I needed flooring done and was recommended here. I worked with Tony and Josh and both were extremely helpful. They would follow up on things to make sure everything is done correctly and on time. When I went to Flooring 101 a couple years ago, I knew I would be back when I was ready to install my Luxury Vinyl Plank floors. Although I wasnt quite ready then, fast forward to May 8, 2020. I went in after hearing that I had one week to find a floor that was to be installed the following weekend. I told Tony what I was looking for and after looking at a couple samples, he showed me the sample that was absolutely PERFECT! Problem was, that the quantity I needed wasnt due to be available for two weeks. He talked to the warehouse and ended up finding the material for me and expediting the shipment to his warehouse in Oxnard and was told it would be there on Friday and then he would facilitate bringing up my order (himself!) the following Saturday morning. With very little stress, he was good on his word and my floors are amazing. The quality I got for the pricing Tony gave me was far better than anything I looked at anywhere else! Im am beyond happy! I have told my family and friends that if they want a good deal for excellent quality - go to Flooring 101!

I would give them zero stars if I could. Since Flooring 101 handles both flooring sales and installation, there is no way to choose the contractor. As a result, they will give your job to the lowest bidder.The contractor used was terrible from the beginning. The workers showed up 30 minutes late, and the first thing they did was crush a water hose in the garage with a heavy tool box and threw a lot of stuff on my workbench. I told them not to touch my tools and they did not respond and looked confused.During the work, I caught the workers digging through some metal bars I had stored in the garage. They claimed that they needed tin moulding which was not even something that would be used for flooring. I suspect they were looking for materials to steal.When the workers finished, everything looked good except for there was a strong smell from the adhesive. Upon further inspection however, the door was left unable to close because of the new flooring. Only part of the molding installed was caulked, because the workers ran out of caulking. Instead of buying more, they simply stole a tube of caulking from my garage, making a mess in the process.In the garage and driveway, a huge mess was left The workers used my workbench as a place to put their glue tools and got glue on it. They also got glue on the driveway. They also did not clean up their wood chunks and sawdust. The garage sink had been clogged with glue. Worst of all, my tool chest had been rummaged through and a few tools were stolen. My shelf that I store building materials on was also rummaged through and a few items were stolen.After a few days, the biggest problem had surfaced. The adhesive odor would not go away, and it gave my grandma headaches. She now has to sleep somewhere else until the odor goes away. We had asked for low odor, non toxic adhesive but apparently Flooring 101 did not care.Overall the workmanship of the contractor was terrible. The floor was installed very sloppily. The workers pretended to not speak English when I warned them not to touch my stuff, but they spoke fluent English when asking for free building materials that are not even to be used for the floor installation. I would not recommend Flooring 101 to anybody, considering that not only was the flooring installed poorly, but the workers stole from me and damaged my property.

I highly recommend Flooring 101. I worked with John P to figure out how to best put new flooring for a house being remodeled. He was so patient and gave me a good deal. It was such a pleasure working with him, as I went back and forth on several possibilities and John and the others are very good with their customers. In the end, I selected a great laminate and they did the whole house. Again I highly recommend this business and you can always ask for John. Also a shout-out to Tony (owner) and his awesome Chihuahua (Nacho)!

AMAZING from beginning to end! Erick was great at helping us choose options and so patient. And when it came time to place our order, he went above and beyond to get us the best price.Then there were our installers who were also AMAZING! Efficient is an understatement! I was gone for 40 mind and came back to carpet out and prep work well underway. Tony was fantastic at walking me through each step of installation, making sure he knew what we wanted. And when there was an issue with a too high moisture read in our bathroom, he explained what they would do to dry the area and then what the options were when the moisture read was still too high. I also received a call from Jessica, a company rep, who also went through the options regarding that area of floor and that they would get a crew back to finish ASAP once the issue was resolved.Thank you everyone!Stephanie

The salespersons were courteous and knowledgeable. The showroom had a large selection of floors. We ordered the floor and decided to use their installation service. That was a mistake. The installers arrived late and were confused about parts needed. They did not bring necessary tools and had to borrow from our tool boxes in the garage without asking us first. When they finished the job, they forgot to put these tools back. We still dont know where these small tools are -- perhaps on their truck. There was sloppiness throughout the job, such as splashed glue. I would still recommend shopping for material there, but when it comes to installation, dont be persuaded by the show. Hire someone separately.

The showroom is large. A little difficult to find first time. They have good products and pricing. The installation scheduling was poor, but the workmanship fine. Some sales people are knowledgeable and others are still learning.

Got a guy to come out and do measurements. My wife and I went 3 times to their location to look at their selections and specifically state what to quote on. Never received quotes over 3 months. Would call and ask for our quote, but we’d get a routine that they were still working on it. We were serious and just based on initial numbers going to go through them. Their loss, as we went with someone else for a large job. They were more interested in a car we own then making a sale. Complete waste of time. They must just all be getting high in the back.

Excellent quality work, pricing, and service. Highly recommend this company for install of flooring. The team of installers were professional, fast, and asked me questions along the way to make sure I was happy. Service rep Eric was very helpful in making the process of picking material, making suggestions on molding, and providing the very best customer service and price.

Very helpful great selection

Totally disappointed with Flooring 101 Goleta. We had an onsite consultation and they were supposed to get back to us with a proposal, they never did. Ive called 3 times and emailed once. I was promised a phone call back. Nothing. Bummer!

Vast collection of samples. Hidden behind other buildings.

In August 2015 Flooring 101 installed vinyl floor covering in my 2 bathrooms and kitchen as well as laminate in the dining room and hallways. They installed carpeting in the rest of the condo. I have had to call them back for repairs to the vinyl tile so many times I cannot count and here I am in august 2018 having to call them back for a buckle at the seam between the kitchen vinyl and the dining room laminate 3 yrs. later.

They are highly recommended.
