I can generally find what it need here. Employees vary widely in their helpfulness from amazing to useless, but there are more that are helpful than not. Pick through lumber carefully; DONT just grab and go unless you are buying firewood. If you have the option, I recommend going on a week day rather than a weekend. I generally get better help and find more stock on weekdays than weekends because the store serves the trades more than DIYers because thats where the money is.
Nice helpful staff. Some offer help, some greet you and when you ask for help they will try to help you out. I have ran into some good people which is a plus:)
They have everything and more. Loved the Halloween exhibits.
I had a great experience today with the best employee Ben in the electrical department. Hes name is Ben. He was the helpful person i ever got in home depot. Such an amazing person and how he help finding exactly what u r looking for
I would rate it better but the guy they sent to help me was not friendly or helpful. Im disabled and he expected me to push the big cart with a large AC unit by myself to checkout and to my car. The guy who helped me to the car was so friendly though, as was the checker.
Great selection and reasonable prices. People who work here are hard to find and arent very knowledgeable; if youre looking for advice its better to go to the Home Improvement Center in downtown SB.
This is the one who wants home improvement all products easily can get from this place
The store has lots of things to buy in ample supply. That is wonderful. But help is scarce. You almost have to chase someone down to help you. I think thats kind of been home depots history.
Helpful folks! I stopped in just about half an hour before closing. I live 40 minutes away so it was great that i could get help locating the tools & supplies i needed. Thanks, T
Staff were friendly quick to help me find what I needed.
Purchased an expensive BBQ grill based on the availability of same day delivery. The grill didnt arrive. Tracking is showing I should still expected yesterday. So I guess its still on-time, but I cant find my way back in time to go get it.I could have purchased the same grill for less money elsewhere, but would have to wait 4 days for it to arrive. Now that grill is out-of-stock.So in short, dont trust Home Depot to deliver on-time. Its just a trick to get your order.
Ordered two faucets for pickup at 7 am. Went there at 11 am. They were not ready for pick up and the lady told I could just go to the aisle and get them. It was impossible. None of the boxes contained what the label suggested. Pulling one out made the bottom of the box fall out with 4-5 faucets with it. After 20 min of searching I could only find one. Looks like nobody cares about the order on the shelves.
We had a great experience at this Home Depot. Easy to find some last minute supplies on moving day. This location was not busy which made the visit pleasant & fast. Thank you.
The home Depot is Right close by where I live and I go there every day for one thing or another cuz Im restoring a home and its the only place I go to because they have it on time and all the time or their order it quickly for you I cant get enough of home Depot.....juan
Terrible customer service. 2 guys watched me (a woman) load 8 bags of cement (50# each) by myself. I asked for help but one looked at me but did nothing and the other ignored me.
You can almost find anything, Martin is the best assisting to find what you need
Bad staff. my husband and I went to window shop a washer and dryer but we were not suer if we should buy a gas or electric dryer. We intended to drive back home to check before we purchasing anything. The staff told us to place an oder at the moment to secure the discounted price and if the dryer type was wrong, we could give her a call the next day to change the order. However, the next day when we called her to change the order, she told us she couldnt honor the price she promised yesterday.
One of my favorites! I love meeting up with my family and friends that like to go shopping with me there!
Pretty good HD. If you need it if they dont have it then they can get it.
I go here almost daily. But it seems lately no one can find what Im looking for and I end up wandering the store till I find it. Or theres just no one available. I went twice and one day to get some wood and have it cut. No one could do it. Thats not good.
Greeted by very kind employees. Store is very clean and good variety of household needs. My favorite HD
Employees came up and ask if I needed help! They had what I needed.
I really like this Home Depot, I go here at least twice a week and theyve usually got what I need in stock. I like the self checkout and for the most part the salespeople seem to know what theyre talking about. Shoutout to Jose who helped me in tile today thank you!
Its where I take my business and Ive never had one complaint.
This is the worst home depot from Simi Valley to Templeton...they never have what I need..very slow service..no customer service...always product damage..seems like they are always behind on new products..I always dred coming to this home depot..
The store is huge and they have just about anything you might be looking for at ok prices. Other than that, the store is disorganized/messy and often uncomfortably crowded during the pandemic. Its almost comical how non existent the customer service is.Out of the last 20-30 times I have been there, I have only once had an employee ask if I had any questions. On a recent trip the two employees that were on an aisle with me alone watching me trying to find a plumbing connection they were aghast when I asked them a question. Its so consistent across team members it makes me wonder if management specifically doesnt want people spending time on customer service..
I always enjoy the HD, but this one is way out of town, so it lost a star
Great help. Got what we needed. I like Home Depot
This home depot in Goleta is one of the main stores in the Goleta/ Santa Barbara area. I frequent it for items needed from cleaning supplies, plumbing, decore, painting and gardening. Sometimes its not easy to find an employee to help with a question or item, but they are helpful when asked. Parking is very adequate since this store is in a large shopping center. If Im not in this area, I will shop at the Home Improvement Center in the downtown Santa Barbara area instead.
The Goleta Home Depot is very similar to the many others Ive been to. It reminds me of the small old style hardware stores that sold a little bit of everything, but this place is on a massive dose of steroids. The place is huge. They sell most everything related to building and maintenance plus hardware, plumbing items, electrical, lumber, paint, and well, most everything. They have a good selection of plants and trees in the outdoor nursery section of the store plus all of the fertilizers and pest products. If you are a building professional or tradesman you may find the selection lacking. I have had hit or miss customer service and some of the associates are not knowable about the merchandise although the customer service is generally good.
Home depot has it down! There online pick up is fabulous! Self check out wow amazing talk about costumer service they got that down too! :)
I live near by, so that is great ...
They were super nice and very helpful.
Ben in Electrical is super helpful and really knows his stuff!
After a long day’s work of cleaning my house in Irvine, California, I decided to take a drive down to the Home Depot in Goleta. After hearing raving reviews about the paint department’s finest worker, Sehrish, I knew that I had to go see what the hype was all about. The paint on my wall was that of nothing short of terrible. I go up to Sehrish, and she goes, “Hello. My name is Sehrish, welcome to Home Depot, how can I help you?” I have never felt so willing to be helped by anyone in my life. The enthusiasm in which she asked that question made my mouth drop. I replied, “why yes, I would like you to recommend a paint that can cover the yellow stains on my white walls”. Digging back into her deep memory and extraordinary experience, she recommended the “Behr Marquee” paint. I got the one coat coverage guarantee that comes with it. I got it in the color of Antique White. When I went back home and painted my wall, I couldn’t help but recall the amazing customer service I received at Home Depot. Every-time I look at my wall, I am reminded of Sehrish and her painting recommendation. The manager of the entire establishment as well as the CEO of Home Depot should be nothing short of honored to have Sehrish as their painting department associate. The next time I call the HR department for Home Depot, I will give them a standing ovation over Face Time for hiring this amazing person and even better associate. May Allah shower his blessings on the Home Depot, the HR Department, and Sehrish. Thank you.
The website of the store is very helpful in pin-pointing the location of each item -- how else can we find these items within such a large selection? The store is for those who have done research and know generally what they need. Its operation is well streamlined to handle the high volume of customers, and returns of extra parts are done smoothly, with generous policies. Unfortunately, the high volume also means that it is not always easy to find someone to help. Before heading to the store, do your research online, and the entire experience will be pleasant.
The Home Depot. Five Star’s. Let’s Build It Again. Yes, I can go on. All “tag~lines” aside, Goleta’s Home Depot has enough space for everyone. Parking is ample and nested within the Camino Real Marketplace you can make this the perfect excuse for a family outing.
Always chaos no one can help you definitely needs knowledgeable people there to help
On 02/04/2021 I was extremely fortunate to have Josh assist me in the garden department. Excellent customer service.
Employee freaked when I walked up to ask her a question. Social Distancing she barked at me. Sweetie the aisle is not 6 ft wide. Im out with my 90 year old mother looking for light bulbs. Seriously do you think Im trying to get sick!!!! Things are very hard to find and associates point instead of taking you to find your item. Not the first time an associate was rude. Just not a fan. Unfortunately this is the only hardware store in Santa Barbara. Did I mention not a fan...
They have the rudest employee named Marcial. Beware he cuts blinds crooked and has the worst attitude.
We got blinds there. Diana helped us and cut them. Extremely nice helpful and friendly. Glad to do business with her
Needed double AA Batteries, and associate Eddy was very helpful, as my sight is not so good! Thanks Hone Depot, and associate Eddy....
Horrible and incompetent customer service + management. I was hurt in their store and they were very nonchalant about it. After choosing a drain cleaner, I unknowingly picked one up that was cracked along the lid. It spilled all over my hand, sleeve and floor, immediately burning me. As I walked to the front, I asked an associate to bring me to the manager, instead he takes me to a slow moving floor supervisor who said nothing but ok, when I explained what happened, clearly not knowing what to do in this situation. I had to ask for something to clean the burning chemical from my hand and he hands me a wet nap. Another associate steps in after a few min and finally offers me directions to the bathroom to wash it off. After washing it off a few times, the manager showed up to take an incident report, only at my behest. Worried someone might slip on the spill, I went back to the aisle and saw the manager didnt bother to get anyone to clean up the chemical spill either. I had to point it out loudly for someone to clean it, since the manager didnt have any common sense to check if the leaky drain cleaner had gotten on the floor. Word to the wise, if you get hurt on their premises, expect them not to apologize, offer medical assistance (or to call 911) or even ask if youre ok. Expect them to stand around and do nothing. They dont seem to have any first aid training or customer service skills. What should have been a 5 min trip to Home Depot ended up in an aggravated 2 hours in Cottage Hospital Emergency room. Worst experience at a store ever. Thanks for treating this wartime veteran like garbage.
I feel like they hire some of the lowest quality people here. They dont have knowledge of the products they sell or where they are in the store. Many times I have bought things or returned things and had it ring up at the wrong price or, the case of returns, items missed. To the point that I have to check the entire receipt every time there is a transaction in the store... I dont have to do this at any other store I shop at. They get by because its a big corporation and the only large hardware store in the area. One day maybe well get a Lowes here.
Great customer service
I was on line to check out 1 of the 5 young ladies asked me she would ring up my stuff, with the Covid-19 I thought they had that many people at the 4 self checked registers to clean the scanner and the keypad as a man left they told me I could use it but no one wiped down anything is so sad how they are getting paid to be gossiping because they were laughing so loud all together. Manager/ Supervisor should be more aware of whats going on on the registers. I was really disappointed with the bad service they are usually pretty good at customer service.
This is an average sized home depot with friendlier than usual staff (for the nationwide chain).. Same inventory as other home depot, you can fulfill about any genetic plumbing, electrical, or other hardware need at this store. They also have a decent sized nursery.
Used order & pick up service. It was a great experience, fast, prompt and courteous. Delivered to my car.
Home Depot 😊Well what can I say about Home Depot, my husband is in the construction business so we go there all the time almost 99% of the material is purchased from there, prices are fair and they literally have everything, plus I do returns all the time, never have I had a problem great customer service, we are very satisfied. Also they have curbside pickup for your convenience.
If youre looking to buy tools or youre a contractor and need hardware great if youre looking to get finish work this is not the place at least not in Santa Barbara
Didnt have what I needed..
Very helpful and friendly works 👍
These employees can’t even answer the Phone.... it’s not like there doing anything. They have self check out now.... smh don’t bother even just go to Lowe’s.... At least there they’ll answer the phones and answer all your questions...
My opinion o. The store has pretty much everything costumer service so so their people need to be more inducted in the materials they sale or more preper the area where they work
Despite Covid they are still helpful and professional. They even have some items you wouldnt expect them to so it gives an extra point for that.
Our family purchased a new washer/dryer delivered on 7/22/20Not even a week later the dryer has stopped working. I’ve tried to use your text messaging on receipt, but return message told me to call.I called and was hung up on two different occasions.I was told you would send a repairman out to service our brand new washer/dryer that isn’t working. I’ve taken time off of work on 3 occasions and repairman has been a no show. This latest appointment is today 8/11/20 and again no show, no call.I work at the Hospital and this is seriously taking a tollon my time, rest and ability to wash/dry my clothes to help do my part during this Pandemic. Can you PLEASE just repair or replace the washer/dryer we paid for in good faith???
Friendly and efficient.
Great customer service and great selection of plants.
Nice people, very helpful. Same layout as usual in others Ive been to . Easy to notice from the road
Very organized, the lady in the paint department very knowledgeable., awesome attention.
Very friendly and helpful
Nice place to get propane. Though Target has them cheaper.
Usual home Depot. Have just about everything but sometimes hard to find help
Looking for a new kitchen plan. Anthony was very helpful!!
Was just reminded why I’ve been buying everything online for the past year. Customer experience is definitely an after thought here and people are rude as heck
You are out of everything I need. There were signs up where all the products I desperately needed were missing, telling me oops! Just order on home depot. Com! Instead of doing your job for you, which is to have product in store for my convenience, I ordered EVERYTHING I needed on AMAZON!! Do your job!!! Order products and have them in store!!! How hard is it to do your job???? I have been to just about every Home Depot in 2 counties and Goleta Home depot is hands down the sloppiest, most unorganized, cluster F I have ever witnessed!!!
Its good they have a lot of stuff.
Good selection of products ranging from construction materials to plumbing. Great prices on power tools with everything from homeowner grade to professional tools on sale often. I went to buy a product that showed in stock online but the store had none. The manager said the website had an error and he gave me an upgraded model for no extra cost. Amazing customer service.
This is a good Home Depot. It is very close to UCSB so there are many college student age employees, which may not have the years of knowledge you need for a project. But the employees are helpful and generally cheerful.n
They have everything you need for home improvements. The one drawback is that many employees arent particularly well versed in their products. Or the product locations. Some employees are obviously very good, probably the ones that have been working there for quite a while.
Super helpful team members. Didnt just tell me where to find items, actually walked me to them. Very nice 😁
Yep...its a Home Depot, a nice one.
Always can find what I need & good customer service!!
Today at 415pm. I arrived at HD, got a cart, waited in line in compliance with social distancing rules, walked to the nursery department to tell them that I wanted to purchase a tree that was out in front of the store. It was 430p and they Were telling everyone that the nursery exit was closed and they were directing everyone inside to check out in the store. I asked if doorkeeper could get me the tree Outside the grates that I came in the purchase. He said no, I would need to come back tomorrow. Is it just me or does that seem Unreasonable and bad customer service. They close at 6pm. Trust me I won’t be back Soon. Better for my health.
Didnt feel safe at Home Depot with the virus situation. Will never return until all is over. They force you to walk past literally a hundred people lined up inside the building to get out because they sealed off all other exits.Having 1 entrance is fine, but they should let you exit from anywhere, especially the nursery area since outside is the absolute safest. The longer you keep a bunch of people in the same confined space, the higher their chances of being infected. This policy is actually more dangerous than just not doing anything differently. Never in my life have I walked past so many people inside this Home Depot than today. Absolutely backward.
Good place for materials
They couldnt find the product in the store.Several store associates looking, even store manager. We had to leave and go to another store. So bummed.
They dont have that I was looking for!
Trying to pay cash for more than 10 items is a disaster. It would 100 times better with a standard check out situation. Home depot should stop trying to be like Lowes
This has to be on the bottom end of the store chain. We were looking for a tool we had purchased a few years ago. We could not find it in the store, so we went to the help desk. We brought up another tool so the gal would have an idea of what we were looking for. She gets on the computer and tells us, the row in the store to find it. I looked at her screen, it was the tool I gave to her for reference. She could not process in her mind what I was asking. So she called for some one to assist us in electrical. After 15 minutes, no one showed up. Time to go to Lowes, this person was the most inept worker I have ever run across at a Home Depot. Her skill set was an embarrassment. We knew it was not in the store, we came to her to look it up to see if was still available. She is lucky breathing is an involuntary action.
Asked 6 different clerks for directions to find an item, all with different answers. After 30-minutes of searching by myself, I walked out. The worst service in town by far.
All is good, sometimes is difficult to find somethings, and you ask the workers for help, they say oh its not in my area, but Ill ask and come back in a moment and they never come back
Was glad Home Depot was open early morning! Grabbed some planters and cleaning vinegar for a good price. Looks like they take COVID-19 cleaning seriously from what I saw.
Price on the wood on the rack was different than the check stand. The clerk seem not to care about the discrepancy. Guess she didnt have to pay the 14 dollars more so okay.
Great place to get all your home needs. However they dont have foam for sleeping on.
The lady at the Customer Service desk was very helpful, but it took a long time for the order to be picked and brought to me. It was supposed to be ready when I arrived, but Im sure that it wasnt. Im not sure that I would use this service again, it would be quicker to just pick it myself and check out in the normal way.
There are pidgeons living by the box section
Went in to Home Depot to get one desk fan. I checked the inventory of the store on the Home Depot website to make sure that the fan I wanted was in stock at this location and the website said that they had 5 in stock at the store, however, the website did not tell me where the fan was located in the store. So after searching around the store with no luck in finding the fan, I go up to one of the employees and ask him if he knows where they could be located. Without even looking up at me from stacking shelves, the employee tells me that they only sell ceiling fans at Home Depot. I then tell him that the website says there are some in stock. He then says that the website is wrong. So, I go find another employee and ask her if she knows where I could find the fans and she immediately goes to an employee and tells him to help me and then he goes back to a computer. That employee then tells me, without even opening a computer, that the website is wrong because it does not account for people stealing items. So I then go to the customer service desk to see if they could help me locate a fan or uncover that indeed every fan in the store has been stolen. She actually starts by going on the website to look up the product that I am looking for, this is the first employee to do so, but then stops helping me and starts a conversation with the employee next to her while I am still standing there waiting for an answer. After she finishes gossiping with the employee, she goes back to the computer, finishes finding the product on the website, and then tells me that they appear to have some in stock but that she cannot find where they are located. So, as I am leaving the store I see another employee who is restocking items and ask him if he would know where to find a fan. This employee actually opens a computer, checks the inventory amount for the item in the store, sees that there are some in stock but that the map does not show where it is located, and then in a bizarre twist he offers to help me look for it. He leads me to where he thinks all the fans in the store would be located and then in a even stranger turn of events, there it was a whole shelf filled with all 200 of the supposedly stolen assortment of fans. The employee then finds the one I have been looking for for the past 45 minutes and then helps me checkout. Out of the five different employees I talked to he was the only one who seemed even remotely interested in helping me. Three of the five did not even spend any time thinking before telling me that all the fans in the store have been stolen or that Home Depot does not sell any fans except ceiling fans. This was honestly the most appalling and disgraceful customer service I have ever experienced at a store and I look forward to never returning.
They could do better with keeping the place clean. Always have to wash up after buying stuff there. But they *do* have stuff.
Friendly customer service that for once actually had someone in electrical that knew what they were talking about...
Went to pickup order. Said it wasnt ready. 10 minutes after I had left the order was ready. Phone number rings forever and nobody picks up the phone with no answering service.
Zero stars would be an option. I went for a simple plumbing shutoff valve. Ended up in an argument with an employee over what he decided that I needed (he was wrong!). Apparently the new policy is to only accept credit cards! I pay with cash (it was only $7). I had to look through 12 self-service checkout registers to find one that accepted CASH. None accepted cash, only credit cards. I had to wait another 10 minutes to find an employee who could take my money. That led to another confrontation as I told him I was paying in cash. Thank goodness for Millers ACE coming soon.
The workers are always super helpful and can explain the solutions to most of my apartment issues
