We were delighted to find this beautiful store while staying in the area. We love to cook fresh pasta when we can find it, and this was some of the best we have ever had. I told my husband that I dont think I will be able to have any other pasta while I am on the North Shore again. Given how much this pasta elevated a simple meal to wow territory, I thought the price was quite reasonable.

I’ve been a fan of Pastaio Via Corta from afar for a while now (via the gram) and today I finally got my chance to visit in-person! The shop did not disappoint. The variety of Italian provisions was unbeatable and Danielle’s knowledge of the origins of the products that she carries is very impressive. Grazie mille, Danielle! PS. Please bring back the wine toss.

Incredibly fresh, delicious pasta and homemade sauce! The freshest and best for the value castelvetrano olives anywhere, no holds barred. Other antipasto delicacies too! Daniela has such a deep knowledge of her product and can tell you absolutely anything you need or want to know about every olive oil she carries and the farmer who grows the olive- when it was pressed, when is the height of the season, best time to buy, what are the notes of the oil, and what is the best value if that is of concern. Worth every dollar, even if you live in a budget.

Wonderful little Italian specialty store, right on Main St in Gloucester. We buy hand made pasta here regularly and it is some of the best I have had anywhere (including some of the best Italian restaurants in the country). Dannielle is the owner and makes the pasta herself. You can tell it is a labor of love. She also sells wonderful olives, canned goods and wonderful wines that are mostly organic! She is a wealth of information about food and is very kind. She is hapy to talk with you and answer questions. We love supporting her as a small business owner.

Beautiful shop and from what I read online, great quality and care goes into the pasta making. However our experience visiting for the first time was slightly soured by the owner who seemed annoyed to face customers with rookie pasta questions. Her mother however was a perfectly pleasant ambassador for the shop and seemed interested in helping us.

The pasta here is as fresh as can be with changing selections every day. The store owner and pasta maker is Danielle who is a delight to converse with and knows a lot about food and travel. I picked up tips about where to eat in Brooklyn and the street art scene in Bushwick, Cambridge, Miami and Philly! Definitely a great find in Gloucester and reminds me of the cozy pasta places in Italy!
