I had my Ultra converted to a trike using the California Sidecar platform. A great experience. I had a new front tire replaced a few months ago.
Took my 2004 Harley Davidson Road King in for new tires. Everybody was professional and courteous. Excellent price! Bike was done when promised and it was done right! I will definitely be using them again!
When you want it done right this is the place.Out standing workmen ship with a great price. RIDE ON
Very Dangerous “Repair” Experience. PLEASE READ… I took my Harley motorcycle to Ace Trikes & Bikes (aka: Ace Motorworks) in Glassboro NJ, for new front and rear tires. After a few days at the shop I got a call and I was told “someone used Red Lock-tite on the rear caliper bolt and the threads were stripped”. Since I’ve never had rear end work done (tire or brakes) on this bike my personal assumption is the metal bolt and aluminum caliper weren’t heated when removed causing the thread to strip. But I gave them the benefit of my doubt. I was informed I (yes me) should go to a local motorcycle parts shop and get a used replacement, which I did. (I know, I thought it to, why can’t a repair shop do a re-thread, but I went with their recommendation). A few days later, once the replacement caliper was installed, I was told I could pickup the bike. I arrived, looked things over and as I drove off the shop lot I realized I had absolutely NO REAR BRAKES, AT ALL. I immediately turned around and I was met with complete confusion by the “mechanic”. After a few minutes of his tinkering and head scratching I told him, take the caliper off and order a new OEM part. Don’t call me until it’s installed AND tested.About a week and a half later I was told the bike was done and I could pick it up. I carefully left the lot testing the brakes and felt no issue. As I rode, I got just about 4 miles and I started to feel the rear end wobble and (not exaggerating) as I moved from the left lane to the right lane passing a tractor trailer I realized the rear tire was flat. I was able to pull off into a lot where I called the shop. The Office Manager at Ace wasn’t able to get in touch with the owner (this has been an ongoing issue at this shop), so I informed her I was having the bike towed to a Harley shop and I expected Ace to cover the cost of having the tire fixed properly. The tow cost me $135 (I emailed the receipt and called Ace weekly for 2 months straight requesting the reimbursement. I never received the reimbursement. Ace did cover the rear tire repair, which turned out to be an improper tire bead, however I did incur another $125 charge at the Harley shop because I asked them to do a full inspection of the bike for peace of mind.I initially used ACE because I wanted to give my business to a local shop. My experience at Ace is, with the exception of the Office Manager, there is no one consistent in the building. I’ve probably called the shop on 10 different occasions and been able to speak to the owner once. I’ve been to the shop on at least 6 occasions and on 1 of those occasions there was someone other than the Office Manager in the building. If you chalk this review up to a one-off bad experience and decide to go here for service, please be extra diligent about checking every single aspect of their work. Be safe, check every single bolt. I’m not someone who criticizes a mistake here and a mistake there, but these were 2 HUGE potentially life threatening “mistakes” that to me, come very close to negligence.I waited 2 full months for Ace Trikes & Bikes (aka: Ace Motorworks) to do the right thing and reimburse me for the $135 cost of towing. Because I’ve dealt with repeated ignored emails and phone calls requesting the reimbursement I felt it was my responsibility to warn others about my experience in dealing with this shop.
Clean organized shop. Good customer service.
