If you’re any kind of racial minority, do not come here if you don’t enjoy being racially profiled, chased outside of the store, and accused of shoplifting. Good Records in Dallas is worth the drive because you won’t be obviously stared at your entire stay in the shop and the prices are better. $45 for a Nada Surf record that you could buy anywhere else for $10-20 less. This is the case for a significant amount of the records that they sell here. Also, there are very few women (and of course racial minorities) that work here. Not surprising.

Prices were definitely high but the place was packed with albums, CDs, and all kinds of music materials like shirts and things like that. The owner, Dave, and people working up front were very friendly and helpful also. They definitely had some rare items also which is what were all looking for!

I was told not to bring my wallet the first time I came in, thats the truth! Theres something for everybody. Ive never seen such a comprehensive collection of vinyl, cds, DVDs, and even cassettes. It was awesome seeing all the nostalgic music. So many artists that Ive forgotten about over the years were featured, in every genre imaginable. This is a family owned business that I would highly recommend visiting. I plan to be back in the near future for a Mom date. If youve heard it, my bet is theyve got it!

I see a lot of complaints about the prices here, but, honestly theyre worth it for the service. Sure, you can go to a flea market, Goodwill, or other similar store and hunt and peck for 99 cent albums in the hopes theyll actually play, or you can come to Forever Young, pay a few bucks more, have access to a far vaster, more organized and well-curated selection, and have a guarantee that the record will play or your money back. The staff is always friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable, and Ive discovered so many new bands and artists through their recommendations. Its also just a really cool place to hang on weekends or in down time, browse, and find new things. You really cant ask for more, and the prices are more than justified.

I was like a kid in a candy store. Today is National Record Store Day. So much to look at and so many fond memories of the good old days of shopping for music.

My brother had been telling me about this place for weeks. Wall to wall CDs, 45s, LPs,, some vintage audio gear and novelty items. Well worth a trip to check out their stock.

We needed vinyl cleaner and this was the only store that had it, so we drove from Garland to Grand Prairie and it was worth it! 🤩We were immediately greeted and helped with what we needed by a very knowledgeable associate. We then noticed there was so much more to this store! So we had to look around and had so much fun. We could’ve probably spent hours in there but we had to beat the 5 o’clock traffic, lol.If you get a chance, check it out! 👍🏼

I love this place! Every time my family visits my aunt in Arlington, my dad and I make a point to stop by here. Their selection of used vinyl is usually amazing, but when we visited in early July they had mainly new vinyl. Dont get me wrong I love new vinyl. I believe that Forever Young being short on vintage records was because of the pandemic. Im sure they will get their stock of vintage vinyl back up in the coming months. Anyway, they have a room full of box sets and special half speed master recording vinyl records and more! They also have a great selection of CDs (new and used). If you need an obscure CD, dont forget to check they honestly might just have it.

This a great place to get modern recordings as well as Vintage recordings! They even sell vinyl and cassette vintage recordings! This is a throw back to the old record stores! It is a adventure and quite a big place. Treat yourself if youre a person of a certain age! Enjoy!

If you require to physically own your music. This is the go to place. Hard to find items galore. I cant remember the last time I visited here and left empty-handed.

This place is like Heaven for vinyl freaks. They have a boatload of all kinds of music. I usually peruse their jazz collection, which is vast, but theyve got rock, r & b, blues, soul, etc. This store even has records you cant find on Amazon! I would give 5 stars, but the prices can get kind of steep, but for the true vinyl connoisseur, cost might be irrelevant.

This is the place to go if your looking to add to your vinyl or cd collection. 5 ⭐ for having the immense collection in alphabetical order by genre... Much easier to find what you are looking for!

Killer place to find everything you need to rock out! From old to New, they have it all! The staff is friendly and helpful. They are always playing cool jams while you shop. Clean. Great pace to find some awesome collectable vynl, cassette, vhs, and CDs

I visit lots of record stores, antique places and even book stores in search of cds and records. Docs records Is my go to place. Im not sure if yall are struggling to keep the place open but man, these records are beyond over priced. I mean really? 30 bucks for most of the used records? theyre not in the greatest condition either. Im a bit confused. the one thing I will give yall is you have a waaaaay bigger catalog than lots of the other places i visit, from the records and cds, to the vast movie selection. its even really cool that yall have a separate room for rarities, but come on, these prices are nuts!!

First and foremost this place has been here since 1984. If youve never been here, prepare to spend some time; this place has jevery genre of music, Largest in Texas! Cds, dvds, albums, cassettes, antique audio players, t shirts, and collectible memorabilia.Ive been here plenty of times over the years and the staff here are always nice and helpful. Most likely, if they dont have it, they can get it!Located right off of 360 and mayfield @ 2955 s.hwy 360.Ill be back, check em out.

A great place to find stocking stuffers as well as hidden gems you couldn’t find anywhere else, plus the largest selection of Christian music in the metroplex!

Definitely will not be buying any more records from this store. me and my girlfriend recently came in and bought a record player, the record player worked fine for about 2 to 3 months and then it crashed. we went to talk with the owner and he really didn’t help us he was so defensive and all he offered us was $100 off of a completely different record player terrible customer service will not be returning.

Hasn’t been a time I’ve walked in where I didn’t walk out with an album. Always a hidden gem in here somewhere and the people who work here know there stuff.

If you need some records/cassette tapes or even somevintage band shirts this is the spot! Soo many options and genres to get into. The place is pretty large compared to other record shops so be prepared to spend time here.

They have A LOT of music and media types. The amount of memorabilia is notable. Staff is friendly and prices are in-line. My only knock is that the genres could be better separated. It could take more time to hunt than what is necessary. If you are a music nut be prepared to spend some time here.

Prices were a bit higher than I expected but the selection was vast. If you are looking for something specific definitely check here first.

This place has everything music! Literally everything you can think of and they i think every format of music. And if youre looking for vinyl they have tons of them. I think have the biggest collection in Texas. Also the staff is really knowledgeable and friendly. Its definitely worth checking out.

They got all the music you like to listen too. New or used CD, Records, Beta tape as well. Cool place as well employees there are friendly and will help you out.

The only store of its kind within at least 50 miles. This is for music collectors and has a great selection of official releases past and present. The staff is good and knowledgeable. I am a film music enthusiast, so I go here mainly for that. Unfortunately the layout can be a little confusing at times. And film scores have unfortunately been relegated to the floor under the displays, making perusal physically uncomfortable. Understandable, though, as Im assuming soundtracks are likely not too sellers. Also unfortunate are some of the prices, as many items can be found elsewhere for literally a fraction of the cost. Still, there are some bargains here and the used CD section is very good.If youre a music enthusiast I highly recommend Forever Young, as you will not find a selection this vast anywhere else nearby.

In Arlington from out of town, and love hitting local record shops when I travel. This is a great one - HUGE selection of both LPs and CDs. The only thing is that the CDs are probably a bit overpriced ($6-8 for a common CD), and used LPs are the same way. LOVED the record collector room - a bunch of LPs and box sets that are rare/bootlegs, and really fun to thumb through. Great staff as well.

Its a very wonderful place with Hella genres everywhere. Youll most likely find what youre looking for unless something really niche and even then they got some stuff like that in here.The only issue I have is that Im a broke Boi and cant spend more money here.
