Thank you so much John for fixing my boat your team got it in and repaired in a timely manner. Your service desk was always very respectful and polite and helpful. I couldn’t be more happier with this place. They have fixed a few of my boats now and sold one, so I think it’s fair to say I will continue going back. Not only they fixed my boat but they tried helping me by walking me through stuff I could try to fix it myself. This place is not always about making money it’s about making happy customers that come back. I feel that five stars is an understatement.
Sundance Marine is the worst business I have ever dealt with. I bought a new Mercury 9.9 hp motor in JulyOf 2020,and between July and September had to take it back for a fuel leak not once but 4 times. By the time I received it back from them, all the lakes were closed for lack of water. Took it fishing this spring and didn’t even get away from the dock before fuel started pouring out of it again. Took it back again to get my money back and they would not refund me, the Manager said that they have been through this before and there is nothing that I can do to get a refund. Why would I give them another chance to KILL me or my family. From reading other reviews plus my own experience this dealership and their so called service department hits the top rating for incompetency. Next stop is to the Better Business Bureau. One star because there is nothing lower and I had to put one to post.
My Mercury outboard motor threw a rod this summer and even though it only had 77 hours on the motor it was out of warranty. Working with John and Darby at Sundance, they walked me through the appeals process with Mercury and they agreed to supply all the parts to fix my boat. I cant thank them enough for all their help and am looking forward to getting my boat fully repaired and back down to Lake Powell this spring. I also commend Mercury for stepping up and showing what a class company they are.

My new Tracker boat which I purchased near where I live in another state kept blowing a fuse on the engine keeping it from starting. I contacted Sundance because they are a Tracker dealer. I AM GLAD I DID! Darby, a service coordinator worked to get me in quickly in order to minimize my down time on vacation. She and the technicians worked hard all morning to resolve the problem. I am now back at the lake. I have had many bad experiences with RV & boat service (ha! ha!) People. I cannot begin to express how impressed I was the professionalism and attention to detail as well as me as a customer. Darby & the staff are a 10+ in my book. It was more than worth the 3 hour drive. IMPRESSED!!
5 Star!! We purchased a previously owned Sea Ray from Sundance Marine. Great buying experience and great customer service since buying. Gus delivered our boat to Lake Powell and spent a half day with us going over the boat and its operation. They have been available to answer all our questions and take care of a few fixes and upgrades. Havent talked to anyone yet that isnt awesome! I own a 04 222 Tahoe Tracker.. This past summer I started experiencing slight lower unit problems and it got worse. I took it to Sundance Marine in Grand Junction CO. I live in Lake Powell AZ. 6 hours away. I was told they are the best so I took it to them. Darby the shop Service writer gave us great customer service and not only did they fix my lower unit Darby told me the mechanics found that my engine wasnt aligned right with the lower unit. The guys working in the shop paid attention to details and my boat has never ran better.

Took our boat in for service. Had it over 10 weeks and still not running right. Every time I called I was told they would call or they had to check. I had to always call them. Waiting on Parts. Got boat back, But like I said it is still not running and had to take it back. Wonder how long they will have it this time??? Had it for a month again. Had to call and was told again we just got it in, was charged for parts that we already paid for. They have very bad customer service and rude when you ask them any questions on the phone, and when you see them in person they act really nice. Will not be taking boat back to them ever again. They did something to our boat and not stand by it. Very dissatisfied customer....

I would give these guys a 5 but honestly the salesman brought them down a lot. But the important part was Gus. He alone would get a 10 from me, the guy was so amazing. He went over every detail of my boat purchase, and I mean everything. He also told me to keep in touch on how it did and if i had questions. After going over the boat, he went over kids sizes, ages, experiences and what they wanted to do. Then helped pick out the best toys for them. He also helped make sure it was what we needed and not just profit for them. He actually talked me out of $1600 prop purchase until I spent some time on the water with the boat at my lake to know how it performed.Gus will make me return....
Wow, we dropped off our older boat to get the motor checked. We had to call, leave messages, to find out they dont work on mercury motors. We could have been told that in the first place instead of waiting 2 weeks. We go to pick up the boat and they want to charge a service charge for something they wont work on. I will never go there again!!

Sundance Marine is an awful place to work for I had started as a detailer Two weeks prior to this review. Just today I had asked Gus if we could get some more magic erasers and was told I would be being let go for being “uncomfortable” with my job I don’t feel as though anyone will be “comfortable” with their job within the first week i am a very outgoing person and very detail oriented I haven’t ever been released from a job just as an FYI would not recommend spending your time or money on or at this business due to poor management after reading other reviews it seems as though Gus has been a major downfall to this company’s public appearance
I ordered an accessory switch for my boat. The part was $30 and weighed maybe a 1 lbs. I was quoted $12.50 in shipping. I ordered the part and it was shipped to me approximately a couple months ago. Yesterday I get a phone call from the parts manager claiming that the freight was actually $9.50 more and requested I pay, which I did. It isnt the $9.50 but the lack of customer service. I will not do business again
After some hick-ups and disappointments; Sundance Marine (the whole team) worked hard to fix our issues and we can not say enough about how appreciative we are and how we appreciate Ron and Gus and the personal service they gave us in attending to our problems: It is NOT easy handling problems, especially when the customer (me) is a bit heated (and Sundance has some responsibility in the issues as well) ... they came through with flying colors and did job well done! THANK YOU! We can confidently give them a 5 star review.

Great service, they hauled our boat to Blue Mesa for the season and back. Took care of covering the boat when we returned to Grand Junction. Left Blue Mesa in the rain and they made sure all of our canvas was dry before they put the winter cover on. Very happy with our experience.
We should of listened to the Mercury motor people when we pulled into parking lot about what kind of business this is and walked away before even entering..They sold a boat out from under us. Not to mention the only person that I thought even was remotely attentive was finance guy. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

Ive waited nearly a year until ive posted a review on Sundance Marine. Boats and boating can be a joyful and frustrating experience, sometimes all within the span of a 24 hour period. I purchased a boat from Sundance in the dead of winter. The vessel had been for sale for over a year. I worked with Scott over the course of about 6 months to decide if this was the right boat for my family. In January (which is definitely not the best time of year to check out a boat), Scott dewinterized the boat, put it in their onsite tank and we went through the boat. It wasnt possible to put it in the water as most lakes in the local area were closed or frozen. Scott and John took the time with me to go through it and yes they were motivated to sell as it was on consignment and had sat for many months. Needless to say we purchased the boat, it was a painless experience.I highly recommend Sundance for your boating and powersports needs. These guys are honest and helpful. I see some negative reviews in here and that is understandable. Things can get sideways with boating and folks get their nose out of joint. But after a lifetime of boating and 4 Sea Rays I can honestly say that SO FAR they are the best in the business. Hope they keep it that way.
The lack of service detail in checking boats operation / water worthyness as requested, being told I was good to go at time time of service payment. Cost me trip to Powell with a boat that took on water. Upon returning the boat they fixed but, not one offer to refund or discount to keep my business. Even the President of the company did not care.
Scott the sales manager has by far been the most helpful boat dealer I have worked with up until this point. He shows that he cares about earning your business.
Horrible service shop experience! Beware!!!I bought a Sea Ray 270 Sundancer from a private party last winter and had Sundance Marine do a pre purchase inspection. Also the seller paid to have the brakes overhauled as I had to pull the boat back to Lake Havasu with a half ton pick-up and he wanted to make sure that Id have a save trip over the passes. At first they said it needed a new master cylinder and all new wheel cylinders, so the seller agreed to have it all taken care of. Later they said that they got the master cylinder working but both the seller and I were concerned and pushed the issue and asked. Are you sure its right? They assured us that the master cylinder was safe and in fine condition otherwise theyd replace it.Before I got back to Havasu, the master cylinder was empty, I noticed fluid leaking out of a line that wasnt tightened at one of the wheel cylinders. I called, John (the service manager at Sundance) and he said to take it in to have it checked and if its something thats their fault well take care of it. I took it to Adrenaline Trailers in Havasu and they diagnosed the problem. Work order states, Leaking brake line at cylinder flange and a small crack in the line itself. They said that they couldnt believe that any shop would send this trailer out like this and that the (stated in work order) Master cylinder is rusted out. I called John and told him the damage and he agreed to take care of it - to this date I have received $0!! A lot of promises, but not a penny have they paid!! Not only did Sundance Marine put myself and others lives at risk on the road by their incompetent work. I cant believe they sent me out over mountain passes in the middle of winter like that!!, It ended up costing me hundreds of dollars for repairs that the seller had agreed to take care.But this is just the beginning! Things get much worse as soon as I get the boat in the water!!! Theres not space here so; (See my Yelp review to see how they totally screwed up on my out drive when they reinstalled it after inspecting it and how it cost me $1600 to fix their sloppy work and oversight !!).

Go to Sundance marine and get screwed over because Eric the finance guy doesnt know how to do his job, we buy a brand new boat paper work all done they congratulate u on your new boat cost u money on getting stuff for it and putting insurance and all that then a week and a half later call u up and tell u that they want the boat back cause something went wrong with there bank. They dont care about customer satisfaction and lie multiple times to you. But thats how Sundance marine works lie to your face cost you time and money and take your boat back even when all the contracts are signed and done. And best excuse they have is its our fault sorry.
