They are very friendly and very helpful. Although they didnt warn us how absolutely wonderful the donuts are. She said the Cronuts are very good. If they are as good as the donuts I cant wait to go back and try them! The donuts are so yummy and filling. They arent light and fluffy, they are cake like and filling. So good. Cant wait to go back and try more.

Just saw this donut shop on our way to the furniture store. That time me & husband are craving for donuts. So we gave it a try. I love the color & the ambiance of the place. I finally found the best donuts in NC. I tried the Strawberry Cheesecake its best with coffee..not that sweet. This is a must try peeps. When u go to Goldsboro..do visit Funky Fresh Donut shop. My daughter and I just went to buy donuts here for the first time today and they were amazing!!! The turtle donut may be one of the best donuts Ive had so far. Cant wait to go back.

First visit. Liked that the donuts are warm. Lots of variety. They were good. Took several minutes to get the donuts. They had just opened and I would have thought the bathroom would be cleaner. Trash can full. While waiting the “jungle jam” was playing with some not nice lyrics. Employee did leave and turned the station. I’m glad he took note of that. Friendly. Only have coffee with flavored creamers but, told they are getting a latte machine soon I believe. Probably would just stop at Dunkin Donuts nearby as they have donuts and more drink selection but, if you are looking for more of a Duck Donut experience I’d say go there. Wish they offered sodas.

I love when a company name reflects what theyre actually good at. This place has delicious gourmet donuts for a very fair price. My favorite has to be the apple pie donut, that thing is full of flavor. They offer coffee, (my fiance and I agree that it is blueberry flavored), also for a good price. Furthermore, Ive tried about 6 different donuts on separate occasions and devoured all of them.I will say that the staff works very hard and it is obvious that they care deeply about what they do. They have my support, and if you try a donut, theyll most likely have yours too.

Very friendly! Doughnuts cooked when ordered. Some pastries made day of but all very fresh! Eat them fresh as they arent as good the day after. I always prefer locally owned businesses and this is no exception. Theres a time for a KK doughnut but when you need that step above FF is worth stopping in for.

We went there today are first time going in there. The lady was super nice and professional. You go in and order off a paper menu which is quick and easy then you place your order and pay. We went out to our vechicle and the lady brought them out to us in less then 5 mins. Got home and tried them they look good and taste great also. We will go back. The price isnt that bad either. Put yes they are open even though the sign says coming soon. So go in and try.

These may be my new favorite donuts! Prepare yourself, I am going to say it...these are better than Krispy Kreme. I know, steady yourself. We were there on Wednesday and my debit card would not work. I couldnt figure out why was it declined, knowing money is in my account. So,the young black guy behind the counter was trying to make fun of my situation and made a sarcastic remark around the other workers he was very loud about it. And I did not appreciate it at all. Super cute spot. They have a display showing all the choices. You grab a small clipboard and menu from the cashier, Mark how many of each you want, hand it back. They dont make them til you choose. The donuts are more of a cake donut consistency if you usually go to a chain spot like Krispy. The Blueberry powdered sugar one (top right) is aaammaazzinnnng. Our kids said their favorite was the Oreo one (the three in the middle row). They also have a wall of gorgeous fresh flowers like nothing Ive seen anywhere near here.

I dropped in today after having just learning of its existence from a sign as I was turning in to get dinner at Bonfires. I was greeted as I entered by who I assume was the owner and she made sure I knew what they had to offer. I decided to try their Maple Bacon and their Piña Colada offerings. Im not a huge fan of cake based donuts but these were still excellent and I plan to return in the future and try some of their other offerings.While I was on my drive home after picking these up I contemplated about what if someone made a savory doughnut with grilled sauteed onions for topping. If someone could make it, Im sure it would be this shop.I hope this place becomes a regular meeting place for people, when people can meet up without worry again. Its small, cozy, and a comfortable atmosphere.

For a cake donut, its decent. They were warm when we got them. They have a decent cake taste. If youre into stuff on your donuts, look no further. If you prefer a great donut without all the fuss, try another place. Cake donuts are my favorite. But I felt these were lacking in donut flavor. They should provide donuts that are just plain with a light glaze for those of us who dont like all the stuff on top. But everyone else seems to rave about them.

Funky Fresh Donuts is by far, the best donut shop I have ever been to. Donuts are hot and fresh when handed over. These donuts are everything I ever wanted a donut to be. Do yourself a favor and eat these, they make other donuts look like dog food. Lines will be out the door once people catch wind of this place.

My boyfriend and I purchased 6 donuts. The Lemon Old-Fashioned with Blueberry Glaze was exceptional! It had great texture being soft inside, but crunchy on the edges with the classic lemon and blueberry flavor combo. The other 5 cake donuts were just ok, with one being super-greasy on the bottom. Unfathomable to us was no coffee being served to accompany our donuts and having to stop at another donut shop for that.

OMG! These are the bessssst donuts I’ve ever had! Krispy Kreme and Dunkin’ Donuts have absolutely nothing on this amazing spot. Not only are the donuts to die for but the staff are amazing, you can just tell they’re good people and shout out to the owner of this magical place! Even before I went gluten free about 10 years ago, I did not like cakey donuts. But I loved yeasty donuts and have been on the lookout for good gluten free donuts. BUT let me tell you! These gluten free donuts are AMAZING! They are better even than my memory of Krispy Cream glazed donuts, and we know sometimes memory betrays how good things actually are.Now on to the service. I called a few times to make sure there were still gluten free donuts available and the staff are wonderful! They were quick and courteous and very helpful with my first order. Needless to say, they will come to know me because when they have gluten free donuts available, I will be by!

Amazing donuts! Cake doughnuts came out warm, made to order, and available in a great variety of flavors. Better than Duck Donuts in my opinion, and of a similar style. I had a few delicious donuts that created an odd paradox of simultaneously having had one donut too many and one donut too few.

We tried a few of the donuts and all I can say is YUM! One of the best craft donuts Ive ever had. The strawberry donut tasted like a shortcake thanks to the fresh berry on top. The blueberry-lemon made me miss summer time. And the chocolate pb was sweetly delicious. I was also pleasantly surprised to find a cup of Ethiopian Yirgacheffe coffee. My favorite! We cannot wait to go back and try new flavors!

I could say that we drove 600 miles for these donuts, but that’d be partially untrue. My mother-in-law had talked about Funky Fresh Donuts for weeks prior to our arrival. Naturally, we had to give it a try. She said, “Cronuts are the way of the future in the world of donuts.” There may have been some doubt, but I assure you now, that yes, they are the way of the future of donuts.I will admit, too, that I don’t typically stop for donuts anywhere. However, this place not only made me a fan of the crunchy layered, vanilla (?) glazed goodness of Cronuts; it has brought back my faith in the HOT moist bite of the freshly made donut; topped with quality ingredients (please, please try the Apple Pie donut, you’ll love it).Lastly, these folks are so friendly. Their bright personality really adds to the experience. I assure you, this’ll be a hotspot for our return to NC. They’ve the gift of true “Southern hospitality” and it’s refreshing like their donuts.

I love supporting small businesses but did not like these donuts. They were super small, the cake part of the donut had a very fried taste, and they were pricey for what you got.

Donuts were fresh and tasty. Only down fall is I have to wait till 10am to get these donuts.

You have not LIVED until youve had a Funky Fresh Cronut. OMG. The other donuts are delicious, too (light as air, tender, melt-in-your-mouth, and sweet and flavorful MADE TO ORDER cake donuts), especially the mango colada donut and the fruity pebbles donut, but the cronut is in a class of its own. Flaky and crunchy (but not too crunchy, more just perfectly crackly when you bite into all those paper-thin layers), buttery and melt-in-your-mouth out on the inside just like a croissant but lighter lighter that, drizzled in dripping warm glaze and powdered sugar. Honestly one of the top 5 yummiest things I have ever eaten in my life. The employees are really nice, too! Definitely made a loyal customer out of me.
