I just finished doing business with Joseph A Wade Inc, and I do mean finished. Last week I dropped off 2 hydraulic cylinders - a 2x24 and a 4x7.5 - leaking at the rods. Saturday, my son picked them up for me and paid the ridiculous bill. It was $357. I can buy 2 new cylinders of equal or better quality for $265. The most bizarre item on the inflated invoice was a Freight charge of $32.50. Either they charged for me driving over 45 minutes each way to deliver them and my son doing the same to pick them up, or they charged for the disinterested man who strolled out to the parking lot to carry the lightest cylinder inside.I note one of the reviews is by an employee. Guess padding ratings is easy, too. Perhaps I should count my blessings; Im over 60 and this is, so far, the worst scam Ive fallen victim to.

Part good, part bad.The BadSince there is little competition for hydraulic parts/repair close by, they get to charge very high prices.The GoodUsually have plenty of hydraulic fittings and hoses in stock.

If you need a hydro. Hose made or hydrocyclinder repaired they are always very helpful.

I needed a set of stainless steel braided brake lines made to a certain custom spec and they were able to make them for roughly what a normal set would cost, but in my custom dimensions. Great people and service, highly recommended.
