Great small town hardware store with friendly, helpful service. Gift shop is terrific, too; locals shop here!

BUYER BEWARE!!We had the absolute worst experience with this company. Do NOT purchase any products or materials from them. We are now stuck with damaged and poorly manufactured cabinets and no resolution. They do not stand behind their products or support their customers. The treatment weve received from the owners has been disgraceful. Weve wasted so much time and money because of this company. STAY AWAY!!

They get my paint color just right.

A great place to purchase all your tools, materials, lumber etc. They staff are very friendly and eager to assist you with anything you need. Upon opening its doors in 1903 it has built a reputation like none other and still going strong. Theres more than enough parking and a respectable lumberyard. With just about anything you could need, then some.

CONSUMER BEWARE of this company! They do not care about the customer satisfaction or quality control. Do not buy cabinets from Building Center of Gloucester, they will oversell you on quality and deliver a mess. They will waste you time and your money. Atrocious.

Shout out to the Hardware Department team! Thank you for getting my sister & I set up with new gas grills over a hectic holiday weekend with limited manpower. Great teamwork, knowledge and follow up lead by Brian, with support from Mark and a surprise delivery from Mike:) Forget Home Depot, call or go to BC first....Stay Local!

I want to like this store but theyre always closed! They should put in the work and open up normal hours like Home Depot. People want to do projects when they get out of work. Todays world is competitive - put in the hours guys!

We called for a replacement screen door for 2 sliders. Someone came out, measured etc. and said the would get back to us. After a month and a half, we called again only to be told they needed to come back out to measure again. They never showed up so we called back just to make sure they had not forgotten about us. NO call back. We tried the Essex location, and they also promised to call us to schedule about a month ago, and we have yet to hear back. I was told these guys were these best, but they are far from it:(

Good alternative to Home Depot for 95% of my needs. Fair prices, plenty of parking, enough staff who know the products. Theres a door/window showroom if thats what youre interested in.

This is a great local place to get everything you need for your home improvement projects or random things that break in the home. They have a good selection of supplies, and make going to Home Depot often unecessary. The staff are knowledgeable and helpful and wont leave you hanging to fend for yourself. Definitely recommend going here if you live on the island.

The Gloucester bc is a full service building supply store. Staff is knowledgeable and you can find just about anything here. Id highly recommend coming to this store over the Essex store, which is much smaller and has awful hours.
