Very unprofessionalI called this company to get a price on vinyl plank flooring. I talked to the owner Lenny and was dropped off some samples to look at. I was told that if I didnt like any I could purchase some from somewhere else and hire them to do the install.I told Lenny that I liked a floor that floor and decor had but also asked for a price on his material.A week later after I told him I liked 1 of his samples he gave me a new price over $1000 higher. When I asked why it was higher, I was told that it is what it is and thats the price. I further asked what material he gave me tge original quote for and was not given an answer except that he didnt know and would not explain anything any further. He then proceeded to say that he had another call and that he would call right back. Of course he never did. Very unprofessional and didnt seem to care one bit about my business.I have since read other reviews that are very similar to mine. Wish I had read them first.I strongly recommend not bothering with this company

On the scheduled day on install; the crew was over two hours later than the time they gave (8-9am) and didnt arrive until almost 11am. When calling was told they were running a little late-- they DID NOT CALL US, we called them.Once they arrived they did the whole houses carpet as we had expected.Upon completion we noticed many scratches on our baseboards, and on the walls, ceiling and railing of our stairwell. This was immediately after Christmas so we were busy and didnt call to discuss the damage until end of January. (Had a new baby come in that time as well). We provided photos of the issues and informed them the following the worst areas are in the stairwell areas where they likely pulled the carpet up the stairs and scratched paint. There are also lots of nicks in baseboards but we didnt take photos of every one. We had paint done on 11/7/17 (~40 days prior to carpet install); so this isnt wear and tear on our house/paint! And we arent talking about where paint was pulled up fromThe carpet being pulled up. We knew and expected that but didnt expect walls and under-sides of ceiling and corners to get scraped. We never heard back from them on any type of discount or apology. I would not recommend this company!Didnt confirm our install date. We had to call!Late!Irresponsible for damage!

In 43 years of multiple renovations and carpeting installations, this company got it right. Lenny knew exactly what I was thinking and brought in the samples he thought would work best in the house. Products...excellentInstallers...outstanding.

We had Santora Carpet replace our basement carpet after some flooding occurred and they did an excellent job. It was great quality carpet at an affordable cost. The installation was expertly done! I would highly recommend this company!

Original post (2018):Santora has re-floored nearly our entire home over the past 6 weeks. They have installed hard wood, carpet, a stair runner, and indoor/outdoor carpet in our 3-season room. They are fast, professional and do beautiful work. They took great care to keep our home in good shape. They are family run and may not have all the bells and whistles of a bigger company, but this certainly saves their customers money. I would use them again, and highly recommend them!Addendum 8/2021-I am changing my review of Santora from 5 stars to 1.I cannot believe what terrible service I received and how incredibly rude the owner, Lenny Santora has been. We have been planning a wood flooring project x 4 months. Communication has been poor. Despite 6 attempts to get an updated estimate (original estimate was for more than we ended up doing) for the project (by phone and email), the project began without a formal estimate. The communication on the day of was mediocre, but we were told that there would be no varnish on day 1, and we could sleep in the house. We were shocked to find that they changed the plan on day 1 and we had to scramble to find housing for our family of six, as the house was uninhabitable. The final product is good, not great, but good enough. The HUGE problem is with the owner. He called to ask about the final outcome and go over the bill, which was much more than expected. When I questioned it, he raised his voice and was outlandishly RUDE. I know this year has been hard, but there is NO reason to treat a customer like that. His final estimate was wrong, which he eventually realized. So his outburst, was 100% out of line.No apology, no thank you.Im honestly embarrassed that I have recommended this company in the past, because I would NEVER give him my business or anyone elses. Please avoid!

The installation of my vinyl plank kitchen floor was poorly installed as some of the planks became loose and were sticking up to the point where you could trip over them. There were five pimples in the floor that upon removal of the planks it was discovered that there five nails that were sticking up but the installer laid the planks over the nails without removing them. Two of the stair nosings became lose and came off. Numerous calls were made to Lenny Santora by our general contractor but Santora NEVER came out to repair or replace the floor. Since the floor became a safety hazard we had to have the floor removed and a new floor and stair nosings installed by a different firm. A demand letter to reimbursed us for our additional cost was never answered. I have never dealt with such a negligent and irresponsible company. We will be pursuing the matter in court.

We have used Satora carpets since 1995 for all our carpet needs! They are fantastic! The service is fast, the work is excellent, the owner and his son are very knowledgeable and helpful. They will help you pick the best carpet and padding for your specific need whether it is price, quality, style, or durability. I have recommended them to many friends and family and everyone agrees, Santora Carpets are the best price and best experience in carpet installation.

Rescheduled it for the next day at 11 a.m. 11:05 get a phone call telling me they are about 5-10 minutes away around the corner at 11:35 they finally show up. 30 mins after their late call. Lenny Santora was incredibly unprofessional. The end result of my interaction with this company was that the owner, Lenny Santora, yelled at me over the phone and then hung up on me, after a misunderstanding that resulted in him not doing the job he had agreed to do.I dont believe Lenny lied intentionally, but his negligence led to the problem and rather than take ownership of it, he lashed out at his customer. He was ruder than I have ever encountered an owner of a small business to be. I have never been yelled at over the phone by an owner of a business for a mistake they made. Here are the details, if you care to read on.Lenny was a recommendation from a friend, largely because of how reasonably priced he is. I called and spoke with Lenny about doing the flooring in my condo. When I spoke with him I told him there was asbestos tile in my condo. This was a fact I mentioned to every flooring provider when I called, because I knew it was a deal breaker for some flooring guys. Fast forward, after my conversation with Lenny, he sent a guy out to my place to provide me with a bid and I hired him to do the job.My first issue: He last minute changed the date he had agreed to do the job, because he did not have the materials in stock. It would have been nice to know that up front, but not a big deal to me at the time. We rescheduled for 2 weeks later. My second issue: When his crew showed up and I reminded them about the asbestos tile, they did not know about the asbestos tile. As a result, they called Lenny and Lenny refused to do the job over liability concerns. I was frustrated because I had told Lenny about the asbestos tile when we first spoke. However, I understand he is concerned about his business and wants to protect it.Lennys crew was very nice and professional and they moved my furniture back in place (after having moved it out of the way in preparation for removing the flooring). They did, however, seem to not know the details of the job or the fact that the quote included baseboard. However, they were very nice. I just think there was a gap in communication within the company.Shortly after his crew left Lenny called me back and yelled at me over the phone. He was upset because his crew and his company lost a days work. He lectured me on this fact. It was as if he suddenly flipped a switch and lost his temper and felt the need to call me and give me a piece of his mind. After yelling at me, I told him that I had told him about the asbestos tile and that I didnt appreciate giving up a Saturday to have them leave the job. He told me I had not told them about the tile and then hung up on me. Unprofessional.I would not have written this review if Lenny had not called me back and yelled at me over the phone. I could not believe he did that. It was not right.I believe any consumer considering giving this guy their time and money deserves to know what they may be getting into. An unethical, unprofessional, rude business owner. There is a reason he is in business by competing on price. Just remember, you get what you pay for.
