The atmosphere is wonderful. Our server was friendly and very personable. We started out with bread slices with oil and basilmic vinegar. The main meal was Lasagna and Scampi Pignoli. Both were very good plus the Scampi sauce was to die for. The restaurant has a bar attached to it and a good selection of drinks. The music in the background was Italian. This would not be a great place for very young children. Enjoyed our meal π.
Their bolognese, while far from traditional, is the best. Unique, spicy flavors and addictive. Great on pizza or pasta. Excellent food. Tried other highly rated places in Junction and very disappointed. Happy hour is fabulous. 1/2 priced appetizers 4-6 and $1 off beer and wine. Staff is excellent. Love this place. Tiramisu is very good.
I was nothing but surprised! In the hotel lobby there is a restaurant side and a fun bar side. They had SO MANY gluten free options! I had no issues, left full, and no issues after. Def recommend.
We Always Go During Happy Hour, (4-6) And Sit In The Bar. Drinks and Appetizers Are Half Price!! I Usually Have the Cotechino Sausage & Polenta, or Poipettine Diavalo & Of Course the Calamari! 2 people can eat for about $12 each and Be Full!!! We also LOVE the Capriccioso and Bolognese Pizzas. Im Absolutely Addicted to the Lasagna and 1 order is 2-3 meals for me. I must admit that Im rather Positively Prejudiced... My son is the Head Line Cook!!! In the 1st picture are L-R Crista (owner), Me, Collin (my son), and Kevin one of the Bartenders. The other 2 photos are from when my Highschool Sweetheart Came to Visit from Kansas!
The cloth seats are super dirty and spots of unknown stuff stuck in the fabric. The fabric table cloths are gross. You canβt get away from them. Even before Covid itβs gross. I donβt know the area well enough to be certain but I believe the food is over priced. You can tell they try. Being from Louisiana itβs hard to satisfy our taste buds so not going to complain much about the food flavor. It was not our favorite.
GREAT food! We were a group of 6 road tripping for 2 weeks, each had a different dish, and all agreed that this was the best food we had in a while! Big portions, too.Service was awesome and the place had a cool vibe.
It was a mixed bag. We went there with a large group and then we were told that there was no chicken, spaghetti noodles or calamari. Had we known that when we made the reservation we likely would have gone elsewhere. The service was excellent, and the food (that they actually had) was fantastic. I think between us we ordered nearly everything available on the menu, and the ONLY complaint was that the Pesto Gnocchi was REALLY heavy on the pesto. My Lasagna was probably one of the best Ive had in a long time. My wife really enjoyed her seafood dish, and the wine and drinks were great.I would certainly recommend, but call and see what they are out of first.
The dough is obviously not made in house. Toppings are tasty, but not great quality. Good for a quick stop, but Iβd never suggest it to a friend. Pizza 3/10.
We stayed next door at the Comfort Inn. Very convenient. Food and staff were AMAZING. We also ordered the lemon and berry cake for dessert... WOW! We ate there 2 nights in a row. Might even do a 3rd...
Had the duck with polenta and a cup of minestrone soup. The soup was good with a predominant flavor of celeri. Salt level was correct but there was too much pepper. The duck is shredded in tomato sauce with olive. Well seasoned but I could not taste duck meat. The polenta was not salted enough and not creamy enough due to lack of cheese. But it was adequate when mixed with the meat. Iβm not sure that this was home made polenta. Looked like instant polenta by the bland taste and the way it pulled smoothly from the bowl (see picture). I could be wrong. Maybe the owner can respond. The decor is a bit sad.Service was very friendly. I would go back to try a different dish. Prices are reasonable except for the appetizers. I see this as a trend now where most appetizers cost as much as a main dish. Wine by the glass is a bit much for the quality served. Lots of choices on the menu. The silverware is very cheap. Pictured.
Always love this classic Italian restaurant. Dining room is nice, menu is well rounded, staff always attentive. And love the music. Never had a bad meal or experience here.
Excellent! Everything homemade, reasonably priced. Class A joint, fabulous service!! It was peaches celebration week so they added to dishes, great flavors, creative cooking for sure!!
Loved this stop after a long day. Russell took care of us and made our visit memorable! The food was fantastic and we got to try some local wines. We are already talking about stopping back in on our next trip! Their local balsamic vinegar was soooooo yummy, that our next trip will include checking out their suppliers 64 flavor tastings. Also, looking to try the horse carriage wine tasting in the area as well. Thanks to this delicious food and Russell, we have reasons to come back and check out the area more.
Food was delicious, a little pricey but not to bad. Service was mediocre but pleasant. Environment was enjoyable and comfortable
I have Celiac disease and they have wonderful gluten free pasta! I had chicken fettuccine Alfredo and salad wich were excellent and my husband and sister-in-law loved the bread and dipping oil. Their entrees (not gf) were wonderful. The staff is attentive and knowledgeable.
Ristorante Pantuso catered a dinner for us which served over 50 people. Delicious food, competent servers, caring professional owners. Thanks for making our Celebration of Life a monumental gathering for friends and family
This is a hidden gem in the city. The service was fantastic and the food was great. Atmosphere was charming and the prices were very reasonable.
Awesome and informative staff. And the food was beautifully savory and tasty. The peach tiramisu was just simply delightful.
The food was excellent and the staff very friendly and gracious. A very pleasant experience.
Great happy hour, and wonderful staff. The food was delicious.
Have been waiting since the beginning of the pandemic to visit Pantuso and was not disappointed. The sauce used with their shellfish was delicate and light (much more so than alfredo) and very very good. The veal was very tender and well prepared as well. Our waitress, Brooke, was most excellent as well. Well be back.
Calamari... lightly battered w marinara n plenty of lemon...really well done! Chianti fresh and bright... service at bar side incredible... will b back.
We stopped in with 18 hungry motorcyclists over Memorial weekend. Service was outstanding. Food was amazing. Set us up in lounge with tables. Servers were on point the whole time. Will definitely come back next trip for sure!
The food was good, we enjoyed the Chianti and tiramisu, the waiter seemed newβishβ but was mindful and attentive. Everyone who worked there was friendly. Decor is a bit dated but that is a minor detail.
If I could give them NO stars I would. The young hostess with long hair was very rude when asked for a menu. They advertised wonderful burgers, so we figured wed try them. We got there 30 minutes after opening and ordered 3 burgers. The hostess rolled her eyes and her response was Eeehhh, We dont have any hamburgers!! Yet that was the special of the day, just opened, and VERY RUDE and put out by a To-go order.. Will not go back...
Love this place. We have gone to Pantusoβs twice nowWhat a nice restaurant. We all agree this will be our first choice when dining out!
They are literally family, by marriage and the food is freaking amazing.
What a delicious surprise! We were hungry for Italian food and found this. The food was excellent and our waitress was outstanding. Such a wonderful, yummy experience! I highly recommend this restaurant!
This place needs to be packed! The cooks absolutely got it going on back there. The Prosciutto Cotto Gnocci has got to be one of the better Italian dishes Iβve had in Colorado.
Alicia and Amanda are Absolutely great were extremely helpful were extremely helpful friendly and offered above or above power service Food was delicious very hot drinks were excellent as well Would recommend to anyone and My fiance really enjoyed it
This place has been around since 1958 and they do a great business! Great menu, great staff and enjoyed our time for dinner there.
The food was very good and the wait staff friendly.
Talk about charm. The food, atmosphere and staff are all amazing!
Excellent food, good customer service! Hand made marinara sauce is perfect! Home made minestrone soup is perfect! Even on a packed Friday night food was perfect and hot!
Great food and awesome service, celiac friendly too!
Staying in Grand Junction for some early spring golf & just ate at Pantusoβs. Delicious food. Eggplant Parmigiana was the best Iβve had & weβll come back again. Definitely worth trying out!
They went out of there way to split a meal for us. Dinner was delicious!!!!
WOW The food was Amazing!!! Lets start with this point first, which I was surprised. Why,? Because of the bad reviews that Ive read on yelp!! WOW, I was shocked at how lovely of a meal my wife and I had, despite the negative reviews. We started the meal w/an appetizer AntiPasta platter ( a wonderful platter of meat, cheese and vegetables) I had Fruita Gamberetti Di Mare,(Shrimp stuffed w/crab meat in a cream sauce, with linguine) and yes it tasted as good as it sounds. My Wife had the Lasagna and was pleased with her meal.! We topped the evening off w/my Wife having a Canola and I having a Cappuccino, a wonderful way to end a tremendous meal.!! I dont understand where all the bad reviews come from but I can say this, Im truly glad my Wife & I decided to give it a shot and judge for ourselves and not trust the reviews!!! I spoke with the owner and told her what a wonderful meal we had and that we would definitely be back!! All I can say is we had a lovely meal and recommend this place despite what others have said!!
Bar tender was amazing! Food was great! Even arranged for us to charge our phones!
Good food, enjoyed our visit. I ate the gnocchi with prosciutto, great flavor. I will visit them again.
One of the best Italian restaurants in Grand Junction - maybe one of the oldest (est. 1958) in town. It is a neighbor of the Clarion Inn Hotel right off Horizon Drive from I-70W. The restaurant is spacious and clean. I really like the specialty pizza with spinach, artichoke, and chicken topping. Different from other types of pizza this one does not have tomato paste therefore you may taste purely and authentically fragrant flavor. Highly recommended.
First of all, the food is delicious! And that is reason enough for the 5 stars. But, the staff is just incredible! I dropped my wallet and it went underneath our table and I didnt know it. Fortunately, our server recalled one of the other guests at our table mention that I was staying at the Marriott. She called the front desk to see if I was a guest there and they got my wallet back to me. That shows remarkable integrity!
Fantastic homemade Ravioli and sauces. Great servers.
Great food, not so good service.
Dinner was Amazing and I cannot speak highly enough of our Fantastic server βKevinβ. Thank you for such a wonderful evening.
The restaurant is so clean and pretty. The food is so delicious and taste homemade from scratch the service was excellent. I had a steak with pine nuts and it had the most wonderful sauce over it my kids had the Alfredo and spaghetti and meatballs and were so happy. We love the bread appetizer with the yummy oil
Excellent food, great service. Very friendly staff.
Great food and service.
Portions were awesome. Very tasty. Server was fun, polite, and professional.
Iβll preface my review by saying that Iβve been eating at Pantusoβs since the 60βs. Always have enjoyed it. Recently itβs been going downhill but tolerable, smaller portions, change in sauce, taking some favorites off the menu. My favorite has always been the meat ravioli even though the meat is smaller than marble size, the last time I ordered. We recently ordered takeout for my birthday on the 24th of April and I couldnβt even eat my food. Idk what the cook has done to a simple ravioli dish but it was unbelievably spicy hot. Thanks for ruining a birthday.Pantusos has officially been remove from our list of eateries in Grand Junction!
Do not try to eat here. No chef no help... yikes@
This is an amazing authentic Italian restaurant with a wait staff that is stellar. It is pricey but worth every bite. You wont ever regret dinning there.
Came on a Sunday evening and had an excellent experience. The service was great and the food was fantastic. I got the grilled cesar salad and the sausage egg rolls to start. Both were flavorful with big portions. Ended with the spmoni(?) ice cream for dessert and it was yummy!
Tunny happy π
Not happy with the food at all. However the service was good. Ordered to go and got a cheese pizza for kid and it has chunks of tomatoes and onions on it. Most kids dont like that right? Also got stuffed pepper and salad. Neither were great. Also got some cocktails and they were meh. For the price we expected better tasting food.
This was a nice place to visit. Friendly staff, good food, and room for laughter while you enjoy your wine. Thank you!!
The food is fabulous and the staff is remarkable! Theyre knowledgeable about the menu plus theyre very friendly and accommodating. Thank you for a lovely evening and extra delicious food! I especially enjoyed the wine made for Pantusos. Yum!!!
Food and service was great as usual. Crista and her staff are always wonderful. We will be back.
The food was delicious and the service was outstanding! Its right next to Econo Lodge hotel where I stayed in, which allowed me to have a couple of beers and not to drive. Super convenient! I highly recommend this Italian food restaurant!
Avoid the pizza. It is flavorless cardboard
Service and food were awesome. Ate in the bar, bartender was also our server. Kevin was his name. Just down right excellent service. Suggest ordering the veal and calamari.
The Sweet Potato Noche is to die for. Servers are very friendly and we got right in.
Great happy hour prices with lots of great appetizers on the happy hour as well
Always pretty solid and bartender (a really nice guy and a Marine) killed it.
Pizza is sub par.
Pizza was great
A great experience. Wonderful food! Will definitely go back when in the area.
Lovely atmosphere withe great food.
Wonderful service friendly people and delicious food π
Ordered the sausage and peppers for appetizer, lasagna for entree. The only regret was I felt uncomfortable licking the plate in front of everyone. 5 stars only because 10 wasnt an option. Staff was friendly and environment was comfortable. Would recommend to anyone looking for something that stands out from the rest.
The best Italian restaurant in the world. I have seriously never had such an amazing gluten free meal in my life! They have so many options and even make gluten free Alfredo sauce. IT. WAS. DREAMY!
Good not great food and many people come in jeans and T-shirts but it is in the downstairs of a hotel. It is consistent and, as long as you have good company and order some wine, you wont notice the slowness in the kitchen. The front staff is very nice and the bread and oil are quite lovely.
Loved it food and service was amazing
Was amazing been here a couple times this week love the food and the staff amazing mom and pop restaurant
This place is horrible. Over priced, restaurant is dirty. Service was ok
Excellent authentic Italian food! Great service! I highly recommend this restaurant. The outside fools you into thinking that it is a hotel restaurant but it is not!
Very expensive for food that wasnt good - with service that was equally lackluster.Minestrone soup was served barely luke warm. Inedible.I ordered an appetizer of cheese bread but it didnt come out until my entree did. FAIL!Pasta sauce was very meh and Ive had more flavorful stuffed bell peppers from a stouffers microwave meal. When I brought these deficiencies to the waitresses attention she was happy to let me know it was actually my fault that the soup was cold and she didnt make any effort to time my food items.A free desert or discounting the appetizer would have went a long way towards making me a happy(er) customer. Instead I got sass and told if I came back they wouldnt mess it up next time.Wont be a next time!
For starters when we reviewed their menu what we observed was a menu from 2014. Before that we tried to make reservations for 9 people at 5:00 on a friday for 6:30. They could not get us in bc they already had a reservation for 1 family of 13. Really?
Good food, homey appealing atmosphere, wonderful service. A buddy and I had coupons for appetizers so we checked it out. It was fun and delicious, but it definitely felt like we were on a date at this place! Funny stuff
Traveling and staying at the Clarion Inn for one night with my wife. Met my sister, brother-in-law and niece for dinner at Ristorante Pantusoβs last night and we all thoroughly enjoyed it! Great food, lovely atmosphere and excellent service! Prices were quite reasonable too. Highly recommend!!
The prosciutto cotto gnocchi was very bad. Wife and I had it and both disliked it. The ravioli was considerably better, that my daughters had. Service was good, and the food arrived in a timely manner, which is the only good thing I can say about our dining experience here.
High quality and special amazing food, more than that a great service
Excellent food and even better service! Highly recommend. Went there with a group of 9 and they did Amazing. Thank you.
Great service excellent food. Eat in the bar, Kevin makes great drinks!!!
Delicious! Food was spectacular. Try the roasted ceasar salad... what a treat for the palate!
This resuarant has really gone downhill lately. Bland, unremarkable food. Such a shame.
We stopped here for drinks and appetizers. Between 4 and 6 theyre half price appetizers except for the chicken wings. We just ordered garlic bread with cheese and a side of marinara sauce. The bread, cheese, and sauce was delicious and made a good accompaniment to our cocktail. The server was friendly and appetizer came out promptly. Good drink pour as well. I can only give it three stars because I did not order a meal so cant judge on the restaurant side.
Warm and friendly staff/owners.Excellent Italian food as well.
Food was tasty and good. reason for my 2 stars was because of the service. my wife 2 kids and myself all came in. we were seated right away. next thing you know we found ourselves sitting for about 10 minutes waiting to be asked for a drink or something. nobody came to us but the waiter had brought complimentary water and break to 3 tables that came in after us. my wife and i felt uncomfortable and wanted to leave. so i said lets wait about 3 more minutes. some one finally came and gave us our water an bread. so i said in a firm tone its about time but thanked the waiter. about 5 minutes later a woman came out and asked if we we had seen a waiter yet, we said no and were not too happy. she then made sure someone came to our table right away and they did. we took our order and got our food fast.great place to eat but service needs improvement.
Best Italian in town! Great lasagna. Fantastic sweet potato gnocchi. Amazing veal marsala. Generous stromboli. Balsamic vinegar from downtown is delicious.
