then when you point out that they screwed up they will charge you again to fix it do not trust them do not go here
