While I ate my 🍦 ice-cream, I listened to church music 🎶 and two Italian (!) woman yell to each other.

Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. They offer samples and have lots of vegan options, everything we tried was delicious and the serving sizes were much larger than expected so even my small ice cream was a heck of a lot of ice cream. Great experience all around, perfect for our summer road trip. They even had good knowledge of other vegan restaurants around town and told us where we could get some dinner. Also located in a cute neighborhood for walking around. Loved it 😁

Phenomenal! These folks make their own ice cream. Even the waffle cone is made right when you order. Flavors are changing all time and are amazing! Well definitely come back!

Great place to get ice cream after a day at the beach! There is parking at the baseball field across the street .They have Richardsons ice cream as well as a variety of homemade flavors of their own. Not only do they have ice cream but they have homemade ice cream cookie sandwiches, ice cream filled cannoli and an ice cream taco! You cant go wrong with any option!

I had the pleasure of meeting Julia and Ruby at the window the other day. Originally, I wanted a sundae but I was informed there are only pre- packaged pints for the winter time. The girls gave me a sundae with everything on the side so when I went home I could put it all together. I just finished the delicious sundae and will be coming back for more soon.

You think you’ve had the “best ice cream.” But until you’ve had Holy Cow, you haven’t experienced the best yet. All of their flavors TASTE like the foods they’re made after. The shortbread millionaire has chewy and flavorful shortbread cookies in it. Banana foster has bananas and caramel and tastes like the dessert. Make the trip to Gloucester

The ice cream is good but the service and other customers make this a horrible experience. I was waiting in a small line behind two other customers when a group of 8 arrived behind me. They did not observe 6ft if distancing and were immediately in my personal space. I ordered two cones and was told to wait to the side by the girl in the window. This group of 8 began asking for samples and ordering. They started getting their orders before I did. When I did get mine I Had to squeeze between them to grab them from the window. Then as I was crossing the street the ice cream from one of my cones fell off into the road. I didn’t even bother going back because the window was crowded with this group.How hard is it to make sure your customers have their order before moving on to the next?

Good thing they have great product because today my friend and I experienced the worst customer service experience EVER!!!!!!!! The girl at the window was rude, condescending, and did not know inventory. The woman in front of me in line had a daughter with special needs, she placed a simple ice cream order the girl at the register was so rude to her and was making things so much more complicated and in the end didnt get it right. While I was placing my order the girl at the window looked over at the daughter who was upset for not having gotten what she wanted, rolled her eyes and said she clearly needs help. She gave me a hard time as well as every costumer I witnessed. She had attitude, and made it the worst experience I have EVER had at holy cow let alone ANY ice cream place. If this were my first time visiting holy cow I assure you it would be my last!

This place brings me back to my childhood every time. I love what the new owner has done to pay homage to the original holy cow, while still forging his own way. The vegan chocolate ice cream is my favorite, Im glad to have some non dairy options nearby

This was my birthday outing. What a range of treats they offer.. lots to choose from, even for those avoiding dairy. Service was slow with just one person on duty, but they did the best they could for us.

Took the drive here after seeing everyone post about this place and being tired of that ice cream place that shall not be named on 114 in Middleton. It lives up to the hype and then some. Go try for yourself - flavors and quality you won’t find anywhere else.

The staff are kind and helpful. Its a little small and its in a slightly sketchy area but dont let it deter you (literally a kids park right next to it)! The homemade flavors are always great and the portions are gargantuan. Enjoy!

BEST ICECREAM EVER. . . EVER. If you don’t live in Gloucester and are wondering if it’s worth the drive, your answer is ABSOLUTELY. Their ice cream is sooooo beyond creamy, and SO much flavor. The coffee Oreo is my fave, the coffee flavor is so rich and bold. The salted caramel cookie is like a party in your mouth. If you like cinnamon the cinnamon churro is def your choice, or if Chocolate peanut butter is your go to, you won’t be disappointed with the peanut butter truffle, I very rarely find peanut butter ice cream anywhere! Best ice cream on the island !!!

Here for the first time. Staff friendly and helpful. Waffle cones made on demand lots of Ice Cream flavors. Portions were large. A small is a full double scoop! We would highly recommend.

Made the trek from Boston after seeing some friends post non-stop on Instagram about how awesome this place is. Did not disappoint! Called the day before and pre-order 4 pints so we knew the flavors we wanted would be available. They sell out quick! Cold Brew Oreo and Cinnamon Churro will be my go to’s every time we head home from a Gloucester beach day now. Worth the drive!

We went on July 4th after dinner. My husband and I were pleasantly surprised! The ice cream was so creamy! I got the coffee toffee frozen yogurt and was pleasantly surprised by the chunks of toffee! We even enjoyed the rest of the cotton candy flavor our children had! We highly recommend this place!

Very large portions (though typical for Gloucester ice cream). The orange cardamom was excellent, and you could tell they used real strawberries in the strawberry ice cream. A few odd flavors like pineapple cilantro.

Only 2 stars because the ice cream is good. Service is terrible. There was one couple in front of us and it took the cashiers 15 min to do our order. They were out of 5 flavors on a Saturday afternoon and kept messing up our order.

Wow this place is awful. There were 2 girls working behind the counter. One knew what she was doing the other didnt. It took A HALF HOUR for them to make 3 ice creams for the people in front of us. Now theres a line out the door. We get up there and in the middle of taking her order she leaves the counter and starts making my daughters ice cream. Mid scoop she DROPS the scoop on the floor, picks it up then goes to continue using it. We left. How on earth does this place have good reviews?! Total nightmare.

I love how you can take as many samples as you want! Overall this is my favorite ice cream place in Gloucester and I recommend going!

I am a fine dining chef from the city, and have been looking forward to trying holy cow for several weeks. I am happy to report the coffee frappe I had did not disappoint, and even exceeded my very high expectations. The space is creatively decorated, boldly branded, clean and friendly. I look forward to trying many other flavors on my subsequent visits to gloucester.

COLDBREW is the best Ive ever had here! Always fresh and delicious cold brew (and I have high standards for my coffee) The cereal shakes are to die for with a variety of flavors such as fruity pebbles, Frosted Flakes and Cinnamon Toast Crunch! The cookies are baked fresh every day and the best icecream sandwiches in the area. My favorite is the blueberry cobbler ice cream sandwich or mega Reeses. Owner is delightful and is always making sure things are running right at the cafe. Clean, delicious and friendly!

Hidden Gem in Gloucester! Delicious icecream, fun shakes and icecream sandwiches and the best cold brew iced coffee I have ever had. Happy, attentive staff who will make you laugh and brighten your day.

I asked the attendant for a sample of the lemon macaroon. She took a used sample spoon from a dirty plastic cup on the counter labeled used spoons and used it to give me the sample. That is unsanitary and certainly contaminated the lemon macaroon ice cream. Who knows what other flavors have been sampled with used spoons? I will not return.

Delicious ice cream (we had the taco, which was yummy with its soft waffle tortilla) and good smoothies too. Worth the short walk from the water.
