I went there to find a riding crop to go with a costume Im putting together. Ive already got the mask I need; I bought it online for about $8, but Halloween Extreme has it for about $25. I asked them if they had riding crops, and they showed me a witchs broom crop (whatever that is). It was $15 and it wasnt really what I was looking for, but its the closest thing Ive found so far so I debated buying it for about 10 minutes.I decided I didnt want to pay $15 for something I didnt really want, so I put it back and went to leave. Then the manager stopped me and asked where it was. I told him I put it back on the rack and he let me leave. I dont know how he thought I would have been able to steal it (if I had wanted to), but apparently he did. What I really didnt like was the fact that an ad for the store seems to have the exact kind of riding crop I was looking for in it. How can you advertise something you dont even sell? Theyve got a pretty good variety of costumes in general, but most of them are pretty overpriced.
Terrible. I came here to look for a costume, and instead of greeting me with a hi or hello, a man snaps at me, informing me that Ill have to put my bookbag behind the front counter. To add injury to insult, their dressing stalls are makeshift ply wood in a mixed-gender room, with see-through fabric curtains, and you are allowed to bring in one costume at a time while a staff member waits right outside your little changing area. Super uncomfortable being able to see everything going on outside of the changing area through you changing curtain. I will not be returning.
Very good selection.
Crappy and expensive costumes
