Great local food pantry! Volunteered here many times, it is very well managed and maintained! Happy Eagan is able to have the Open Door.

Great volunteers. Following covid 19 guidelines to a T. But some of there food is expired. Even frozen meat. Not good!

The Open Door has a great mix of full-time staff and volunteers. They have partnerships with several community businesses that provide the means for supporting those who are going through challenging periods. This makes them a strong player in meeting societys needs, and is a compelling reason for supporting them.What they do not offer (and its not entirely their fault) is a range of ethnically sensitive alternatives. That may be something they may want to investigate, in order to improve an already-strong service to the community.

Lately food has been old some mold on the food but otherwise great

Worked volunteer shift sorting and stocking donations with many donations in this season of giving ( Christmas) A wide variety of canned goods, including pet food for those clients with an animal. Consider coming in and landing a hand for a shift!

Food shelf. Wonderful staff, they treat clients with respect and allow them their dignity. Practical, good foodstuffs along with some special items those in need might not normally get to have. They never treat a client like theyre asking for a handout or lazy. One staffer told me once, Everyone needs a little help now and again. No one makes assumptions or judges. A wonderful, worthy ministry and outreach, that I would encourage others to support when they can, and seek out if they have need.

The volunteers are always so welcoming and helpful. Its not easy to ask for help or use services like a food shelf. Im not exactly nailin it in adulthood and get a tinge of shame even posting here... The awesome people at Open Door are totally cool with that tho

Usually dont have any problems with these people but I just called to confirm an appointment for tomorrow and the lady that answered the phone was down right rude.

Just got out of the hospital last night at12am from very bad food poisoning from this place, I new it to i had a bad feeling on my way there n then end up in the hospital with blood drawn and the whole9 yard if it werent for the white stuff that number my insides Idk what I would have done but I dont appreciate puking pooping everywhere crying and almost fainting to the point where i was popping in my bed and in the bathtub because I was so weak and exhausted from being so sick Im done with this place its not fair I always ask them y they have expired stuff on the shelf from like 3 years ago
