I’ve never been very loyal to any one car dealership but that has changed with my last visit. I only went in for an oil change, however the staff at AutoNation Subaru West in Golden absolutely won my heart! You might ask how can anything having to do with an oil change win someone’s heart? It’s the people there. All of them. Jon in service, and Scott in customer care, to name only two, are some of the most caring people out there. I had a very difficult thing happen while waiting for my car to be serviced and these two men went above and beyond to assist me. To be clear, my “difficult thing” had nothing to do with my car or with Subaru! The very compassionate people who work at AutoNation Subaru West noticed I needed some help and jumped in because they are kind human beings. I used to shop for my auto services with price being my number one deciding factor, but not any more. AutoNation Subaru West in Golden has won my loyalty and my business! Never underestimate what kindness to another human being can do! Oh, and the oil change was done perfectly, they checked my whole car for trouble, kept things clean, did it quickly, were very professional and I am very satisfied! I will be going back again and again.

Wow great people and what a selection of Jeeps...we just happend to find a used Gladiator that was very much in our price range and was loaded. I came in here today to look at a 2010 Chrysler Town and Country. And honestly this was the best experience I’ve had in an auto dealership. They’re not pushy, they aren’t in your face trying to get you to buy something. They are patient. And even though I didn’t end up purchasing this vehicle and couldn’t agree on a trade in value( even though I still want the van now) I give this place 5 stars for hospitality and professionalism. This is the first auto dealer I have been to where even though I didn’t buy anything, the sales manger still took the time and went out of his way for thanking us for coming in to shop. Well done to them for great customer service which a lot of auto dealers lack.

I was interested in two of their used cars, but for some reason they post stock photos instead of real pictures of the car. I chatted via their site, asking for photos, and they wanted to email them to me. When I asked if there was a reason photos hadnt been uploaded to the listing, because I dont like giving my contact info to dealers before Im ready to buy, they promptly ended the chat. I was also interested in what was advertised as a green Jeep, only to realize it was a stock photo and the actual car theyre selling is listed as white. Do better.

However, I was disappointed in the dealership/Subaru when it came to the final purchase price and warranty, where Subaru attempted to charge me a hardship fee and wouldnt give me the warranty information to review prior to purchasing my car. The haggling for the warranty was unnecessary and a waste of time too.

Sent here for airbag recall and given an appointment time showed up 15 minutes before appointment and was told 1 other car was in front of me 2 hours later had not started on my car. I said I could not wait all day give me my car back I would reschedule with factory 😩 amazingly enough car was finished in 25 minutes. With a courtesy inspection of defective equipment and a 7000.00 dollar repair needed report.

Visiting AutoNation is a pleasant experience. They are polite and helpful. Calling them is a whole different matter. The telephone agents are curt, unhelpful, and treat you like you are a bother.Again, in person, they are polite and work with you on every issue.

I wouldnt go to this dealership because of the pricing. I had the control arm bushings replaced on my 2014 Subaru Forester. I contacted 3 other companies to compare pricing and Autonation Subaru west was far more expensive than even other dealerships. Groove Subaru would have cost me $110 less. An independent service center would have saved me over $300. The work was preformed quickly and on time. Customer service was so so. When I asked about the excessive pricing, I was brushed off and told that is what it is. When I mentioned the other dealerships being less expensive no consultation with a service manager was even offered.

Love these people...great customer service!!!I was told by another out of state dealership that I would need my brakes replaced next time I was due for an oil change. Mentioned that to the folks at AutoNation, they checked the brakes, said they were still good, changed the oil, and I was good to go. Gotta love an honest company!!

Ive discovered that going to the dealer can be the same cost for an oil change as the local fast change places. This time I was able to get other service done at the same time. I was told it would take a little less than two hours. An hour later they came to the waiting room to tell me that the car was ready. Which was a shame because I was having a great conversation with someone in the waiting room. Subaru owners are the best.

We just bought our second Subaru from AutoNation Subaru West in Lakewood, CO. The staff is always so friendly, eager to help and answer any questions, assist with any and all vehicle service needs. They make for such an enjoyable, easy, and positive purchasing and maintenance experience.

On April 24 we signed a deposit to purchase a brand new Crosstrek Limited. We had been looking for several weeks and did not enter into this lightly or without reservations. Our salesperson, Esteban, was clearly overbooked with other clients which made things difficult since we had our two children with us. We were patient and appreciated the no-pressure tactics, although it was more by circumstance than intention. After some haggling, we arrived at a price, and agreed to wait on a model with our preferred specifications. Esteban said that there was one on the ground and 4-5 more on the way and it would not be more than a week, 2 tops, to get the car we wanted. Flash forward to today and its been over 2 weeks with no end in sight. Not only do we not have a date, or even an estimation on when we can take delivery, but according to Esteban they cannot even track the vehicles which I find hard to believe. Its a good thing were not in a hurry and still have access to another car.EDIT: We were contact by the dealership about how they could make this right. We worked with the GM, Brian, and another sales person, Sarah, who made sure we were treated fairly and explained how the deposit system worked. We appreciate their transparency and we feel much better about the service we received.

My two-year-old Subaru Outback, 10,000 miles, was found to have several oil leaks on difficult to reach parts of the car—not a great advert for Subaru, but I have had other Subarus and they are great cars. The work required substantial dismantling of the engine. This AutoNation dealer dealt with the warranty repair sympathetically and efficiently, providing an equivalent ride for the period it took for the repair and keeping me abreast of progress. They checked the rest of the vehicle and even gave it a wash before I collected it. A great service experience.

The service staff here is the best. I have taken 2 Subies here in the last 16 years. They have survived multiple buyouts. Autonation is the latest. I have called them from WY with concerns and they gave me good advice. I have asked which repair is most important when had to choose and they were honest and fair. I brought my car in for 90K mile service, plus an A/C re-charge and alignment. The tech did a great job and had everything finished in just over three and a half hours. Power washed the engine for me. Staff are always friendly and helpful at this location. I was a little disappointed that after paying major dollars for a major service, they couldnt run it through the car wash for me.

My car buying process was very low pressure and noninvasive. I really appreciated the fact that contact was limited and I didnt feel like I was being perused or forced to make an appointment to come in. I looked at different models over about two weeks and received all the documentation I requested via email. When I arrived at the dealership, the models were ready to compare and drive with no time limits. Once I made my decision, the process was quick and easy. There was no need to negotiate or argue over extras and everything was explained with honesty when it came to value/need with no push back. My salesman Dennis Sharon was awesome! We were shopping for a first car for our son. While John was bringing us a used Honda Civic that was in our price range, we saw a beautifully maintained Hyundai Sonata that my son thought was out of his price range. It was, just barely, but he was in love. The previous owner had meticulously maintained and cared for the car. The sales process was painless. Will definitely be back when we need another car.

I had issues with my drain plug being rounded off - unknown where that happened. Everyone greets you when you arrive, and though I had to wait a few minutes to check in (I was early), folks were apologetic and eager to help me as soon as they could. I had been told to expect to be without my Crosstrek for the whole day, but was called in less than 3 hours that my car was ready. I love my Subaru and it is so nice that, while it rarely needs anything other than routine maintenance, I have a friendly and reliable place to have that done.I just had my Cross trek serviced for a recall and had the same great experience. My Subaru repair experience with AutoNation West was extremely good.The service department was courteous, efficient, and professional in getting my car diagnosed and repaired while I waited.This location is always very busy, yet they make each person feel valued.I appreciate their efforts and work ethic.

We arrived a bit early but Noel started the process while finishing up with other customers. He was knowledgeable about the new features of the Outback and differences between our 2018 and the current models. The whole process was even easier than our experience with him three years ago.

AutoNation Subaru West went above and beyond in ALL aspects of the car deal (definitely go see Esteban if you are in the market ... he and Jillian (in finance) were superior in every way). To get into specifics - Esteban made it such a great experience and made sure I was able to reserve a specific car that was hard to find ... I literally would not have gotten that car without his proactive help; they gave me a very good price on my trade-in; Jillian helped tremendously in getting some odd financial matters addressed (long story but, thanks to Jillian, well be able to close on our new house ... thats how great they are!); AND everyone there made sure we had the EXACT car we wanted (not just one that was kind of close). There was a lot of trying to up sell me while I was in (I understand its a business) but all I had planned was the recall work. I haven’t had my rex sound this good in many years, and I am the original owner. Thank you for being an honest business and employing honest and good people. Thank you! I most definitely will be back for future service and eventually my new rex.More details follow: I determined after self analysis (visual inspection, lab tested oil analysis, lab tested coolant, and visual inspection of spark plugs), that another “unnamed” local dealership lied about the services I needed. Luckily I’m “slightly” mechanically inclined and was able to self access the issues. I’d also like to mention that the service center at AWS is kept very well and everyone remains masked even though they dont have to. There are additional services items that AWS mentioned which I can also visually confirm need repair (and knew about some of these prior to them looking at it and did not mention these to AWS prior). Thank you again for being honest good people!

When scheduling 12 month service we were told the shuttle service was not operating due to COVID and we would need to provide our own transportation for drop-off and pickup. When I expressed my disappointment to the service manager when I picked up the car I was told their shuttle service has been shut down but they do offer free lift service I was further disappointed we were not offered this option. While I have no complaints with the service I was not satisfied with the service experience we were promised when we purchased the vehicle...free shuttle service if necessary.

Very pleased w my car shopping experience. Had been at it for 6 weeks at various dealers and private owners. Was becoming quite despondent. The service center at AutoNation Subaru West is exceptional!I experienced electrical problems with my Subaru Outback and called the service department. Jon Phillips reassured me. When my vehicle was towed in, Jon called me to let me know that it had arrived. He called consistently to keep me apprised of the progress while it was being serviced. I was even offered a loaner car to help me through the time that my vehicle was there. I am confident in their expertise and appreciate the great service from Jon Phillips.

Had to schedule a week out, but thats much better then in the past. Warranty item. Repair went very well. Got notice before they initiated the work. Informed me of another issue that I elected to do on my own. Overall, very good communication and the car got fixed.

Kyle was very professional Took care of the initial steps in getting the process going .Then when my car was ready Fidel took care of getting the paper work taken care of and returning my car all I all you have a good team working together for the customer

Took several weeks to get appointment. I requested a quote on replacing the turn signal cover BEFORE my appointment and no one called. No quote, no reminder of appointment. When arrived couldnt find appointment. Got me a lyft home, that was nice. Reset computer to fix issues which wiped out all of my settings, my xm radio, channels that it took me hours to save & removed my connected phones & phone book. There was no warning that this would happen nor mention of it when I left. I dont have hours to call xm & set everything back up. I wouldnt have allowed this to be part of the service or I would have at least taken a photo of my channels if I had known. Staff was friendly & appointment took the amount if time I was told it would.

Thank you for everything,my daughters car was making crazy sounds and I drove it in to autonation in golden,they took great care of the car and myself! They gave me a loaner car for the weekend due to a car part needed to be ordered and car was ready on Monday. New tires,brakes,rotors,ect. Thank goodness for great customer care,from start to finish! Its a miracle in this day and age that people can be so great at their jobs and kind and caring,I just cant thank all of you enough!!!!!🙋‍♀️🚗

The staff at AutoNation Subaru West was very respectful and professional. One of the issues I had listed was fixed by Fidel before the car was inside the service garage. The work was finished quickly and they informed me of the future scheduled maintenance. Good experience.
