Purchase meat on 10/28 got home cut it open and the meat smelled like it was rotten.The date on the package was 5/25 so we were sold meat that was 5 months old.Called and he did offer a refund but did not want to travel all the way back to the store.Said the meat was frozen since May and was just thawed to sell.Scary experience!

My friends and I were passing through Grand Junction on our way to a campsite outside of Moab, UT. We are from Pennsylvania and we’re not familiar with the area. We found Quality Meat Co on Google maps and stopped in to buy some steaks to cook up at the camp site. The gentlemen at the counter could not have been nicer or more helpful. We bought four Silver Sterling Ribeyes and were blown away by the quality. The gentlemen at the counter also recommended the compound butter and a special rub called “cat crap”. We couldn’t believe how great everything tasted! I highly recommend these folks. The store had a great selection and a super friendly staff.

If you just want a steak go to Walmart.If you want a good steak the grocer.But if you want a really great, mouth watering get your steaks here.The others don’t even come close.

These ppl are awesome. They fought so hard to keep up service when half their freezer went out over the summer of 2021. I was even asked jokingly, that I needed to hurry up so she could go outside to pet our dog. I love this place and tell everyone about how I shop at a local butcher. I support local business.

My wife and I went just for the first time, its a wonderful little shop. Vary fair prices, and fantastic customer service. They also have nice verity of cuts, we will definitely be going back.

Went in here looking for a brisket for a gathering of friends, walked in for the first time to be greeted by a very nice gentlemen in a cowboy hat, he sold me a nice brisket that was significantly cheaper then any other butcher in town, we had a nice conversation about fireworks and the 4th, he gave me 2 small packets of their custom seasoning and i was on my way. ill gladly be back to visit you guys

Quality meats is an excellent name for this business! I have bought several times from them and the meat is so much better than what you get at City Market, but without the price of Fisher’s. The staff are always very helpful and friendly! Prices beat the grocery store too!!

I always buy my steaks and dog bones from Quality Meats. You cant beat their steaks, better then any grocery store.

I fancy myself an above average home cook and the quality of products from Quality Meats out shines even the fanciest butcher shops from the front range. The beef and pork is amazing regardless of the cut and they have a lot of cuts but the lamb was the stand out purchase. Even the meat in the economy package out shines many restaurants and I almost had to buy another freezer to fit it all. For the more adventurous cook or hunters crazing something out of season there is good selection of fowl and game meat as well.

This market is SUPERB!!! I can’t say enough good things about this shop. I live in Texas and wanted a nice steak dinner for my father on Father’s Day even though he lives in Grand Junction. My father is almost 90 and must be careful in times of corona virus. The butcher put together a selection for my dad and loaded it into his car without him getting out. Zero contact for an incredible selection. They have even offered to open the store early so my father can shop alone. My father cannot stop raving about the quality of the steak, salmon, and pork. They helped me give my dad a great Father’s Day and we will shop with them again!

Our first time at Quality Meats recommended by friends. Friendliness is impressive. Meat prices are as good or better than local grocery. As good as beef prices can be thanks to Covid-19. We got our meat 101. We have yet to eat our purchases, but look forward to our steaks this evening.

These guys need to teach lessons on customer service! I drive two hours twice a month to visit Quality Meat and they never disappoint. They do their best to keep everything stocked and priced affordably, and have unique items you can only find here. Definitely try their breakfast sausage, smoked wings, steak trim ground beef, and coulotte cut steaks. The perfect example of a local butcher. Keep it up!

Originally went there to get meat (since all the grocery stores were cleaned out) and absolutely LOVED it! I got chicken wings, ground beef, salmon fillets, bacon, eggs and bacon wrapped fillet mignon (my favoirte) everything was beyond expectation and so delicious! (Really regretting not grabbing some lobster)They also have a great selection of local hot sauces, meat sauces, seasoning, jams and honey as well. The staff was extremely helpful and super sweet.

The guy there was very helpful and gave a lot of information! The prices are surprisingly way cheaper than the grocery store. They know where all their meat comes from; it seemed really clean in the shop too.

Better-quality meat not available at the grocery stores, like chicken and pork that has not been injected with water or solutions, and fresh, never-frozen turkeys for Thanksgiving. They have some seafood items that are hard to get around here as well, like Arctic char. Good selection of locally made items, too, including jams, honey, seasonings and sauces. Unpretentious store run by unpretentious people. Highly recommend.

This guy is great. We were running late and we called. He stayed open for us and even gave my son chocolate milk. Meat prices were good and there was a great selection. Family owned 3rd generation business. I recommend.

Cant say we had the best experience. Pork steaks seemed to be missing from our package and the prices listed online are out of date by around 20 dollars. Not a dealbreaker for most people but on a tight budget it makes a difference. More of a personal issue but I was disappointed to find they source at least some portion of their meat from Tyson. For me quality is as much, if not more, about ethical sources than it is about flavor.

The best butcher on the western slope. Incredible deals on pork, chicken, beef, lamb, and seafood. 5$ a pound for quality delicious ground beef, cheap steaks. Make sure to get the beef butter (AKA cat crap) it is the best condiment in the world. These guys are awesome, and can get you dang near anything.

Old school butcher and meat market featuring meats & ingredients of the absolute highest quality. This is a multi generation family business and they really, really care about their products. Great selection of sausage. This is the place to get prime stuff, no question.

We have raised our own meat for years so we only eat the best quality, no supermarket deals for us! We have found excellent quality meats and great selection here for what we dont grow ourselves! Best ever! We are lucky to have this place here in Grand Junction.

Im ashamed I havent reviewed this place yet. I could not be more impressed and happier with the service the provide if they gave me the meat for free. My family has been coming here for years and they never fail at the quality of their food! We have a huge family and we do packages every time we go in, give them a few minutes and in no time your meat is ready to go.

No more mystery in what Im buying - they explained (efficiently) what I was buying, what suited my preference, and how to cook it. Bonus: spent a lot less than the grocery store.
