I went their recently to get the familys bikes inspected for safety and ready for riding again. They have been hanging in the garage for a few years. Goodly did an excellent job. He had the repairs complete much quicker than I expected and he shared some great information about the possibility of a new bike. I really appreciated his knowledge, helpfulness and very fair prices.

I have never bought a bicycle from a store in my life. I have always gone with Craigs list. I can not say anything bad about this shop. The salesperson, Dakota, was extremely knowledgeable about the bikes and not pushy. He greeted me as soon as I walked in and was very straight forward. The price was very reasonable and I was allowed to compare multiple bikes by test riding in the parking lot. Needless to say, this shop is my go-to for all things bikes from now on. Cant beat locally owned and personal attention. Thank you so much and I cant wait to start riding my new bike!

Im sure youll have better experience there 😂😂😂Ive bought 9 bikes from Goodly for my family over 20 years. Kids out grew them and I road mine to the ground. Nothing but respect for the associates and the business. Keep biking👍

I went in for a bike helmet, and came out with two used mountain bikes for my kids. The price was excellent, and the salesman (Nick, I believe) helped us take apart the bikes to fit them in the car. Im going back to get my wife a new bike in a few weeks. I also dropped off a 20 year old Peugeot for shifter work. The bike was fixed in a day, and works great.

My husband brought our 2 mountain bikes in to get tuned up for the summer. It cost us $60 dollars a piece to get all the gears, tubes, brakes checked. They also said that they would add oil to the brakes if needed. My husband comes back in the following day, picks up the bikes and brings them home. At home we notice that my back brake wasnt even working and oil was leaking out!!! How could they possibly of missed this? I could understand something minor like a tube, but my back brake!?! My husband tried to work on it to get the back brake to work but no luck. So I called the shop, explained the situation, and the owner told me that for another $25 dollars he would look at it???? WAIT WHAT? I bring my bike to you to get tuned up and apparently all you did was rip me off. To top it off my husband hops on his bike and his back tire is completely flat. I WILL NEVER GO BACK HERE NOR WILL I RECOMMEND ANYONE HERE. All together our complete bill was $200 dollars because we bought 2 parts along with the $60 tune up. We are going to return the parts because I want nothing to do with this business.

I keep trying to give this place a chance.I usually do the work myself but I did not have the right tool to bleed the brakes.i called contes and they said 40$ to do it. I had a race the next day so I called goodlys because it was the only other one I knew. They said 20$I decided to give them a chance do I went thereAs soon as I got there they said that it would not be 20. They said that it would be 30I needed it quick so I said yesWhen I come back the next day to pick it up they said that I did not need to bleed the brakes, they said that I needed a pad replacement. They also said that they changed the pads without thinking of asking me.(they did this because a pad replacement was more expensive than the brakes being bleed. When I got home mad I rested the bike on the block and it felt Evan worse!!Another thing that I noticed was that they had broken my shock lock switch.I read on the recipe that they had charges me 10$ for making the shocks better.(they felt the same) I also found out that contes was not bleeding for 40$ but was giving me the whole handle and caliper and wire.the same thing that contes was selling me, goodlys was selling for 114$Here is a list that disappointed me.Crank (skipped a lot the first time I put it on)Brakes (same insident that was in the early part of this review)Taking parts of my bikeTrying to sell me things that I dont need. And more

1.5 miles into a 23 mile ride and my chain broke off of my bike. We hitched a ride to Goodly and they immediately replaced the chain and cassette and had me back on the road. A great bike repair experience and I will definitely be going back for all of my service and repair needs.

This is a great family owned bike shop specializing in Jamis bikes, a value-oriented brand with solid components. I purchased a road bike here a couple of years ago and was very pleased with the bike and the shop. They were able to price match a web site, but I still got the professional assembly and the support of a local bike shop. They helped me dial in the fit correctly on the bike, as well.I returned this month to purchase a 20-inch boys bike for my 6-year old son and they were again excellent. The owner is kind and friendly, and the younger bike mechanic is capable and reliable. This time, I didnt have a price match, but was able to negotiate a small discount off of retail. This shop is not as high-profile as Agees or Carytown Bicycles, but its a great place to do business. Mechanical work is also well priced, although I have not any need for it yet.

Theres one reason this is a two-star review and not a one-star: I have to take some personal responsibility for not test-riding my bike after they installed a new front derailleur on my 21-speed Diamondback. I just assumed that was done so I picked up the bike, brought it home, and it sat for a week through this rain and hot-weather spell till today, when I finally got to ride it. The chain drags on the front middle gear through half of the rear gears, and when shifting up to the big front gear, the chain overshoots and completely comes off the front cassette, which for me happened right at the big curve on Hermitage Road off Staples Mill past the railroad tracks--no sidewalk, no shoulder, just weeds and a ditch where I had to manually put the greasy chain back on and got filthy and mosquito-bit in the process. After limping home (thankfully I was only two miles away tops), I called Goodlys and asked if the bike had been test-ridden after the new derailleur was installed and before I picked it up. (This was obviously a rhetorical question because NO ONE COULD HAVE RIDDEN THAT BIKE AND THOUGHT IT WAS ALL RIGHT.) The owner of the shop said that no, when they put the bike up on the rack for the install, they switch through the gears and if nothing sounds amiss, they DO NOT TEST RIDE THE BIKE TO ENSURE THE REPAIR WAS DONE CORRECTLY.The owner said to bring it back and theyll look at it no charge--DUH, no charge!--but this requires me to borrow my neighbors truck or bum a ride from him not only to drop the bike off but to do it twice or wait with me long enough for them to fix what they didnt fix before.MIGHT go back to get this adjusted, but I wont be going back for anything else. VERY disappointing experience...my neighbor heard such great things about it.

Went in today just wanting to see what kind of road bikes they carried and Dakota was super helpful explaining the differences of each bike. Wasn’t planning on it but ended up putting a down payment on a new road bike!
