Everything we got was high quality and at a good price. The jalapeno brats were awesome. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The only problem I had was spotting the sign for the store. I will definitely be shopping there again.

If this is your only experience with a butcher, it’s not normally like this. I suggest going else where. Over priced, no selection, rough looking interior.

We were in for the first time last Sat after moving back to KC. We miss McGonigles... tried an extra thick cut ribeye (boneless) and it was excellent. If you are looking for good meat at a fair price, these guys seem to be it for north KC. We will be back!

I called ahead with my order by 2 days. It was not done. They said they would do it then. I asked for 1/8 sliced eye of round for jerky. They said okay no problem we make jerky... When I got home they sliced it with the grain rather than against, and at 1/4 rather than 1/8.

My husband and I bought some beef ribs from North Oak Quality Meat Market and they were amazing! Totally inexpensive and great quality. It looks like a family owned and operated business and they were super helpful.

1st time visit asked for two ribeye steaks. Paid $40.00 got home and was not happy. Had so much hard fat. Once I trimmed them not even worth the trip. Yeah I wont be back.

We have never used a butcher before now and for the last 3 months we have been amazed at how different it is! The quality and taste is so much better! The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable about cuts of meat. They always prepare our meat right in front of us so its never frozen always fresh. Definitely reccomend to family and friends!

Ive been here several times and have had good experiences but today is different. The guy, I think he said his name was Stu, wearing a red and white Cardinals hat was incredibly rude. My girlfriend asked a simple question about what thickness of cuts were available and he laughed in her face. Bad experiences yield poor reviews.

I tried a meat market for the first time in my life, and this was the closest one to me. I bought 2 one pound packages of 87% frozen ground chuck. While cooking one of the pounds, there was more grease on it than any 80% that I’ve bought in a grocery store. Either they are selling more fat than they are telling you, or they can’t tell the packages apart, because all mine says is “ground chuck”. There’s no percent written on the package. Completely dissatisfied.

PLEASE BEWARE OF DOING BUSINESS HERE!!! The owner of this establishment tried to physically assault my husband because we wanted our order fixed. Let me just start by saying we have been loyal customers for about 6 months now, and up until the past few months very satisfied with the meat quality and customer service. The past few times we have placed orders for meat bundles, we show up at home either missing meat from our bundle or simply not receiving what we ordered. **Mind you, we live about a 45 minute round trip from this place.** Today, after coming home, I realized my meat bundle order was yet again NOT what I had ordered. I was frustrated, but returned to the store mild mannered simply wanting my order fixed. The woman who was working the counter argued how their policies on the meat bundles changed, instead of telling me upon placing my order, or giving us notice for next time. She further states the decision to fix my order was not up to her, and she needed to get the owner/boss, whos name is Shannon. Shannon greets us and immediately tells us how we will not get our order fixed, because how the policy has changed on how they package the meat (which again we were completely unaware of until we brought our order home). Also, they never updated the menu to reflect these changes either, and instead they pass the blame on the customer. As if this was not bad enough, Shannon proceeds to tell us if we dont like it we can take our money elsewhere, so at this point we took him up on his offer for a refund and thats basically where this situation escalates. Upon taking money out of the drawer he starts an a verbal confrontation with my husband that ends up in him walking around the counter and attempting to swing on my husband while cussing at him. His employee literally had to restrain him from assaulting a customer in the front lobby of his business. To make matters worse, he shorted us in cash for our order and ripped us off before the altercation even took place! This place is a complete joke that claims to be a quality meat market yet they are incompetent of filling basic requests of their customers, let alone attempting to ASSAULT a customer for simply wanting what they paid for. All we were asking was to fix what THEY DID NOT DO RIGHT and that is our fault. I am not a review person that goes around writing bad reviews but this was terrifying, you cant make this stuff up people....this place needs to be SHUT DOWN.Needless to say, if you decide to continue business be prepared to protect yourself, ESPECIALLY, if they make a mistake on your order.

This is my favorite place to shop! The staff are always so friendly and helpful. The meat is so much tastier than anything from the areas grocery store chains. I highly recommend their dry aged steaks, they are tender, juicy, and flavorful.

Dont waste your money. Ordered a bundle a little while back and when I picked it up the paper on everything was soaked threw with blood, not the correct size (2in ribeyes were half an inch at best) and the order was wrong, Had too drive back and fourth 4 times too get everything in the freaking order. Called too try and get it fixed after opening the disaster and they did nothing. Bad business practices screwing people over. Runs all the meat threw a ban saw so everything is shredded. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Love this place, been going for years. The selection is outstanding, the prices competitive, and the meat is fresh and delicious. Even though I moved and its not as close anymore, I still make the 30-40 minute drive and this is the only place I buy meat. The staff is friendly and helpful, and will accommodate their customers as much as they can; they will also make suggestions on different cuts if you have something special in mind, or if you need something specific.

Great steaks. Tons of flavor. Dont waste your time on the mass production meat shops.

The people are lovely and super helpful! My boyfriend and I stepped into here for the first time last weekend and we were greeted with smiles and friendly faces. We asked for a specific cut of beef and we got exactly what we asked for. On top of that we went home with some chicken as well. Both meats were the best we have had in KC. Thanks for running an awesome business! We will be buying all of our meats from here from now on.

Porterhouse, cubed steak, ground beef. They even made me a specialty sausage for just the price of the meat. The meat is like nothing else. The bacon was so delicious. You dont realize how many additives the grocers use until you try meat without them. They also have fantastic soup bones. I made a batch of pho with them and it is amazing!

Place is great. Told em what I needed and they delivered spectacularly. Headed back soon just hoping this is what I think it is, a good hometown business. Been a while since Ive been excited about groceries.

My only complaint is their online presence is non-existent...The day they get a website, or start utilizing these free online social profiles more, Ill start sharing them to everyone I know! For people who arent familiar with the different cuts of meat, walking into a butcher shop can be daunting... a website with informative posts about meat cuts, what to look for, average weights, etc. would be a tremendous step in the right direction to drawing a bigger crowd!

Ordered short ribs and also got some KC strips. Both were very tender and delicious! Great customer service (each time I called, I received friendly assistance). Totally recommend if you live in the northland and are looking for a butcher.

Man, EVERYTHING Ive tried there so far has been soooo good! I tried their whole chicken, pork rump roast and BEEF BACON last week...you can really taste the difference in their FRESH, GRASS-FED and ALL NATURAL, HORMONE-FREE meats! So today I bought the chicken thighs and wings, T-bone steaks and more pork roast (already tied!) and I cant wait to try it! The owners (a sweet couple!) are super nice, patient, kind, very helpful and informative too! They have great bundles and deals, and the owners were VERY flexible with their bundles too! I will DEFINITELY be a regular customer from now on, I ABSOLUTELY recommend buying the QUALITY products in this place...thats probably why they got my first review EVER! NorthOak Quality Meets has an amazing staff and super competitive prices. I drive from. Downtown. Just to come. Get my ground beef and turkey. Highly recommended for anyone who cooks at home.
