This is probably one of the best butchers Ive ever been too!!! Everyone you talk to there is extremely nice, but if you get talking with Mark (the owner) you will leave with a smile. He is just a genuine man. Plus the meat there is great! For a great price. Supplying meat for the people!

The 1 positive I have to add say is their baked beans are great and will probably keep me going there on occasion. The problems I have is that their meats are mostly frozen. Very little options as far as fresh meats go. The prices seemed okay but bad compared to ralphs down the road. I went for sausage and all except the country sausage was frozen. Ralphs has fresh sausage for cheaper. So does Meijer. I havent actually thawed the meat to try it yet. Maybe Ill add a star if its completely amazing beyond expectation. But I really would like fresh meat from a meat shop. The last big gripe is that they dont take a bridge card. They are in an area where a good percentage of people would benefit from them taking it. And maybe if they took it they could sell enough meat to not have to freeze it? If every liquor store in the state can figure out how to take ebt then Im sure you could too if you really care to. Ill be back for the beans but thats probably the only thing I can really afford to splurge on.

Mark worked with me to do a custom order of various fresh cuts, boxed up and ready to deliver to each of our employees. They all greatly appreciated the thoughtful gift of meats during the pandemic, telling us later how delicious all the meats were. I’m so thankful for Mark’s willingness to do a large custom order during one of his busiest times. Glad I chose a quality, local butcher! P.S. Skip’s original with cheddar brats are fantastic!!!

So i dropped off a pretty good size buck 3 days ago and i just picked it up, and my god there was a ton of meat...im very impressed and happy with the cuts and the burger. defiantly only using these guys now on. oh and the roasts are crazy huge and nicely cut to. cant wait to slow cook one in the crock pot...well done Leyen & Son meats, well done

Thankful that you guys process deer quickly. Not very satisfied with the fact that my taxidermist called me saying the legs were caped out wrong and that the cape was starting to turn green, meaning it was going bad already. The buck was shot and brought straight there due to the warm temps. Probably wont bring anymore bucks there in the future.

Update: Everyone thing we have eaten from the bundles we bought has been 5 Star ⭐️ quality!We ordered frozen bundles from them and are very impressed with the quality of the meat and the vacuum sealed packages. Owners and staff are very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend them😁👍

Took a deer there at 2:45 on a Saturday and they were open but would not take the deer. Said come back on Monday. They were not taking anymore deer that day, “we are going home” she said.All my fellow hunters and I will not be going there. Their business is doing so well they don’t need our business.

This place has some of the very best meats and selections in town. All west siders must buy there meat from here! Very good deals and great tasting jerky’s too! Plus they have been around forever, trust these guys who have been here for years and years! Thanks

Meat is always SO GOOD!It is obvious Leyen & Son Meats takes time with their work in order to do a good job.I have yet to try a brat that I have not liked!My husband and I ordered an 1/8th of a cow during a sale last year, we still have a TON of steaks and have been highly satisfied.

Just brought a deer here to get processed. They did a wonderful job with packaging and getting it done fast, couldnt be more happy. Great!

I called on a Friday afternoon and asked if they were accepting deer and if they had room. They answered yes. When I showed up Saturday they told me no, we filled up Friday afternoon. It would have been nice if they would have told me we are close to being full call before you come in.

They have a great variety of homemade brats and fresh meat. Our kids loved the meat sticks.

Ive had them Smoke a Turkey for Thanksgiving the last two years. It was awesome everyone loves the taste!

Got my deer back from Leyen and Sons meats. Very happy with the service, only took 3 days to process. All the vension looks great no hair on the meat, and they did a great job trimming the fat off. I will defenttly be coming back.
