I cant confirm whether or not JP Weaver does good work, but they do have customer service issues which clearly begin at the top. I came to JP Weaver because of a previous interaction with the Glendale Historical Society. My project involved a small plaster from an old movie theater that I was looking to have cleaned and restored. I began the process of obtaining a quote using Weavers online web form. I then spent the next six weeks working with a largely unhelpful and unresponsive salesperson. I sent emails, photos of my project (on more than one occasion) and even stopped by with the project for Weaver to inspect in-person. When we finally reached the point of my dropping off the project and paying their 100% deposit I was told to ask for Rob who is one of their owners. Rob had no idea I was coming and didnt seem particularly interested in helping when I met him. When I asked to speak with him privately it appeared to annoy him and he stood for a time just looking at me. When I shared how frustrating it had been working with his company his response was Im not sure what you want me to do about it. (Uh, Rob, youre an owner of the company. You can do a lot.) When I elaborated further he attempted to push past the conversation and get into the project. At no point did he exhibit any concern for my frustrations with his staff or quote process. With Rob there were no apologies, no words of welcome and no indication that he really wanted my business. Instead, Rob looked genuinely annoyed with me. At one point he did suggest that the company has some issues but that its not my concern. If it takes six weeks and countless emails and calls to get a simple quote resolved Id suggest it is my concern. I ultimately decided to take my business elsewhere as breakdowns like this nearly always predict further frustrations and disappointments.
