This location has been so understaffed that one can only pick up prescriptions at the drive thru. This has led to wait times that are consistently around an hour, because the line is around the building, almost always. It’s not the pharmacists fault, I’m sure they’re doing their best - it seems like it up to corporate, or the branch owner/manager, or whoever is responsible for hiring & staffing. It’s a tough problem, but something HAS to be done. I usually wouldn’t complain, but it’s been this bad for months. I understand if they’re short staffed sometimes, but this is always, and for a long time. It seems like it’s known that we have no option but to wait for our medication, because the situation isn’t changing. If they have to pay more, or recruit from the front range to attract qualified pharmacists, that should happen. If things change at this location, I’ll change my review, if not, I’ll reluctantly have to go somewhere else

Im pretty sure this is where everyone goes that cant get into nursing school, or couldnt make it far enough in med school to become a doctor. They are all bitter, and completely daft when it comes to customer service or any kind of human care, or interaction. These people are quite literally the reason for outrage culture, especially in the heart of a pandemic. Fill your prescriptions literally anywhere else.

They just drastically reduced their hours—they now close at 5pm instead of 9pm—without sending any notification. I just found out by driving there to pick up my meds (which run out on Friday) and finding them closed. So I will now definitely be running out of my medication, since the earliest I can get to the pharmacy during business hours is… Saturday.I realize COVID-related staffing problems are a real thing, but this is completely insane. What are people who work 9-5 supposed to do if they run out of their medication during the ~71% of their life that is a weekday?EDIT: I never had even one single problem at Rite Aid. Literally never, and I’m taking exactly now what I was then. And now every single month is one problem or another requiring up to a half hour on the phone just to get to speak to a human. And now this. I’m done.

If you are a cancer patient, go elsewhere. As a medical oncologist on call, I tried to get a cancer patient much needed pain medication. I was on hold for 30 minutes at the Patterson location in Grand Junction and was disconnected. I called another location and the pharmacist refused to give a few pain meds to get the patient through the night until her regular doctor could fill her regular prescription. The pharmacist did not make any attempt to look up the patient history or confirm whom was making the call. The drug seekers have won. You as the pharmacy industry have allowed your power over people to eclipse your compassion. One day you will have cancer—good luck.

I have been working with them since I moved here 2 years ago. They changed their policies and everyone quit. My favorite lady Valentina quit. She was super friendly and always gave my dog a bone. For four months now weve all have been dealing with early closing times at 5 pm so I can pickup after work and 2 hour long lines that wrap around the building. Doctors nearby have actually refused to send prescriptions there. Had to transfer all my perscriptions over to city market sonce new 20 year old lead pharmacist Gavin refused me service after doctor sent in percriptions in twice and came back 3 times while waiting in car since they closed inside down 4 months ago. He told me to get back in line. As I was pulling around he yelled out I will just transfer your meds! WHAT?...went in to confirm this and Gavin told me I now was, banned from store Wow. I never recieved any medication. Sick with cold and needed it for sleep. Doctor off today and St. Marys ER does not refill medication under any circumstances. Turned a simple 1 perscription fill that was 2 weeks overdue into a total nightmare. I have been working in the medical field for some time and Pharmacist Gavin is really inexperienced and unprofessional. Never been treated so badly.

Literally spent 1 hour plus waiting for my script in the drive thru pharmacy. The only reason why I waited was because I needed my script and had a crying baby in back. I cannot believe how slow and rude these people in the department are. They need new or more staff. I cannot believe they run this location this way. Walgreens, do better!

Gave them 3 hours to fill presc and then waited in line a half hour to find out they dont fill presc unless you have insurance. (watched two people leave the line and go to the drive thru as it was faster). Then a 3 hr drive home. I was in Jct for tooth extraction and two implants had to go the night without pain meds and anti biotics. This is the third time theyve messed up prescriptions. Dont bother calling them, they dont answer and their answering machine is horrible. Tried to support you, but must go elsewhere from now on.

We recently found out Edna was let go she worked in the makeup area. My friends in our nursing home would go to see her once a week. She was always kind, patient, and very professional. This Walgreens has been going down the toilet for some time now. We are flushing it out now!We will no longer shop in your store nor have our prescriptions filled at this store. Edna will be sorely missed by her followers. Your store will be without MANY elderly customers.

This pharmacy is horrible. I used to be at rite aid before it closed I never had any issues and I had the same medications, insurance, and doctor.3 reasons I am writing this review:1. I’ve been here multiple times after being told BY THEM that a script would be ready only to wait in line (average 20 minutes) to find out it hasn’t been filled yet.2.They have stated they will call my doctor about a script for a PA on more than one occasion but my doctor always reports not hearing from the pharmacy and thus has to contact them.3.They always seem behind. I’ve been through drive thru and in-store without any luck in wait times although I’ve only visited somewhere between the hours of noon-7pm. Plan for 20 minutes or more to your visit.I am def switching pharmacies after this last time when it was a medication I really needed. Also good luck calling to speak with someone on the phone.

Ever since Walgreens bought out Rite Aid, its been nothing but trouble. 19 minutes on hold to ask a pharmacist a simple question. Nearly half hour waits in the drive through. They keep making mix-ups in their system causing prescriptions to not be available when they were supposed to be ready to pick up. Its a nightmare.

I have never seen a pharmacy avoid communications with a customer to the extent this site has. If you call you will get computer with limited options. There is no way out. If you contact the Walgreens customer service your options are to wait or chat. I have nver been able towait long enought to get a representative (over 30 minutes). If you chat they will ultimately send you to the phone number with the avoidance computer.

It is... weird to see people complain about this pharmacy. Its as if everyones forgotten that were in the middle of a pandemic and people have been trying to order their medications in bulk, many even paying hundreds to do so.These are living breathing people who are also scared and have to work right next to others. The very least anyone can do is realize the inside is busy when the drive through isnt and its first come first serve.I highly recommend this place. I had been on a medication that gave me suicidal thoughts and ideations. I acted on it. My pharmacist was quick to suggest what I do next and was far kinder than my doctor and far more helpful. They are THE busiest pharmacy in grand junction, located right near St Marys AND with drive thru. I understand being in a hurry but the help and care youll get is worth it. I owe this pharmacy my life.

I don’t review places often, and when I do it’s usually because someone made me very happy and I want the world to know. For this Walgreens pharmacy I wish I could give zero stars. They refused to fill an insulin prescription for my dad because it said “take as needed.” Even just knowing the basics of diabetes I’m aware that he doesn’t have a set amount on his fast acting insulin because it’s dependent on what his blood sugar is. They were very rude about the entire situation and when I asked for them to transfer the prescription I was met with a lot of attitude. Avoid this pharmacy at all costs.

Poor service, employees are checked out, retired in place, have no clue, still completely incompetent, seriously question if they know what theyre doing in the pharmacy? Hopefully they are able to refill prescriptions better than they can ring you up? I guess Im the idiot because I keep coming back to the incompetence again and again, I will never learn!

I do not like leaving negative reviews, but I have to be honest. The people are very friendly, once they can work with you. Seems to always be long wait. I just finished waiting for 29 minutes with only one car in front of me. 3 people came behind me and gave up, finally left. Once I reached the window, the 4 people working behind the glass acted like they couldnt see me. After about 5 minutes, the lady buzzed to help me. She was very friendly. I am transferring to Rite Aid as I just dont have this much time to waste for a quick drive thru pickup.

They have a pharmacist that says he floats around to all of there stores. I can see why he doesnt have a permanent place to work. Twice this jackass has gone out of his way to make things difficult. Ive transferred all of my prescriptions to Rite Aid on first in downtown. They are actually nice and faster than this place. If u dont want your day ruined, dont come here!

I have been using this pharmacy for a few years and I am fed up, just moved my prescription to another location. Every time I go to pickup my prescription, I wait at the window ATLEAST 10 minutes while the employees ignore me carrying on conversations amongst themselves, there is usually 1 working but the other 2-3 cant be bothered. On top of that their prescription notifications auto call me over and over 2-3/day until I go pick up my prescription. I withdrew from the notification feature and, for whatever reason, they removed me from the auto refill, even after I requested on 2 different occassions to be put back on. Unless you have days/hours to waste with these people go somewhere else.
