Very helpful staff. Needed to get sons acoustic guitar fixed. Waiting on parts now. Also decided to get another guitar. Plenty of acoustic and electric guitars to choose from. But if youre a drummer, they got the basics still, but looks like theyre running low of stuff. Obviously due to the pandemic. And there probably isnt a drum person there, or at least they werent in while we were there.

Great place for musical instruments. We went once for an item, and now we tend to come buy something new every month! Now that we have drums, ukeleles, guitars and a violin, what are we going to buy next? With three children who love music, you never can tell!

Contactless curbside delivery worked without a hitch. One of the items I had ordered was a 12-pack of assorted guitar picks. The guy who brought out my order said he couldnt find the pack I ordered and wondered if the 18-pack he substituted for the same price would be okay. Over-delivering is never a bad thing and the mark of good customer service. The guitar I had ordered was packed extremely well and arrived without a mark on it. I had never bought a guitar without checking it out and playing it first, but this experience turned out better than I expected. Ill be back!

Trying to shop for a guitar. I was just playing in the acoustic room and I asked for help. Now the guy insisted on hovering over me as I try to shop. Was trying to make this a good experience for myself not an awkward one. Im taking my money to shop elsewhere. Plus hardly any guitars to pick from. I never even got a chance to talk about the intonation they couldnt get right. I just walked out. Weird vibes in here. ..

Came in on a Sunday evening looking for a new guitar and Chris helped me leave with exactly what I wanted! Chris was very helpful, patient, and accomodating. This store needs a bit more inventory but I can expect that this would be the case due to the high demand for instruments during the stay at home order. Check this place out to hopefully find your dream gear.

I’ve never had any issues with the Gilroy location, in fact, I’ve been visiting this location for as long as I could drive to it on my own. During the pandemic I’ve purchased several items here and has a good experience. Cool and knowledgeable staff.

At Guitar Center Gilroy, they sell not just Musical instruments, but they do have an amazing Music Lessons facility providing world-class music education. I like it!!!!!

Customer service wasnt bad, I purchased 6 items and every one of them rang up 30% to 40% higher at the register than what was posted on the placard above the item. Either this was a lazy or strategic attempt to profit from customers who were not paying attention. I was given the option to void the transaction, if it wasnt a last minute holiday purchase I would have....but I wont be back.

The store Manager rocks he is very knowledgeable and know what he is talking about.

I love this store and it beats having to go all the way to San Jose from Monterey County.Its nice to walk in and find something rare like an all rosewood neck Fender Professional strat or Yamaha Montage 88 digital workstation keyboard.

I went in today with me and my 2 kids to play some drums and when i asked for some drum sticks the guy that worked in the drum section told me that i could only play for 5 min and then after my 5 min was up i let my daughter play her 5 min, the guy came back asked me if i was going to buy something i told him no i just come here to jam out have a bit fun with my kids then he told me we couldnt play anymore because Covid. Then stood there and watched us till we left and followed us out the store. I dont know the mans name but he was kinda young, white man with with long hair and works in drum section at Gilroy Guitar center. Never once has this happened to me at any guitar center during covid i even called to see if that was a store rule and they said no that each member is suppose to sanitize the instruments before and after each person is done playing.

Curbside pickup was smooth. NOTE: associates need to be able to open boxes for customers. My name-brand purchase was in some other box for shipping, and I had to struggle myself to check and ensure I had the product I ordered. Minor inconvenience, but still easy experience.

Bought the last two boxes of string I come home to find out they’re empty.

Disorganized. Drum instructor cancels ALL the time. Callous customer service. Take your business elsewhere.

Knowledgeable and super helpful staff. They have to accompany you as you browse the store (a COVID thing) but it wasnt at all intrusive and they went into the back storage room to to search for a special request item.

The times I’ve gone to this Guitar center in Gilroy I’ve had bad customer service the workers there want you to buy and get out of there quick like if I’m not there to spend my money. I’ve boughten lots of equipment for my band here some equipment I’ve boughten there has came out USED and sold as NEW!!! This happened with one of my Bose S1 speakers, opened it up it was dusty and had no charger with it. Bought some JBL’s from you guys as well and they were also used and also labeled as new. The last time I bought something from this guitar center I had boughten an 800 dollar wireless sure mic got home opened it up and it was rusty from the top of the mic it was also labeled as new. The times I do go back to complain about the used items the workers there act like they don’t know anything about it. Don’t go to this Guitar center

The manager of this store was incredible. He took the time to educate a beginning guitar player on several different guitars. Very friendly, informative, available. My experience is that is VERY rare in Gilroy. My hats off and I will be returning to purchase a guitar, maybe two.

Think twice before you go. Their stock is not accurate on their website nor trhu a google seach. Nobody picks up the phone call and once you there, the staff is far from being helpful. Keep that in mind.

I like this place.They treat you like a human being, talk intelligently, but not above your head. And theyre very accommodating. Easy, and way better than youd expect.

Out of all the guitar centers Ive been to Gilroy has to be my favorite. The employees are actually nice and very helpful, and theres not a lot of obnoxious people playing the instruments at full volume trying to get attention, like we get it you play guitar so does everyone else here.Anyway back to my review Summer helped me out today and she was amazing and super helpful, so helpful that this is a shout out to her, summer is a perfect 10/10 employee.

Im always buying stuff online and if its not something Im feeling I can return it in stores for free and I dont know how many times Ive been in to return or exchange something( bought and returned 5 different guitars until I found my perfect one) and every time they are very welcoming and gladly return or exchange my items. I absolutely love the customer service here and recommend this location to anyone.

Great place. We bought a drum set in July and now in December it started going out and not working well. Sean Butson got us all our money back and got us a discount on a new set. He definitely took great care of us!

Not the stuff i was looking for. The ones i liked were marked at msrp so the july 4th sales were lacking. The best deal they could offer was a 15percent off so just a little better than tax free.

Wide variety of instruments and musical supplies. No wind instruments of course, but they do drums, keyboard, guitars, ukeleles, small percussion, etc. Lots of people around to help you. They sell music books. They also have a few cubicles for music teachers to use for private lessons. They have lots of sound and dj equipment, microphones, etc. You can buy new equipment but they also sell used. You can look online and if you find something you want, they ship it out. Weve bought quite a few things there and always happy with our purchases.

I have shopped her sporadically since its grand opening. The establishment seems to have fallen pray to the increasingly difficult challenge of hiring/keeping knowledgeable and attentive staff, at least in the departments I have frequented. Finding good information from the staff can feel like pulling teeth. I dont know is a common answer. Not to mention simply getting acknowledgement when in need of help. Perhaps it is the culture of the unsigned music industry that rubs of as unwelcoming and incapable in regards to costumer service.The good news is that this establishment probably has what you need. You may need to become an self taught expert in your musical niche before making the best purchase decision

This Guitar Center is smaller than most, but has a helpful staff and a decent selection of instruments.

Its actually quite small which in turn limits how many actual products can be on display but other than that, its quite a very good place with very nice people that are willing to help you find what you need.

They have all the instruments that you are looking for and if they dont theyll order it for you.

Walked in pockets full of cash...got zero greeting. Was looking at a demo unit when it suddenly went silent? Odd. Ok leaving looking for what I came here for, I see nothing. Needed a slant rack dj case. I see some high prices on clearance items and 1 customer getting the coverage plan shpeel. I guess not Gilroy GC. Drove home and spent about a grand online.
